I'm such a dumbass, I bought into the Spaincoin hype this weekend, sold all my UTC hoping to make a quick buck and buy back more UTC.  Instead I went from 3900 UTC to 300 UTC, lost my ass.  That was a hard lesson to learn, 3 months of mining/trading basically down the drain  Angry

Ok how is that possible?

You sold utc at 260 and bought spa at 0.005? Then dumped it at 0.0008 then bought utc at 290?

Damn UTC is bleeding on the exchanges and buy orders getting removed!! Sad all the same coins are growing!!

we need media of PUMP attention! i know that this is not a pump coin but we need to get some notice! that people are talking about it!
you see it now with BC ( blackcoin ) it getting pumped right now and every exchange is talking about it!!

meby a joint venture that we can raise some BTC to get a community pump going?

Last buy on UTC one hour ago for the rest all sells, if we dont do anything now!! there is nothing to sell anymore

So STOP bitching about your miner settings, because if your mining coins have no value what are you doing?

How about thinking a little longer term than one-two days.  Most altcoins are down because of the frenzy on litecoin.  The frenzy should die off in 3 to 4 days.

UTC first p2pool call for testers:

I just fixed the HW errors in the p2pool, currently testing with my rig, if anyone cares to join me in the tests, this could solve the issues with orphans and big pools monopoly, i will release the script as soon as this final test is positive.

Please point your miners here:

http://thepool.pw:8336

and use your UTC address as username

for example -o http://thepool.pw:8336 -u UZupsSvwk...

you will receive payments directly to your address after block is found!

I worked really hard on this fork hoping it will help solve the ongoing issues with pools.

Something to consider in n terms of the UTC price dip. It’s no secret that a pretty significant portion of early UTC buyers were the people who learned about the coin via Bumface’s role as BTC-e Trollbox Mod. Since BTC-e was and still is one of the top exchanges in LTC the chances are that the same people that invested in UTC have/had been trading LTC for a while. It would probably follow then that any serious LTC volatility or opportunity would have a disproportionate  impact on the price of UCT simply due to the shared investor base.

I don’t have any data to back this up, Im just speculating based on my own experience of trading LTC and BTC on BTC-e for over a year now. The shoes fit.

Awesome! Going to throw some hash at it now.

Edit: Have approx 750KHs on it.

Just a note. If you browse to the graphs page, it renders a graph for each miner. This could be an issue for server load down the road, no?

I'll throw a card or two on it when I get home

Any way / dash board to keep track off orphan blocks ect

How many confirms

Assuming shared % based on who was mining during the block

and what's the fee for P2P

Assuming you also added the other pools in as nodes ??

*edit* for those that use config files

Code:
{
"pools" : [

{

"name" : "VirtualBox wallet",

"url" : "http://thepool.pw:8336",

"user" : "UNMcfuZT2hskdjflsdf73445ghQ",

"pass" : "x",

"pool-priority" : "0"

},

No hardware errors , 10% rejects and lower WU then normal barely 90%
rejects should settle down  might have been a few old hash’s being calculated

yeh I know , I tried getting nitro to do p2p and they wouldn't even after I told them they can still get their fee's

I have my own personal p2p server which is what I use for my own mining rigs, pretty much how I always solo mine on coin launches Tongue

Great, thanks for your help testing, the graphs should not be an issue for the current server as it has plenty of resources, but they can be disabled easily for future nodes with system limitations.

Thanks for your help too, the stats are here: http://thepool.pw:8336

For confirms p2pool works differently, please try to search online for more details.

The pool uses pplns, the current fee is 1% just to test, but can be changed easily by people wanting to run a node

There is no other p2pool yet for UTC, so hopefully after finishing these tests, more p2pool nodes can be created and linked together, maybe some big pools can create some nodes too!
