x11.ltc1btc.com and wafflepool have been mining drk separately for a while already, and they always had over 30-40% of the blocks, its x11.ltc1btc.com dumping 80g of chinese hashes onto wafflepool making it more obvious.

They actually made wafflepool less profitable for old miners

PoS in general is trash. I don't take any coins that use it seriously.

PoS is such a retarded concept. I will never invest long term in something so stupid.

On a positive note I did make $8000 from a .2btc investment on razorcoin. Pump and DUMP that shit right back into darkcoin Wink

can we pls have an announcement later on about this situation with wafflepool,
i'm still concerned how they reached 51.6% network hashpower that easily and
i wanna know if any foulplay has been noticed....
There are enough GPU rigs out there to make it 99% if they all showed up at once, one of the reasons why ASICs are a GOOD thing.

50% is a non-issue. It happened plenty of times in BTCs birth...

If you want to switch pools, switch to one of the pools that barely shows up on the graph... Mining DRK is not mining for profit anyway. It's futures mining, and the odds level out by the time December gets here, so, doesn't matter if they're only finding a block 4 times a week...

I'm sure the PoShit coins will try to leverage it with FUD/Trolls, but it's really not a big deal... Lacking PoW makes a shitcoin anyway.

I know about that 51% attack issue, but its not likely I think.

I have been observing waffle pool, their tactic actually works quite well, by jumping in and out of different coins with 20-40GH/s, they can grab a bunch of blocks quickly without raising the difficulty or network hash rate, and this hit and run, riding the difficulty wave tactic is more profitable than sticking with a single coin alone. But now with over 100G at same time, it will get network hash rate and difficulty up and noticed.

A few days ago, someone told me only 35BTC of darkcoin being mined per day, still small compare to volume on mintpal even if they are all sold.

This tactic doesn't work worth a shit with DGW3 re-targeting...

But it still makes the point that USB ASICs are a good idea. Even if you don't think that the guv will build a custom ASIC to sabotage DRK, there's still enough hashpower out there that if even 1% of the GPU mining community shifted to DRK, it'd bend the needle to 99.999%.

This was a very, very short-term spike. It didn't even budge the 24 hour chart:

And, the REASON it was a very, very short-term spike is: DGW3.

They jumped in, and then ran away cuz it instantly sucked for them.

Everything is foreshadowing, nothing is coincidence. It will happen at some point, maybe not today, but it will happen. thats why noblecoin is switching to PoS.
