I am adding it to the site now. Can you please add a note at the top or something specifying how to set the parameters so new users don't get confused?

Also, when we confirm everything is working, please send the code to me too. I'll install it on a VM instance. Thanks!

Ok great, thanks, I will wait until we find a block or two to make sure everything is working fine, then i will add the source to github so more nodes can be created, I will then add a detailed how to to the page.

I think I sent around 1 mhs to you , tho why does the expected time to find a block increase when more hash power is added ??

eta was 5 hrs and now 9 hrs ?

my invalid rates are still 5x what they are normally

ETA can vary depending on actual speed and difficulty, hopefully we will find a block much earlier!

ST:1  SS:81 NB: 2265 LW:37195

OK go ahead and laugh but I give up. What do these exactly mean in cgminer console? I've been mining for quite some time but I can not find any documentation on these. I like to play the guessing game but ...when I first started a while back I guessed HW meant hard worker so when my gpu had a 1000 of them I thought "damn that gpu is a hard worker"...lol!

In the order I guessed...
ST=???
SS= stupid shit, stale shares ?
NB= nice boobs, no boobs? Does cgminer look for that?
LW = longwong, length of work?

Seriously, its driving me nuts!

Since UltraCoinMiner is derived from Cgminer, the terminology is the same.

Head over to http://www.kaostheory.net/ and click "Understanding the Cgminer Interface". There you go.

Important: UTC first p2pool down for maintenance

Thanks for all people who helped with the tests, I have to take down the p2pool now as i see some warnings and errors I don't like in the logs, so i prefer to take it down and go through these first so i don't waste your hashpower, no block was found so far. Thanks again for your support!

Just when I wanted to test Smiley
Keep up the good work, and once it works, share the code. Will put another two p2pool servers up, so we spread the infrastructure.

So what are the nasty error logs ?
also any idea's on why reject rate is higher ?
even after falling over to backup pools rejects have dropped drastically

mining on the p2p reminds me of greek pool with their 10~20% orphans vs pickaxe's 1~3% per 100 blocks

p2p  went down just when I was going to toss more HASH at it
I was setting up 3x rigs (another 18x R9 290's )  for testing  I wanted to find that darn block Tongue

on another note I waisted my entire afternoon to only just realize now I forgotten to change the bios flash switch position on a rig I was trying to work out why it kept hanging after I 13 when i was wanting I 18 still tweaking an 64 bit OS for mining with,
cryptoslax is doing the job , just need to change its partition type fat 32 way to slow .. but that's what the instructions said to use ... ext4 is still prototype stage so I guess ext3 will have to do

There were a few errors in the logs, and some shares seemed to be lost, i will debug all the current issues later today and give it another test later today, but overall the result was positive as the work was sent right and addresses recognized with their shares and shares accepted, so that's a good thing.

Regarding the rejects, i noticed that too, but  p2p will need  a config tweak compared to regular pools, also i had 2 r9 290 cards (HIS) which had 1% or less rejects and another 2 sapphire ones which had 10% rejects using the same config so i guess the rejects issues can be solved.

Glad to know you had more power to help me test, just keep it in leash until later today Smiley

Also I use ext4 without any problems on most of my servers, works just perfect!

Thanks for your help in testing!

I'm with both of you. I don't even look at the price anymore. It's all about the community for me. The price will catch up in due course and we will all look back on whatever it's trading at now and think, "if I would have only bought more when it was that cheap."

Buying in blocks at cryptsy at the moment, reinvesting LTC profits Smiley

Also thinking this coins highly undervalued at the moment, the transfer times are amazing.
