Poroshenko asked to have some time to think before signing of association agreement with EU:
http://top.rbc.ru/politics/28/05/2014/926930.shtml

"Have some time to think" can be interpreted as "postpone". Wasn't it one of the reasons why Yanukovich was displaced in the first place..?

Yatsenjuk asks Putin to close Russian-Ukrainian border "to prevent entry of Russian soldiers on Ukrainian territory":
http://www.gazeta.ru/politics/news/2014/05/28/n_6189961.shtml

Yeah, but Yanukovich said "No." while Poroshenko said "We have to take care of the civil war situation first, before we can divert our attention to more international matters." Which, you know, makes sense.

OK... now we have the first confirmed foreign interference in Ukraine.

I'm pretty sure Russian invasion of Crimea was the first confirmed foreign interference in Ukraine. Russia trying to sabotage the election with a computer virus that would have made Right Sector Yarosha win with 37%, and then not realizing that the virus was discovered and running this news report claiming that he won https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z3ltHXUkkG4 was another. Point is there was a ton of foreign interference in Ukraine from Russia way before anyone else got there.

Good. Maybe that will finally force some change in that government.

What I don't understand is, why are you morons so up in arms over a "democratically elected" president being deposed for trying to become a dictator, and then are so alarmed about the possibility of a right wing fascist government coming to power, but are completely ignoring the actual dictator-in-all-but-name FASCIST in the cuntry just to the east of Ukraine? Worse, you are actually supporting his news and his propaganda! I have no idea what political views you guys have, but if I had to guess, it'd be pro-totalitarian statists. Not libertarian/anarchist that the majority of bitcoin supporters are.

I'm sorry but the only "moron" is in your mirror, because only a moron would believe in something like that. Who told you this nonsense, CNN or FoxNews? I'm afraid that I haven't seen anything more stupid during the last two months. Cheesy

Don't be naive, do you really believe that police is unable to disperse such demonstration? If he wanted to become a dictator, he would have got it. If you believe that special forces were unable to resolve this type of problem, then you have never seen this guys in action. Less than 15 minutes would be required to resolve these "protests" by force.

He even wouldn't need to use an armed forces for that, just give the "Berkut" an order to use batons, and it's done... But unfortunately, Yanukovych has no balls to do what is needed to be done right from beginning, and he ordered them to do nothing. Unlike the US, Russian, Greek or German governments, who doesn't shrink from using the batons, tear gas attacks and other democratical correction practices.

Yeah, that's kinda what Yanukovich was going for, and why he got kicked out.
It seems that somebody has no idea about EU and US observers, who have confirmed that elections were legitimate.

and then are so alarmed about the possibility of a right wing fascist government coming to power, but are completely ignoring the actual dictator-in-all-but-name FASCIST in the cuntry just to the east of Ukraine? Worse, you are actually supporting his news and his propaganda! I have no idea what political views you guys have, but if I had to guess, it'd be pro-totalitarian statists. Not libertarian/anarchist that the majority of bitcoin supporters are.

I see these bold tags, baseless insults and continuous, senseless propaganda accusations... And I find that it's a strong reason to think that you are too obsessed with "these damn russians propaganda dictator invasion killer occupation hitler muahahaha" stuff. This is exactly what is seen in virtually every your message here. Apparently, it's quite important for you. I see typical pattern here:

1. Your gf have dropped you? / Your salary is not enough to cover the bills? / Your neighbor is a fool? / whatever
2. Blame it on russians.
3. PROFIT.

This is understandable, it's difficult to avoid the temptation to accept a simple explanation for all problems. But it's actually a dead end because russians, ukrainians[, ...] just don't give a fuck about your existence and they never will. Smiley

Calm down and try to find lovely girl, share a drink with her and then think how wonderful that we are all living in this world. Everything will become normal after that, and clear thinking will quickly return. Good luck.

Former Georgian minister and businessman Kaha Bendukidze is appointed as presidential advisor in Ukraine:
http://lenta.ru/news/2014/05/28/advisor/

Quote from Wikipedia:
"Bendukidze does not belong to Putin's circle of friends and he understood sooner than everyone else that everything would be taken away from him..."
"He is known as a committed libertarian[1] and strong supporter of market economy, deregulation and privatization"

Sounds like a great choice! Maybe with him Ukraine will finally start moving away from Russian-style socialism, towards a more open and wealthier market economy.

I agree only with one word there. It'll surely be wealthier, for the ones closest to the top.

I was hoping that the presidential elections would mean a de-escalation in the conflict in Eastern Ukraine. Seems like I was completely wrong. Somewhere around 200 people killed in the last 3 days, and both the sides are preparing for a major battle.

You are not alone there.

I started losing hope for peaceful resolution once Carev was bullied out of the presidential run. He was the only candidate with a peace program and interests of both Western and Eastern Ukraine covered, so he was standing a good chance of getting elected by a true majority.

There's been more deaths these past 3 days, than over the period of the last month prior to elections.

The first setback for the Ukrainian army in the post-election conflict.

Ukrainian army chopper downed as shelling of Slavyansk and Kramatorsk begins

http://rt.com/news/162248-shelling-slavyansk-kramatorsk-ukraine/

This is the 3rd chopper being downed by the self-defence forces in Slavyansk. The Kiev junta is using Choppers to extensively bomb the civilian targets in the Donetsk Oblast.

'War is a plague': Donetsk students’ pacifist song leaves TV anchor in tears on air (VIDEO)

Quote
“Our central message is for people who are responsible for the violence, asking them to stop the chaos as soon as possible — so there would be peace and no more war. War is like a plague, it is everywhere, it needs to be eliminated,” Dmitry Vesov, one of the students signing in the video, told Donbass TV.

“Military operations are everywhere, blasts can be heard all the time. It is very scary for kids. Do we really have to see dead bodies in order to realize that we need to love and understand each other?” said Maria Severilova, another ninth grade student.

Well... It seems that we need to apply a humanitarian bombing to presidential residence. That will resolve all issues immediately.

Seriously, people are getting tired of that, they need a humanitarian bombing. Roll Eyes

http://www.themoscowtimes.com/opinion/article/the-last-laugh-is-on-rogozin/500460.html

It seems like one of the top officials in Russia is already thinking of this.

Rogozin, who is on the European Union's list of sanctioned individuals, has repeatedly threatened neighboring states with Russia's nuclear arsenal in recent weeks. When Ukraine and Romania had denied his airplane the right to fly over their territories earlier this month, Rogozin threatened that next time he would visit the region in a Tu-160 strategic bomber, which carries nuclear weapons, essentially threatening a nuclear attack.

What is his postion, or rather what does "Deputy Prime Minister" mean in the Russian government ? Can't find a clue on wiki.

#3 of #4 person in the power chain after President and Prime Minister, depending whether you place the Defence Minister as #3 of #5. Speaker of the Parliament is #6.

In the Government he is at level #2:

Here are his responsibilities:

There's more to that article!

Quote
At the same time, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk cautioned President Yanukovich against «disproportionate use of force» against the Maidan. Today Donald Tusk, whose grandfather, Josef Tusk, served in Hitler’s Wehrmacht, demands that the Kiev junta deal with the «eastern rebels» harshly, «as with terrorists».

...

U.S. top officials and their close relatives have a great personal interest in all the countries invaded by American occupation forces, starting back in the days of the wars against Yugoslavia and Iraq. For example Kerry’s predecessor as Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright, has business in «independent Kosovo», and Biden’s predecessor as vice president, Richard Cheney, and his family, as well as yet another U.S. secretary of state, Condoleeza Rice, latched onto Iraq’s energy resources through Halliburton and Chevron. The same kinds of interests are appearing in those who serve the interests of Americans in Eastern Europe, as well. For example, Ukraine’s ex-Minister of Ecology Mykola Zlochevsky and former president of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski are on the Board of Directors of Burisma Holdings.

Natural resources (shale gas) in Ukraine:

Quote
And the shale gas extraction contract is written such that the Ukrainian government is obligated to forcibly take property away from its lawful owners if Shell states that it plans to drill on those lands. The vicinity of Slavyansk has been selected as the location for the drilling of the first gas wells…

The place where the Ukrainian army is concentrated, supported by the Right Sector, the private punitive battalions of fascist oligarch Igor Kolomoisky and mercenaries from American and Polish PMCs, points directly to one of the main reasons for the punitive operation: that the Kiev regime is serving the business interests of the commanding elite of the U.S. and Poland. It is around Slavyansk and Kramatorsk that the most violent clashes between the punitive forces and the people of the Donets Basin have taken place, while Izyum is the main base for Ukrainian forces participating in the punitive operation.

I'm sorry but the only "moron" is in your mirror, because only a moron would believe in something like that.
Which facts do you disagree with?
That Yanukovych was democratically elected?
That he tried to gain dictatorial powers by illegally changing the constitution?

87 pages... hundreds of posts from you and just a couple of other people. Surely you have enough "free time" on your hands (which you're not being paid for Wink Wink ) to answer the original question?

Quote

Any primitive caveman society can use a police force to brutally disperse crowds. As bad as Yanukovych might have been, your own comment shows that even under his leadership the Ukrainians had a more "advanced" attitude than your "just beat the nationalists with batons" Stalinism.

I have a question for you: when your computer breaks, do you smash it with a hammer? Who knows, if you hit the right part at just the right angle, you could repair it in under 5 seconds!

Also I would love to see the opinion of another polish official , like Jarosław Kaczyński who lost his brother in a mysterious accident a few years ago Smolensk , which was "obviously" not the fault of... anybody.

Regardless, it's a low tactic to make insinuations about a prime minister having "Nazi genes", or even commenting at all about family history unless it's somehow relevant. Such bad journalism betrays the reader's trust.

You mean the plane that got shot down, exploded, and hit a tree, while attempting to land in an artificial fog because the other Kaczyński ordered the pilot to hurry up so he wouldn't be late for the ceremony?

Don't you see? It was at least 5 different special forces -- possibly including aliens! -- all acting independently to get rid of those xenophobic PiS-heads.

Umm. Unsuitable landing conditions. Airport, not equipped for zero-visibility landing. Aiplane instruments calibrated to wrong 0-altitude level. Pilot under pressure to land as pilot's colleague was grounded before when he refused to land under difficult conditions in Georgia. A mysterious person in the cockpit.

Take your pick for the "fault". In aviation, it's usually a combination of faults that kills.

Moscow Surprised by Kiev’s Move to Reject Russian Humanitarian Aid
