I have a R9 290 + HD 5770. With previous n-factor I had no issue, now I'm getting a lot of hw errors. My config is:

setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
ultracoinminer -o stratum+tcp://ultra.leetpools.com:3333 -u HackaB321.worker1 -p a --scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 24550,8000 -I 15,12 --lookup-gap 2 --auto-fan --temp-target 85 --temp-overheat 91 --gpu-engine 1000,880 --gpu-memclock 1500,1250 --gpu-powertune 20 --expiry 10 --scan-time 1 --queue 0

Any suggest? Thanks

Memory is what's needed with 2560 shaders @ 1 meg

Try TC @ 42000 and you might even be able to get I 18
I know R9 290's can run that
Personally I feel likeI am getting higher WU using worksize of 64

As promised, here's a screenshot of the chart so far. I'm working on the orderbook, then history, then need to set it up to stream to the user (instead of the user pulling the data, it will be pushed). A few more days and it will be ready...

(Other changes - shorten decimal numbers, verify numbers are correct, more dynamic candlesticks, cryptsy and mintpal charts, compare three exchanges on a chart). I also have a lot of other things planned, but this will be release 1.

Looks awesome dcgirl.  I can't wait to try it!

Not sure why everyone keeps saying Nitro is stealing all the blocks. I am consistently getting less coins than it says I should in 24 hours. My daily says I should be getting 190 per day, but that number is closer to 100. Does UTC have a dependable p2pool by chance?

Just wanted to throw an update out here. First, I want to thank Biodragon for his continued input and help. Secondly, we have applied some "fixes" over at the http://ultra.leetpools.com pool. The crazy orphan rates seem to have subsided, and we have the wallet optimized to run uber fast. If you other pool owners want, pm me and I can share the optimizations that Biodragon helped me out with.

hi,

it's me again

I am trying to configure a bat file (windows 8.1) for sgminer for mining UTC  on http://utc.pool.pm/and it does not work at all

I tried :

Code:
sgminer -k scrypt-jane -o stratum+tcp://pickaxe.pool.pm:3306 -u xx -p yy

(xx being my worker name and yy my worker password)

Can somebody help ? What am i doing wrong ?

Thanks  Smiley

Hi, please download the UTC optimized miner. U can get it here: http://ultracoin.net/mining.html
Then you'll probably have to include some settings for your videocard in ur .bat file, look to some configurations throughout this thread. (Look at the last 50 pages, otherwise it will be configurations for the previous N factor)

Try to set your cgwatcher to restart the miner every 5 hours and see if that helps.

Depends upon system RAM..

8GB RAM go for TC 42000, I 18
4GB RAM - I use the same with a lookup gap of 3, others have success with gpu threads 2, tc 21000 and lower I

dunno if there doing a 50utc block bonus

but you have to be the only person to submit shares in the block to get full reward

you just get a payment of UTC depending of how many of the shares you put into the block

hmmmmm, I'm not getting close those numbers with my current setup. The best I can manage is with my original setting of about 84Khs per card and a WU of:

GPU 0 = WU: 72.6
GPU 1 = WU: 84.6
GPU 2 = WU: 75.6
GPU 3 = WU: 72.6

I tried increasing TC to 191712 and adding --lookup-gap 3, however; that dropped my hash rate to the 60's and my WU to the 50's. My invalid % also went up on my mining pool.

Wirly, would you be willing to share your .conf or .bat file so I can give it a shot on my system?

I have the hd7950 Boost edition stock oc is 925/1250
also my system memory is 8gb dram @ 1600mhz
Here my .bat settings:
--scrypt-jane --sj-nfmin 4 --sj-nfmax 30 --sj-time 1388361600 -w 256 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 16128 --no-submit-stale --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-reorder -I 12 --gpu-vddc 1.12 --auto-gpu --gpu-powertune 20 --gpu-engine 925-1100
--gpu-memclock 1250 --gpu-fan 65 --temp-overheat 80 --temp-cutoff 90 --queue 0 --scan-time 1 --expiry 10

this gave me hashrate 104 kh/s,

then changed win virtual memory set to "manual" at "22000mb" (64gb ssd drive) for programs- Not let windows decide and this increased hashrate by 10% to 114kh/s and a WU of 93 to 110 on 11 cards. This surprised me

Edit: now I am getting the occasional random hw error, not sure if this is related to pool difficulty or anything else but wu is still good so I will let it go for a bit and see what happens. Don't want to lower the "cha-ching" rate if don't have to!

Hey, thanks for posting your .bat . I have 4x Sapphire Dual-X (SKU 11196-19-20G) stock clock 850Mhz/925Mhz boost clock. Other than that, my setup looks identical to yours.   I tried this .bat and got my hash rate up to 90, WU rate also increased, which is awesome but...bad news bears - one card went *dead* after a few hours of mining.

I think this has to do with my cards not getting enough power. I see your vddc setting is 1.12(0?), I have mine flashed to 1.113 and I don't think cgminer was able to bump up the voltage through the .bat I'll try flashing to 1.125v and 1.131v and see what happens.

What does --gpu-reorder accomplish?

--gpu-reorder attempts to number the gpu according to the pci-e slots on the mob, just for reference purpose. Be careful overvolting this card, it is the one thing that will fry the vrm, watch out for throttling, a sure sign of running to much power. It would be safer to just find  settings that work. just put engine clock lower until it is stable and accept what hashrate it gives you.

Thanks for explaining --gpu-reorder, previously I figured out the card order by disabling 3 of the GPU's and turning fans on the fourth to 90%. Repeated this until I had the order.

I'm not planning on overvolting the cards, these cards came with a stock voltage of 1.269v, currently I have them flashed down to 1.113v. Bumping the voltage to 1.125 or 1.131 would still be undervolted vs stock settings.
