The current performance of UTC which can be seen by some as modest or stagnant is actually excellent: in a context where everything slides back and prices go down day after day, seeing that UTC/BTC remains quasi constant tends to prove the current UTC/BTC = 0.0002x level has actually very well consolidated and is rock solid.

The number of miners is also impressive and has consistently grown since a few weeks. Maybe an effect of the DOGE crashing and LTC asics starting to show up as well. Nothing comes for free in this world

Anyway congrats to everyone for this: I know we're onto something here.

However, the clock is ticking because we have to raise over the next weeks. I'm not saying this will have to be impressive like a big pump, but rather that price should exhibit the marks of a _sane_ organic growth, as in more people come in and buy. If we can get 0.00005 or more per month that will be enough and more solid than doubling in one day. This or we might face impatients who will want out of the game and make a negative impact on the prices.

We do not need to be fast, we need to be consistent and attract people around because they see UTC as an investment.

When this happens I have little doubts that big exchanges will follow.

So let's not focus onto getting on another big exchange too fast. We have cryptsy that really is good and that at the time being has the same volume than mintpal, whereas crypto-trade remains the unchallenged 800 pounds gorilla with more volume than all the other exchanges combined.

This shows that we reached a bottleneck. In effect cryptsy is the biggest echange and until it reaches and exceed CT volume we know that trying to list UTC on a bigger exchange is not necessary and could even be counter productive for it might lead to a disappointment for both us as well as the exchange. Until cryptsy becomes the biggest UTC exchange we have time to grow.

What to conclude?

 - Marketing is our issue. It's not a problem because so far we did well. It is something we have to drive to a higher level.

We have to get better exposure, but also vendor acceptance.

o Exposure will come little by little, we should not make too much noise at once because this will lead to a straw fire.

o Vendor acceptance is critical: if we can get even a very small share of some e-commerce, doesn't even need to be global, then we can consider that we are on a good track.

To sum up: Let's carry on growing safely and consistently. We should not try to go faster than all the other coins, rather exhibit our ability to be an excellent investment, if possible on of the best around.

Growth should always start slowly. Growth comes from normal people, not whales.
So we have to start trying to get popular.

You are right. The most important is we need time because it's not working without enough $ supply.

Even with decent vendor support, the price will fluctuate too much if there's no enough coin mined.

We are waiting on Stuhlman to issue the pool split. Hashing will be divided accordingly. He mentioned either today or tomorrow. Hoping for today.

Still working on the undervolting page, among others. But I am re-posting this because I added the stock roms for the 2 Sapphire's and the Gigabyte.

Save Money by Undervolting

Quote
Here are some of my modified BIOS files and their respective models/voltages. I've also included a copy of ATIWinFlash. Furthermore, I have an ASUS bios, just not on me at the moment. Will upload later.

https://www.dropbox.com/sh/g894zll2mrsd7gy/hEnCekUOmZ

NOTE: I highly recommend you back up your stock BIOS. I only have the Toxic stock in their now but will upload the rest soon as I get home.

The numbers correspond to the voltage and I have only included one's that have been running stable for me with the following config:

Code:
--scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 -I 12 --gpu-engine 1000 --gpu-memclock 1250 -w 256 -g 2 --auto-fan --temp-target 75 --temp-overheat 80 --temp-cutoff 85 --thread-concurrency 16384

A good, full Windows guide can be found here if you want to experiment with additional voltages: http://releasethecrypto.com/undervolting.html

ultra2.nitro.org is now ready and in testing period. I put 1MH from my rigs on it, but will need some people with Higher MH to help and find the first block so we can be sure payments and other stuff are processing correctly, before we initiate the special rewards for moving. We did duplicate all the accounts. Any miner on Nitro will be able to access his account on Nitro 2 as well, the only difference is changing the port number on the miner. All workers and workers passwords are the same.

I'm working on a rig this weekend with 5 R9 280X just for UC mining. If you help me out getting it running that would be appreciated and I'm all in and can hopefully help everyone out.
