No comment? What would you say? More of this, or less? Donationworthy or rather not?  Tongue

Still trying to find my style here. I understand that the depiction of implied violence might piss a few people a tiny bit off. I hope it does not.

I'm in the same boat for a while :-(
I'm probably out of the boom business for a few moths... Going to be spending on manufacturing some new products and buying some beefy hardware... Won't have any guvpaper to spare for a long time... But I'm in at the second lowest point I've ever made buys, so I can't complain. I still got the bulk of my DRK holdings a $0.2 to $0.4. ;-) Still eyeballing that "DRK FTW" license plate.

I still like the fitness babes better, but there's nothing wrong with this either.

I've been out of touch for a few days, don't even have my wallet loaded up yet...

I can never just go to a titty bar and then come home. I end up waking up at some stripper's house a few states away wondering who all these people are and where the fuck my car is... Still getting my head together. Big shipments of material came in this morning. Rolled in at 5am, doorbell rang at 8am... Must. Find. Caffeine. Boobs are about the only thing I can understand right now, so it works out.

Why must you have only one genre? Run with this for a while. Needs more frames tho... Do some more fitness babes again later. Maybe some more endowed brunette motorboat footage at some point... Don't limit yourself!

You know I'll stick some DRK in your thong my man. :-p Don't sweat it, just might take me a while. When I know I'm about to get all messed up for a few days, I shut everything down and put it in cold storage. Don't trust my cognitive and/or motor skills well enough to mess with it right now... Bad Passwords have self-destruct triggers...

Hi Drkerz Smiley

My first post here.
As experienced creative director in graphic design agency and DRK miner/investor I think can help you guys to polish awesome GUI for new wallet.
Something that I saw at first sight and think isn't good is difference between arrows on upper banner (send and receive) which are horizontal, but in "recent transaction" they are up and down. I'm sure no one "computer guy" would make mistake what is all about, but potentially can confuse ordinary future users which we all target to use it. Simply I thing simplicity must override design sometimes and design should be much more consistent with similar direction and similar design arrows.
And one more thing please: "Actual balance" and "pending" is good to be easy compared and collected which mean they must be over/under with close decimal points and why now same font size only color difference.
If someone is interested of what I'm talkin about please mail me to discuss some other minor stuff about GUI or even concepts.

best regards!

I like the evolution of the design, it really gets better and better...

A few hard edges on some symbols seem a bit stingy still to me, but I like how small corrections have been applied over the last iterations. This will be beautiful when it's finished.

Minotaur and I just had a very long discussion about our wallet UI overhaul over the past couple hours. I've been watching this thread closely and listening to all of your opinions and feedback -- your ideas and opinions are very valuable to the dev team and we try to let every voice be heard. All of your suggestions have been taken into consideration, and we're moving out of the inception phase and getting into implementing the first prototype version of the new wallet.

It's impossible to please everyone, but we think the vast majority of users will be more than pleased with the end product. Darkcoin will soon have the sexiest crypto-wallet on the market, by far!  Smiley

Thanks for all your support and input!

Happy to say I have finally joined the masternode owners' club.

Just wondering, does constantly checking to see if your masternodes get paid help make them get paid faster?

DarkSend+

Over the last week or two, Darksend+ has made some significant advances. We’re happy to say that we’re closing in on a finished product.

We've opted to employ a strategy for Darksend+ that is slightly different than the one we outlined in our last update. This new strategy has several advantages, and we think it is a significant improvement over the previous iteration in terms of both privacy and efficiency. The Darkcoin client will now store pre-mixed, denominated Darkcoins in the user’s wallet, to be used instantly at any time the user desires. The mixing and denomination process is seamless, automatic, and requires no intervention on the part of the user. The 10 DRK limit previously in place with Darksend v1 will be permanently removed. With RC4, the amount that users can send via Darksend+ is limited only by the available balance in their wallet.

Here's how it works:

Every 10 blocks, user clients network-wide will send any unmixed, traceable Darkcoins in their possession through an anonymization phase. In this phase, Masternodes are used in chained succession to mix the coins they receive from the network and break them down into homogenous denominations. After being processed by a minimum of 2 Masternodes, the coins are either sent to the next Masternode in the chain or back to the user’s wallet at randomly generated change addresses.

Depending on the desired depth of security and privacy, users may select between 2 and 8 “hops” to successive Masternodes before their coins are sent back to the client. Hops are made every 10 blocks, so anonymization at a depth of 2 hops will take 10*2*2.5=50 minutes, 3 hops 10*3*2.5=75 minutes, and so on. The desired mixing depth can be selected in the client GUI.

At the end of the anonymization phase, the user’s coins are returned to their client at randomly generated change addresses. When the user wishes to make a transaction, the client forwards the intended amount from these anonymous change addresses directly to the intended receiver’s address. There is no direct involvement of of Masternodes in the final person-to-person transaction.

Proof of payment will work as it always has: a user can see the send transaction with the receiver’s address in their own wallet, and the blockchain will show that the receiver’s address received an input in the corresponding amount.

PLUS

...

Darkcoin suffers from a bad methodology to achieve anonymity and it's put everything into this one basket.

Sorry to hear you lost faith in the project. Also, sorry you're going to be getting out at a horrible time (right before I announce I have EVERYTHING figured out to make Darkcoin mainstream?).

Over the past couple of days, I've made huge leaps in the Darksend technology. In fact, RC4 will be the final solution to Darkcoin's anonymity. The client will automatically look at all of your funds and it will be able to tell which funds are not anonymized, if it finds non-anonymous outputs it will run them through a darksend with other clients. After that process, users can send without Darksend using the anonymous outputs for instant transactions without waiting for other nodes (with no upper limit on transaction sizes).

The other thing you're missing is that there is a reason I forked Bitcoin. Adoption for Darkcoin will be MUCH faster and easier for vendors, because all of the APIs are the same.

Expect more news in a few days. I have lots of work to do, but soon we can start testing all of this new functionality.

PLUS

Quick question : Is there any coin that hard/soft fork using specific time/date(not block height) ?
(except Darkcoin)

https://github.com/darkcoinproject/darkcoin/blob/master/src/main.h#L39-L40
Code:
#define START_MASTERNODE_PAYMENTS_TESTNET 1403568776 //Tue, 24 Jun 2014 00:12:56 GMT
#define START_MASTERNODE_PAYMENTS 1403728576 //Wed, 25 Jun 2014 20:36:16 GMT

"I have EVERYTHING figured out to make Darkcoin mainstream"

Evan이 말한 mainstream이 무엇을 말하는지는 여러분들도 아시겠지요 ?
