By the way, Ukrainian constitution already has such definition of the marriage in the article #51.

They'll be forced to change it, by the EU.

Looks like the revolution continues:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y9dkS-qVz3c

Verbatim transcript:
Quote
Headquarters of self-defence of South-East addressed citizens of our regions. This night arrests of our activists were conducted. Cleansing and searches continue. Militia betrays us. I, Bulatov Valeij Dmitrievich, am heading public organisation "Union of veterans of airborn troops of Lugansk region". Was personally involved in collecting and delivering funds to the wounded fighters of Berkut and ABN soldiers. I hope that Ministry of Inernal Affairs still has people of honour, who will truly go with the people. I rally the people of South-East to go with open opposition. Everything that was planend for the 6th of Aprisl must be realised. We must not back off. This is our land.

This is pretty much open to interpretation. Any internet video should be taken with a healthy dose of scepticism. What is known, however, is that people in South-East are fed up with the American rule over Ukraine through a proxy government. How that state of mind is used or abused, well, history will show. The whole situation in Ukraine is bordering on absurd now.

In the meantime, the coup government in Kiev is screaming that they don't like the new non-discounted price for gas and threaten to go to the international court in Stockholm over it.

‘100% sure Berkut police didn’t shoot people in Kiev’ – ex-Ukrainian interior minister

http://rt.com/news/snipers-ukraine-maidan-berkut-613/

Quote
“Berkut riot police were without their service weapons. On February 18 and 19, 86 police officers were wounded by gunshots. Fourteen of them died. They were internal troops, military, Berkut, and traffic police, who were shot at their post checkpoint,” he said.

...

“It’s clear for any reasonable person that if it were the law enforcement officers who opened fire, they would’ve probably been advancing. That would’ve been the reason to use firearms. Meanwhile, they began retreating after the killing of their troops began,” he said.

More than half of those died were either policemen or pro-Russians. It is just retarded to blame the Berkut for all this.

Seriously, Ukrainians need to re take Kiev by any means and ask Russia for help. (no need to be part of russia if they don't want to but can be very strong allies so no one mess with Ukraine again) The usa and the EU only wants to use Ukraine for strategic purposes and the gas / power pipelines control,, BUT seems they lost interest because Crimea (power pipelines control) got annexed with Russia

It doesn't matter who will become a president, because there are no differences between these candidates. All of them came from the "old" power and all of them are populist, corrupt figures without any real political program. They even worse than Yanukovich because he had a program, at least... Darth Vader filed a court case on the election committee, citing his removal from presidential election run uncosntitutional:
http://ria.ru/world/20140407/1002817615.html

In one of reader comments, I read that Darth is the only candidate that can be acceptable to both the Eastern and Western regions of the country.

Any idea about the crowd size? The biased BBC will always say that there were only a few dozen or at the most a few hundred.

Antimaidan crowd size is similar to maidan counterpart, i.e. something like 150-170k. At previous weekend we've seen almost 500k rally. Roll Eyes

Now they are electing representatives of another cities in the donetsk region, it's planned to replace a local government with these representatives, create a republic of Donetsk and announce referendum on independence. Will see...

Obama calls Putin:
- Vladimir, your actions in Donetsk violate international law.
- Barak, on the Russian maps we renamed Alaska. Alaska now called ice-Crimea.
- Ice cream? or ... You're kidding me? You want my death? I turned gray because of you! If you take the South-Eastern Ukraine, I will introduce more sanctions against 15 officials!
- Agreed.
- I hate you.
- Loser.

Rather than concentrating on the 3 far-eastern provinces, they should also make sure that the Southern oblasts like Kherson and Odessa also conducts referendum.

One step at a time. Smiley
Odessa, founded by Empress Catherine the Great in 1794 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odessa) and it's not improbable that Odessa and Novorossija will be returning home as well.
On the other hand, Odessa, which since the imperial times was a freeport, has a more diverse and independent population and might choose their own way forward. A City-State of Odessa, anyone?

The new billionaire governor of the Donetsk region has no intention of allowing Moscow to carry out another Crimean-style annexation here in coal-mining, steel-making eastern Ukraine, which lies temptingly along the Russian border.

The power has been seized by protesters, referendum on independence was announced.

It's planned to ask people do they support creation of new sovereign state or not. Name was chosen already, People's Republic of Donetsk.

Hmm. Russian internet newspaper seems a bit too eager:
http://www.gazeta.ru/politics/news/2014/04/07/n_6065953.shtml

Stating that the referendum is about joining of Donetsk Republic with Russia (instead of the question of its independence), and saying that the interim government asked Putin for peace-keeping forces (omitting the mention that is should be done only in case of violence from Kiev).

I don't like the feel of the information fog...
