my mom and i wanted to invest 8 btc in altcoins 2 days ago. we narrowed down our choices to utc and mazacoin. we thought about going half and half then utc started going up and we bought with the whole 8 btc in ultracoin.
it went down more than half and mazacoin went up from 0.00000600 to 0.00019000.
i hate you bumface you lost me 250 btc.  

i dont hate you but i hate my self. i want to die i lost 250 btc that i could have had.
on top of that utc went down half and i lost 4 btc.
i hate my self.
i feel like crap now.
i will hold this utc and hope it goes on cryptsy so i can break even or make some profit.

Relax, UTC will go back to 0.0004 once crypto-trade comes back

They will (probably) not add UTC on a short term.


So then only one important big exchange is left over to get UTC add on. Cryptsy !

But how far is UTC with that goal

MCXNOW might be a option to. Max coin is the only coin on there with big volume but the do have a lot off users so so if I were them I would be interested in a high potential coin:UTC.

Im still a believer and Ive been holding my UTC. Is there anything you need from the community? Would be great to see it on BTC-E and Cryptsy.

How about a VPN service with various billing bundles to avoid monthly recurring charges. Seems like UTC and an autonomous VPN service could be a winner since there's a pretty strong demand for anon VPNs these days. I'm just a little fuzzy on how UTC transactions get processed when they are used to buy stuff, But then again...maybe getting a payment processor might go hand in hand with taking UTC to the next level all by itself.

Antway, call it UltraVPN. Do a little dance and eat cupcakes or something..

Hmmm   this is for the upcoming months serious bad news for the Ultracoin miners, traders and holders.

Let us be honest, we all hoped a little that UTC would be get add at BTC-e soon or not ?

This bad news means that the coin will probably not reach +$1 or +$2 in the upcoming long period.

If you have a serious ammount of coins in your wallet you need to go for the long haul now, at least for 1 year or longer to get you investment back and hope UTC will not die before.

And even then, on the long haul, there is no guarantee !

Its unfortunate you missed some gain, i have been there  , but Missed profits is not the same as loosing money.

UTC is a medium hold, if your investment did not go x10 in 1 day, this is normal, relax. There is a differentce between gambling and investing.when warren buffet buys something he is thinking what can i do with this in 5 years....

When a coin goes down , it is not dead for ever....If you dont want to make a loss, then dont sell.I did see the mazacoin rise, that would have been nice, but we cant look into the future.if we could we would all have bought bitcoin when it was 3 cent.....

There is not enough buy orders to even sell 8 BTC worth of UTC anyways.

In MintPal, with roughly 4 BTC in hand, you can wipe out the entire buy/sell orders clean!
So yeah, wait until at least Crypto-Trade comes back. Then we might see the real price.

 I use SMOS and was trying to install the miner.  I unzipped the zip file, then I ran

./configure --enable-scrypt --enable-opencl

It however ended with this

Configuration Options Summary:

  curses.TUI...........: FOUND: -lncurses
  OpenCL...............: NOT FOUND. GPU mining support DISABLED
configure: error: No mining configured in

What did I miss?  I am thinking either it is not compatible with SMOS or I should have put it in a specific place.  Any help would be appreciated.  And sorry if this is the wrong place for this post.

UTC is a medium hold, if your investment did not go x10 in 1 day, this is normal, relax. There is a differentce between gambling and investing.when warren buffet buys something he is thinking what can i do with this in 5 years....

When a coin goes down , it is not dead for ever....If you dont want to make a loss, then dont sell.I did see the mazacoin rise, that would have been nice, but we cant look into the future.if we could we would all have bought bitcoin when it was 3 cent.....

Just dont sell the UTC you bought, you havent lost yet. The value will go up. Im still buying UTC

Remember trading in virtual coins or real stocks can give you large lost but also (smal or big) profit.

Win or loose.
Loose or win.

Be carefull with trading and only put money in trading if you or your mom dont need it on short term.
Dont take (to) big risks because they can give big problems...

For the rest, keep your faith and hold your position to sell later if prices are better...
