Hi guys,

been mining other alts for a while and now back on utc. Getting 82 kh with I = 11 and 1170 clock on R9 280X. Is this in the ballpark of what I can expect after n-factor changes ? Seems very slow and I am worried if I should stop due to not generating enough coins to justify even the power.....

Cheers

Despite the fees increase to 3% on NITRO the number of miners has been overall stable as is hashrate currently.
I guess they should probably be thinking about raising it again. Or maybe they should advertise the fact that should the number of miners not decrease sufficiently by a given %age/day then would increase it by another % or so.

An alternative would also be to contact the first 10-15 miners of the pool who account for 20% of the total hashrate. Would be faster to setup a separate pool for them which would equilibrate chances for smaller players.

Well because of the orphans in other pools, 3% fee is still not close to making a difference. Mining in nitro is still more profitable so people don't leave.

If u've enough memory u can set --lookup-gap 2, should get u to around 130-150kh/s

Yes, fees somewhere between 20-30% should definitely make a difference, because that's more likely to be the actual orphan rate as far as I quickly saw through my transactions. This is becoming really really preoccupating...

Is there any way to get the MAC wallet without signing up for speedyshare?  Is this just a fuck you to Apple?  I had the mac wallet awhile back, just need it again.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/bb48gqh5ufwo3g3/Ultracoin-Qt.app.zip

Glad to see my dropbox finally coming in handy Smiley
Anyone know if there is a download limit on standard accounts? If there is I will need to upgrade it, don't use it for anything else, so am happy to leave it up indefinitely.

Well, here is the math to prove your correct.

In the last 24 hours at Leet:  91 orphans / 644 blocks found * 100% = 14.1%

I don't think it takes a rocket scientist to see that 3% is not going to make people move.

Meanwhile I lost about 20 ultracoins just yesterday, trying to do the right thing.  That's just one day of mining.

As you will see if you look too, there are many of us that are donating over at Leet, because we realize that Laterbreh can't run his servers for free.
