I've had nothing BUT issues out of Poloniex.

First support ticket I filed took 3 WEEKS (22 days to be picky) to get a reply that completely blew me off AND DID NOT EVEN ADDRESS THE ISSUE I FILED IT OVER - and the issue STILL had not been answered a month after I filed it, by which point I gave up on it and deleted it.

CONSTANT issues with crazy amounts of lag.

Way too many trades that don't go through BECAUSE of the damned lag issues

Then they decided to hang onto a BTC withdrawal for DAYS now after I clicked on the confirm link (it's still "awaiting approval) and they've not even bothered replying to my ticket over that issue for DAYS now.

The final straw was when their moderator "withasmile" decided to ban me, another user, and WATCHTOWER (one of their mods) in the same banhammer when I asked reasonably politely if they could look at my ticket about a "awaiting approval" issue and escalate it.

A 1 day ban for NO BLOODY REASON - and apparently it was just because that particular mod is A TOTAL BLOODY INCOMPETANT MORON - on top of the OTHER issues with that exchange have left me with ZERO TRUST in them.

Polo has lost me as a user forever over all of this BS, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND avoiding them to EVERYONE.

I dislike Bittrex, but they are infinitely better than Poloniex is at this point.

For that matter, BTC-E is a better exchange than Poloniex is at this point - and I HATE BTC-E.

Did you already tried to send them a ticket? Did their support already replied your ticket if you were sent it?
Nothing you can do on here, because the fastest way how to ask about your problem is through support ticket.
@san2ok, you are really lucky you got your bitcoins back after you have waited for 24 days, because the price of bitcoin has increased so high, especially for now Cheesy

Hi busoni and Poloniex

I have had a ticket open for 24 hours, now should be a pretty simple issue .  Please can you let me know the average ticket processing time?

Many Thanks

I have been waiting since May 16th for a GAME withdrawal on Mt. Polo

My withdrawal is time-sensitive.  They say withdrawals are approved within 72 hours.  That is a complete lie.

I've created a support ticket, I've emailed asking for an update.  There has been ZERO communication from them.  It's been 6 days and no response with withdrawal awaiting approval.

Again my withdrawal is time sensitive and I am experiencing financial harm because of this.  If this causes me financial harm great enough, I will take you to court in Delaware or wherever you are.

Don't rely on 3rd parties if you have time-sensitive liquidity requirements.  Polo is not your personal banker.

There are many many sites outside of the Cryptocurrency world that handle 40k users online and consider it a light or even a very light load.
Poloniex needs to put a LOT more effort into getting scaled up into a platform that can handle the load they have - they have been FAILING FOR MONTHS at that.

I hesitate to think how many users Amazon.com has online during Christmas Buying Season peaks - apparently some morons tried to DDoS Amazon once in November and Amazon had to check their logs to notice.

You are seriously expecting a new exchange for cutting-edge crypto, experiencing ("ZOMG FOUR MOONTHS!!11!") unprecedented volume and load, to handle it like E*trade or Charles Schwab's OptionsXpress?  Oh puh-leez.  Roll Eyes

Mange your unrealistic expectations.  This is crypto, not retail.  Poloniex is not Amazon or NASDAQ (yet  Wink).

Polo's explosive volume/load may continue for many more months.  Better get used to the growing pains.

If you can't, perhaps Polo just isn't for you.  Try https://bitsquare.io/ instead, it's decentralized!

POLONIEX is a bullshit service lately.. fake Txid's, failed withdrawals, fake 'ddos' excuses.. feels a lot like the pre Mt Gox collapse all over again.. the trollbox is full of complaints and all the mods do is ban the poor people complaining.

The worst thing about all their dodgy behaviour lately is when a coin peaks and no-one can trade (or close open positions) how does the coin value dive so severely while the site is still inactive? seems too suss to me.. and to make things worse you cant get any responses from support for the last week or two.

is this the beginning of the end of polo?
im glad i only have pennys there and keep most of my trading coins on real exchanges that have legit HQ addresses (yep look them up.. virtual office?? seems totally legit.. pfft.)

Although I am also really annoyed whenever that event happened, I can understand the value diving as the influence of other exchanger. As you, I believe, understand well, the price of one coin at bittrex can affect the price of said coin at polo. So, I figure that the price plummeting was because they dumped the coin hard on bittrex as the effect of polo's server breakdown.

I understand the risk of withdrawal delays.  But the delays have to be reasonable.  I've been waiting now for 7 days, that is an unreasonable amount of time.  Also they state withdrawals are processed with 24 hours and they email automated responses to support tickets saying withdrawals are taking up to 72 hours.

That is egregious.  They should not mislead and dupe customers.  They should clearly the risk of significant withdrawals delays taking "weeks" and customer service responses taking weeks.

If they were upfront and did not mislead me, I would not have initiated the withdrawal.  Now my coin is frozen and I'm on the hook for any price movements.  That is entirely their fault.  And there is no way to reach them.

This tells me everything I need to know about Mt Polo.  Keep acting like this and you're going to lose all your customers.  You think I'm going to deposit anything with you motherf@#kers again?

My hunch is that something terrible is going on at Mt Polo

They are legally based in Delaware, so there's still a way to get the law/courts involved if they decide they can defraud their customers without repercussions.  Send me my f@#king GAME withdrawal.

So you're going to hold up my GAME withdrawal for 8+ days until after the MobileGo ICO???  Are you punting with my coin?  Are you even holding my GAME still?  Or you planning to sell it hoping to buy it back after the ICO at a lower price and take away MY gain for yourself?  How come support hasn't contacted me in 5+ days?

And why do you advertise 24 hour withdrawals and 72 hour processing for withdrawal approvals?  Why do you not warn customers that you are experiencing very significant withdrawal delays?

Poloniex is acting like a fraudulent exchange and a fraudulent business.  You can bet I'm going to document all my incurred losses and missed gains and your reassurances of 72hr withdrawal processing times.  And if the loss is great enough, you can bet I will expend all my legal options to make myself whole.

This is how good people end up in jail.  Karpeles was also just trying to continue operating.

Polo has been around quite a bit longer than that "four months", and their unhandled growth issues go back longer than that as well.
They are NOT a "new exchange" by Crypto standards, and they are not a new site by Web standards in general.
I also find it interesting that Huobi and OKCoin were not having comparable issues back when they were a TON busier than Polo is now (at least on the exchange side, I can't speak to customer service on those two exchanges).

No, they're probably not as big on the value of the trading done on their exchange as E*Trade or Scottrade (Schwab is quite a bit smaller on volume than those 2) - but they probably deal with a comparable number of TRADES in a day and might deal with more users online at one time than even E*Trade does.

Even at THAT level, that's not all THAT big by website standards - but they've been VERY slow to get their infrastructure ramped up, and the issues have been getting WORSE not BETTER indicating they are not putting enough effort into DEALING with them.

And no, Poloniex is NOT for me - I gave up on them a couple weeks ago but it took me some time to get my farm pointed elsewhere, and then they decided to hold on to my last withdrawal for WAY TOO MANY DAYS (not nearly as bad as PayPal at THEIR worst, but starting to remind me of the reasons PayPal has had *2* class action lawsuits filed against it, one settled by consent decree the other currently in process (discovery phase last time I checked) but largely about the SAME issues that were supposed to get CHANGED in accordance with the consent decree and never did get fixed - like arbitrary no-reason "hang on to your money for months and never give an explanation" occurances in LARGE numbers).

I think everyone needs to check out poloniexscam.com, it is one of many new websites over the last few weeks outing the dodgy behaviours of poloniex and compiling info to assist the upcoming lawsuits.

Quote: This website (poloniex.com) is a fraud, designed to take as much of your BitCoin as possible. The disclaimer on their website is illegal, you can sue them, they at no point mention the website is run by computer software and manipulated by insider traders, which is illegal. If you or someone you know has been affected by this website, please contact us and we will post your comments on our website as soon as possible.

there is a large number of lawsuits being built over the last few weeks regarding their actions and the community has been donating a large sum to fund the fight against poloniex.

The disclaimer poloniex make you agree to is illegal under USA federal laws and this in itself is enough to bring polo into a world of hurt.
The most important thing to note is the lawyers currently involved are more interested in the long delays or complete lack of response from the polo support and the excessively unnecessary delays in withdrawal requests.. they have been hinting that these actions will  be the smoking gun in the case to prove their actions in the market are intentional

more undeniable facts here : https://steemit.com/bitcoin/@shaerox/poloniex-on-the-way-to-become-mt-gox-cryptsy

Be safe guys.. if this all goes bad it will hurt the crypto community in a big way, we need to stick together and out these exchanges and dodgy characters damaging the future of crypto.
