The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Cryptsy is nick named Cr@ptsy for a reason, notorious for losing coins and delays on deposits, chill, contact Cryptsy support and wait for them to reply clueless as usual.

Problem is on Cryptsy's end. I see all of those transactions in the blockchain and the one to Cryptsy has about 8000+ confirmations. So it was about 3 days old? My guess is the block explorer is using an out dated wallet and Cryptsy is delaying deposits for some reason.

This does not, in anyway appear to be a problem with the ultracoin wallet itself (all these hard-forks may be causing some confusion among the exchanges, pools and users, but that is another issue entirely). Your coins are "safe", but take it up with Cryptsy as to why the transactions are not showing up on their end.

Just for curiosity, how do one knows what nodes are implied in a fork? i mean by external means, it could be any node around, is there an easy way to find it?

MINTPAL WORKS ! - I can see withdraws that I made few days ago. They just updated their wallet.
Cryptsy perhaps didn't do that. You have to contact with cryptsy and give them a message that they have to update their wallet.

Yes Mintpal is working again, I just got my missing UTC and an Email from Mintpal stating that they did resolve the issues.

Thanx, I just checked and yes..thei appear. IT seems there are some outdate blockchain explorers out there.

Nevertheless, cryptsy o craptsy..is still screwing my coins. Mintpal as a matter of fact is now accepting my deposits!

Well..it seems we solved the issue! Great teamwork

Cheers you all!

Hey guys, I decided I would post some pictures of what I consider very very rough drafts of the cards I was planning on making for Ultracoin. These cards could be useful for handing out to friends and family, with personalized wallet information on them. You could even use an online wallet software to create a BIP38 or SSSS key on one, this way I won't have to know the password. The back of the card can have helpful links to different websites affiliated with Ultracoin. Of course, obviously I am not the best at graphic design, if their is someone that wants to hop in and be my assistant, I can offer free cards and some Ultracoin/Dollar compensation. The picture quality is actually pretty bad, and I didn't use High Res images for printing, but you can get a general idea of what can be done with these cards. They can also be great wallets as well if anyone wants to again help with the designs. The QR codes I are easy.

UTC seems dead Sad(((((

A coin will never die as long as there is a community and businesses that support it. Ultracoin is still very young and solutions need to be long term. Heck, just look at the USD. However, Ultracoin has only been around for 5 months. There is a lot of infrastructure to build and pioneering that needs to be done. Once we can create Ultracoins brand image and bring some innovation into the field, we will see the coin succeed. This is no easy process and requires the whole community, of course some will always be pulling more weight than others. We need people who are committed to the coin and who can create a culture around the coin. Price will dip, price will raise. However, I understand what price fluctuations mean when they are both positive and negative. I beleve a need for aggressive marketing and aggressive project undertaking is the next step as well as long term solutions such as game plug ins, market acceptance, and engaging marketing. Ultracoin is a beautiful thing, but we need to catch up to more successful Altcoins and then differentiate ourself as much as possible by creating the brand. If you haven't already, read my analysis of Ultracoin that I posted back a few pages here, I included some things that can be down to help Ultracoin succeed. Also if you would like help raise demand for Ultracoin, please e-mail some merchants and demand that they start accepting Ultracoin, you can find the link here: http://ultracointalk.org/index.php?topic=137.0

Another thing too, if you would normally buy something through Amazon or some other service, use pock.io or coinpayments.net. Start using the coin, it is a currency, and using it as such is the ultimate goal.

http://www.electrum-exe.org/stealth/

The Electrum standalone wallet is a great security innovation.  Never used it for EXE (and never will because EXE still looks pretty much dead despite lots of shiny features) but the ability to have a USB wallet (easy cold wallet) is notable for Electrum - and the seed feature is useful for paper wallet creation.

Note EXE though has just copied the Electrum wallet - no great dev feats here - cut n paste with tweaks. Its all open source.

UTC would do well to have a Electrum wallet.

I would certainly use it - its the standard for my BTC wallets

Note that MintPal lost 30% of all VRC (hacked) - they will roll back the blockchain apparently to try to recover.  This was a MintPal security weakness.  After all thats happened so far - not acceptable no matter how professionally they handle the cleanup.

Can you imagine the issues with wallet to wallet transactions this will cause?

this wont be helping price on this exchange at all

MintPal is likely history - Caput

Cryptsy is often known as Craptsy - but I have never had any serious issues, they have never lost any coins (to my knowledge) AND their support is actually fantastic!

Mintpal will not be considered a serious exchange by serious investors again.

Best advice is to get your MintPal UTC over to Cryptsy - If you want to sell.

I would not even go to MintPal to buy cheap there

I NEVER have any issues with Cryptsy - but a word of advice

NEVER send exchange to exchange - send exchange to your wallet - then send to next exchange (exchanges manually verify exchange/exchange transfers)

I have tested in/out of Cryptsy from my wallets many times over last 5 days - all working 100% and less than 2 mins for 6 confs

I would not even go to MintPal to buy cheap there

do not worry everybody, i have 100 BTC and i will buy 10,000,000 UTC at 0.00001

Put your buy order before its to late...

I tried sending coins to cryptsy today. They show in the deposits but confirmation counter stays at 0. Opened support ticket, waiting.

Exchanges have recovered from worse and Mintpal still has a lot of support, it's a great place for arbitrage. Cryptsy is fine, but their support often has issues dealing with problems like negative balance, they also tend to disable deposits/withdrawals/wallets without notifying people, they don't even bother mentioning it on their twitter feed. Not mention the lag, although that's less of a an issue lately. Have you tried sending UTC to Cryptsy in the past 12 hours or so? I'm curious if you had any success depositing UTC because my deposits have been stuck at 0 confirms for quite a while now as well.
