Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

I agree, also the arrows don't really look 'right' to me. The rest of the wallet is gorgeous, very nice job it looks professional.

EDIT: I also vote option 1.

The green and red weren't there in the last set of samples, a lot of users suggested it would be a good idea to indicate debits and credits, but no worries changing that back to black and white is easy.

Thank you, the red and green for recent transactions was a suggestion we got a lot on the previous set of samples, but is obviously very easy to change.  Noted on the network symbol will look for something else.
Yeah, I know, but being with a blue background just clashes. Granted, this is just one opinion.
I agree, for option 4 it would look better in white, will change on that one.
The use of the -> and <- in conjunction with the + and - seems redundant... Just one large indicator is all that's needed. Also, I don't think they need to be colored red/green as long as there is a bigass +/- where the arrows currently are. The colors wouldn't mess with your design that way, and still be entirely functional.

I like 3 and 4 best.

Example:

Doesn't mess with the design, is very clear.

The darkened boxes need not be so. The text should simple be the same darkness as the minus sign (I altered only the top 2 and did the box on the bottom one to get the idea across).

Crude 5 minute edit, but you get what I'm saying. The font I sued for the + and - kinda sucks. Just giving the idea.

Used the older design image.

PM me an .xcf... ;-)

Not saying they have to be white, just maybe tone down the harshness of the greed and red. Nice work again man.

We do want it to be indicated, but it need not be done with green and red. The light/dark grey used previously is fine. It just needs to be +/- for the bigass indicator.

Yea no doubt, just something that's visually clear and simple. Whether done with a graphic or a color, or both, whatever works.

Title/OP still not updated so... BUMP! This is the latest news and the likely reason for the price rise.

Summary (check link for details):
-Details of RC4's main feature, Darksend+, have been finalized and released. Over 99% anonymous based on the percentage chance of being exposed by a bad actor.
-RC4 code nearly finished and entering testing in the next few days.
-Code review by Kristov Atlas will soon begin.

Option 1 on the wallet looks great. Would be nice to have option 4 as a skin though.

Arrow right means out? why?
Arrow up means in? why?
Those are confusing signs.
These are real money, lets use + and - like what a bank will use.

Super Mario Wallet... Side-scrolling video game mindset.

I concur. Grown-up symbols are needed. Then, we don't need the red/green anymore. Minuses darker shaded than Pluses.

I think the Red and Green are for Mario and Luigi...

Me I don't care I just want the ability to password protect the wallet and thus my transaction history. Can't have passersby spotting my frequent purchases at inflatable-nuns.com.

I was going to say "Aren't you in NZ?  I'd have expected inflatable-sheep.com!"

Then it occurred to me...plenty of real ones.  Undecided

I'm so sorry.

I vote option one and echo the sentiment of replacing the christmas brigade of arrows with a plus and minus sign.

Also can I suggest to cracfoo that his pool (xpool.ca)  switch and mine DRK with the X11 shift in case that we detected a problem with a pool reaching the 50%, and the X11 is mining other x11 Coin at this moment.
For the moment there is not so much MH there but if there is more, maybe that can help...

That's a damn good idea. is there a way to get a friendly multi-pool or three to automatically drop profit-switching and immediately switch to secure the DRK network in case a "hostile" multipool threatens to exceed 40-50%?

I can override which coin is being mined so if there is a possible threat such as this, someone can msg me.

Earn your own DRK coins by mining at the multipool. Not only that, you can earn DRK using your old ASIC hardware on SHA256 and SCRYPT coins!

DarkCoin by xpool - DRK Multipool

PROP reward system
DRK Payouts
Scrypt & SHA256 & X11 Algo's
DDoS Protected
High Performance Backend
Simple setup and usage
0% Fees while in BETA
To mine:

How does it work?

xpool offers 3 different sets of coins to mine. SHA256, Scrypt and X11. Each algorithm runs on a shift. Currently there is no set interval as there needs to be enough found and confirmed blocks to make trading worthwhile on the exchanges. We don't want to finish a shift only to find out, the exchanges are going to eat up the payout in fees or limit the withdraw with a large minimum. The confirmed coins are traded throughout the duration of the shift automatically to maximize the profits from exchanging them into DRK. Once enough confirmed blocked are accumulated, the shift is moved into "Trading" status while all the exchanged coins are calculated into DRK and then queued for payment. Once all the coins are confirmed as successfully traded and exchanged, the DRK payments are sent.

As the pool picks up more hashing speed and sufficient DRK can be picked up from the exchanges, the shifts will be set to a schedule and payouts more frequent and less worry about the exchanges. This is a growing phase so the more hash support the better.
If a DRK block is found, there's no exchanging or loss of fees as it can simply be moved into the X11 payout queue.

The advantage of the pool is that you can utilize your older ASIC equipment to earn you the more desired DarkCoin.
Cheers and Happy Hashing!

Donations welcome!

SHA256 again took the lion's share of DarkCoin on today's shift. We sent them 36.5377 DRK when the average hash rate was only 3.62TH/s. The hot coin on SHA has one day left of PoW, so Friday should be another highly profitable day for SHA256.

X11 came out with a decent 10.7698 DRK with an average of 280MH/s while SCRYPT with only 2.7098 DRK but had only 65MH/s for the shift.

Cheers & happy hashing!

SHA again takes the cake with 40.3320 DRK sent out to miners just now, beating out yesterday's shift. X11 had 5.6002 DRK while SCRYPT sent out 4.8987 DRK.

Cheers!

anyone knows how I fix this  ?

And any Idea why this happened Tongue

Check darkcoind is still running on your server, and check the 1000DRK are still where they should be.

edit: have you recently 'withdrawn' some MN earnings? There's a way to do this, and a way not to... in case it helps anyone else, the easiest way is to load up the MN wallet in the qt client, Settings > Options > Display tab > tick Display coin control features then under the Send tab click the Inputs button in the Coin Control Features box, expand the MN wallet address thingy and you can then tick the inputs you'd like to spend, and leave the 1000DRK lump sum alone.

My 1000drks are intact and when I do "./darkcoind getinfo" then the latest block shows up ... Is there some other command I should try ,

I did "./darkcoind start" but just received a error message code: -32601, "message" : "Method not found"   Huh
(maybe cuz its already running? I dont know)
you are talking about hot or local/remote one?
What this tells: darkcoind masternode list | grep ipofyourinstance Huh

EDIT ahhh wasn't so quick with my smartphone ;p

Thanks to splawik21 I got my MN back online, And I made a linux noob tutorial for fixing this over at darkcointalk if any of you would ever get unlisted

Hey Guys, based on all the feedback and on a long meeting with DRKLord I now have ready the revised samples of the wallet. At this point I think we have something that will truly distinguish Darkcoin from other crypto currencies and give the project the presentation it deserves. We have incorporated most of your suggestions and are close to something final, changes beyond this point will come from the development team and I believe they will choose the option we will implement first with the best interest of Darkcoin at heart.  Let us know what you think: https://darkcointalk.org/threads/enhanced-darkcoin-wallet-ui.1705/page-9

Nice work~!!

All of them are great~!

Personally, i vote OPTION 1 and option 4(with some white change~)  Grin

This is the best project in crypto----DarkCoin. Time will tell and don't blame you miss it.
