Virtual currency will never escape negative news. Bitcoin is currently the most favored criminal to commit crimes, and many even claim that Bitcoin crimes will not be traced. But Blockchain actually records all Bitcoin transactions, the way that Blockchain technology stores all Bitcoin transaction data in one place, so the offender is easily traced because it is visible from the trace of the transaction they are using.

Because the tool is not guilty, technical neutrality, block chain technology and BTC technology are not guilty!

Criminals can launder money without bitcoin.

The real problems in many of the networks that have been solved by bitcoin have been exploited by hackers and criminals because they are not traceable.

I strongly agree if the wrong is not bitcoin, crypto currency, or blockchain technology. The wrong is the person who misuses bitcoin for illicit transactions. It would be unfair if the technology developed in such a great way would be extinct. This is very unfair. Bitcoin can not be equated with criminality. Bitcoin is just a victim and bitcoin is just a scapegoat for the occurrence of crime. Bitcoin, which was originally intended as a technology, would facilitate but instead be misused. Therefore, it is very unfair to judge bitcoin forbidden. All this because the morality of its users is not good.

Bitcoin shouldn’t be made illegal by nations just because it is used by criminals, just as cars or dollar bills shouldn’t be made illegal because they are used by criminals.
We cannot blame bitcoin for being use by some bad people as still thousands of good people are using it for the betterment of humanity, as now charity is being done with bitcoin and bitcoin is making poor people highly rich, so if a few of bad fishes are using it for their own way the whole bitcoin will not get dirty with it, so let them be one day they will pay for their bad act, but apparently bitcoin does not have any connection with criminals.
Yeah because bitcoin can not choose who the users are worth using it. moreover there is no centralized control so no one will monitor and control if someone uses bitcoin for illegal stuff. so dont blame bitcoin. users have a loophole in using bitcoin because of the decentralization factor. so for a financial crime involving bitcoin. bitcoin can not prohibit that

I feel that this needs to be cautioned. It is difficult for the police to track illegal transactions. But my hope for the future, the police can be more sophisticated and understand about the world of internet and crypto, so we as a community do not have to worry anymore if there is crime through bitcoin..

I have seen some news regarding hackers, terrorists, and other criminals using bitcoin for illegal trades.
How the police can find about these transactions?
Even if is hard to track illegal transactions, I don't think that Bitcoin can be a danger to society, since the problem is the society and its people.
Since the beginning of the internet this is happening ( the bad people committing crimes)  and no one is willing to shutdown internet because of that, so in that matters Bitcoin should be equivalent. I think those illegal transaction are one of the reasons some governments and the media are trying to depreciate bitcoin, but the problem is not Crypto/blockchain or Bitcoin, is just the society.

Indeed, many criminals look for places where transactions can not be tracked so bitcoin is the target. Because the transaction system is anonymous and also can not be tracked.

Yes, such practice exists. There are criminals who steal bitcoins or turn out illegal cases. And all of the fact that bitcoin is still outlawed, and with theft and other situations, the government is interfering and doing nothing, Until they solve all issues with bitcoin

The alleged allegations by various parties even states that bitcoin is used for illegal transactions is certainly reasonable, anonymous features make criminals feel free and do not fear their identities publicly known, but there are many ways to make criminals do not use bitcoin by making regulations.

Yes that a rule is the most anticipated, to realize it then there must be support from the government. This is because the main character of the decision is the government, when the government can make a rule so that there will be a law made then it is of course that illegal actions can be reduced.

Some countries even resist Bitcoin, so it seems like it will take a long time. But I am very optimistic that it could happen in the future.

Its quite unfortunate that there is a group of people using Bitcoin to make illegal transactions, this is however not something to be blamed on Bitcoins. as its just a medium of pay. The group of outlaws using Bitcoin has brought hard times to Bitcoins as it struggles to win the faith of Investors with good intentions.the fact that Bitcoin is a free platform for anyone willing to use means there is little that can be done about it, but it doesn't mean that its BTC's fault either

Bitcoin is a digital currency, and like all currencies they can be used for good and for evil. The £$¥€ are all no different so people should stop tagging Bitcoin negatively

I see the criminal is just a bad thing and if bitcoin is criminalized it seems like a very bad and sad act because it will make the bitcoin name bad and ugly.

Criminals and terrorists are doing wrong things which is unethical and bad for the humanity so i believe that bitcoin is the digital money which may be use for any kind of activity. Bitcoin is the money which is designed for the promoting online business and payments over the internet and would love to use bitcoin for investment. we have to stay away from these type of people.

How do you do that when mostly the transactions are anonymous? It's inevitable that these kinds of people will use anything to their advantage, including bitcoin. That's why it's not a bad thing to have certain regulations implemented. As it stands, one thing that will drag crypto down would always be bad people have the luxury to use it for bad purposes.

I think there is nothing wrong with bitcoin, the wrong one is the one who abuse it. bitcoin itself is free, all transactions can not be tracked by anyone, with so many people using bitcoin the wrong way.

Crime has become part of human nature. Every thing that can make money there are many criminals. Criminals and bitcoins are well connected. Bitcoin is an anonymous cryptocurrency that helps them transact under the radar. But nowadays, there are many altcoins that do better than bitcoin in terms of privacy so bitcoin is now more of an investment or an asset than the currency used to transact illegally and Bitcoin gives us the possibility to share money directly without any disturbance.

I agree that the crimes you mentioned are some of the reasons the government forbids cryptocurrency. the longer, the police crime handling solution is also getting more sophisticated, I'm sure the police will solve this problem. actually not a lot of policing, but also all society should also keep the crime can be minimized.

Bitcoin can be a tool for progress but it really depends on how you use it. Much like a gun can be used to protect or destroy but it depends on who wields it. So it is regulated.

"Bitcoin is losing its luster with some of its earliest and most avid fans (criminals too) giving rise to a new breed of virtual currency"
"Privacy coins such as monero, designed to avoid tracking, have climbed faster over the past two months as law enforcers adopt software tools to monitor people using bitcoin"
Quoted from: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-01-02/criminal-underworld-is-dropping-bitcoin-for-another-currency

Remember the story of Edward Snowden. Governments now have technologies that are easily searchable by anyone. Most often it is simply not in their interest.
