But sometimes, demand just comes from being on a big exchange that is trusted, proven and secure.
Just imagine what will happen if Ultracoin goes on BTC-e today. It'll sky rocket. (Not so much Cryptsy)

Plus, being on a decent, trusted exchange brings an air of legitimacy to a coin. I don't think cryptsy will "save" the coin, but I do think it will bring volumes, the volumes that haven't been seen at mintpal and the other exchanges.

Nearly every coin out there has no real reason for demand anyways. No shops etc.
Only fancy logo, nice name, morale & confidence boosting dev, good marketing etc.

Now that we lost that initial momentum due to CT, it's VERY difficult to gain it back.
Only real way to get it back is BTC-e IMO. I doubt Cryptsy will make as good impact.

Bumface, have you got any info from CT on when they are coming back?

Im still a believer and Ive been holding my UTC. Is there anything you need from the community? Would be great to see it on BTC-E and Cryptsy.

Let's aim HIGH.

bumface, do you know how we can get on BTC-e? Will 5 BTC do it? Will 10 BTC do it?
If x amount of BTC is needed, maybe we can rally it up like what we did with MintPal.

I must say reinvesting that into ASICs is a smart move. I like that.

Edit: And for the love of god stop nagging him (Bumface) about Cryptsy, obviously he is working on it and is saying as much as he can, he probably has the most to loose on the success of this coin. Go and tweet to them (Cryptsy) for all your might instead, that seem to be the most effective way  Grin Cheesy

I paid 1,7 BTC to help UTC a little to get listed on Mintpal. It seem to be a very bad investment till now. But no problem, gambling belongs to it.

Pay again for get listed at BTC-E or Cryptsy Huh   Hell yes !  I would open my wallet directly again for helping... but honestly also for helping myself so i can hopefully sell my +100K of UTC for a good price... In the mean time i am holding for the long haul...

I wish Bumface answer your question about it seriously  Wink

So far my twitter army has been doing a good job on the tweets.  Also managed to increase fb likes by about 146 so will try to increase it by that much per day atleast.  And if anyone has any specific tweets that they would like me to get out there then please feel free to shoot me a msg and I'll have it tweeted.

Besides that I will try to make time today to design a utc flyer and should get a few posted up at a couple universities.  But if anyone has flyers that they'd also like to recommend for advertising then I'd be happy to look at them too.

You could also ask your tweeters to like this cryptsy request, and post something - we're way behind other coins in likes.

Bumface you never answered me. Why will they (Cryptsy) not add Ultracoin, although they know there is a ton of demand for it?

i dont work there, i dont know.

and you can forget about btc-e at this specific moment....there is not nearly enough demand or community size for btc-e. we are talking about the industry leader here....not about nannas apple pie shop

Ya the problem with doing the likes on cryptsyfreshdesk is that you have to sign up for an account in order to like and to vote.  I've been doing 2 votes and 2 likes per day but I'll try to see if I can up those numbers abit.

Now that's finally some clear information and a clear answer. Thank you Bumface.

So it is simple: for the upcoming (longer) period we have to forget BTC-E.
They will (probably) not add UTC on a short term.

So then only one important big exchange is left over to get UTC add on. Cryptsy !

But how far is UTC with that goal Huh

MCXNOW might be a option to. Max coin is the only coin on there with big volume but the do have a lot off users so so if I were them I would be interested in a high potential coin:UTC.
