You can blah bitty blah all you want...the fact is when you see a pool has 50% or more it scares the fuck outta you, because you know I'm right.

Delay caused by something that looked a lot like it... ;-)

...the .gif, not the donut... :-p

a few hours ago wafflepool got 51.6% .. thats why i got so worried.
The pool obviously moved on to other cryptocoins by now.

Thats because suchpool was lucky in the past 2 hours, got 1/3-1/4 of the blocks in the past 2 hour with only 16G of hash...

x11.ltc1btc.com and wafflepool have been mining drk separately for a while already, and they always had over 30-40% of the blocks, its x11.ltc1btc.com dumping 80g of chinese hashes onto wafflepool making it more obvious.

They actually made wafflepool less profitable for old miners

Last Hour of Coin Mining

Not the fault of wafflepool.

ahh.. this clears things up for me. But its still a very unhealthy situation, having one pool with so much power / hashrate

I know about that 51% attack issue, but its not likely I think.

I have been observing waffle pool, their tactic actually works quite well, by jumping in and out of different coins with 20-40GH/s, they can grab a bunch of blocks quickly without raising the difficulty or network hash rate, and this hit and run, riding the difficulty wave tactic is more profitable than sticking with a single coin alone. But now with over 100G at same time, it will get network hash rate and difficulty up and noticed.

A few days ago, someone told me only 35BTC of darkcoin being mined per day, still small compare to volume on mintpal even if they are all sold.
This tactic doesn't work worth a shit with DGW3 re-targeting...

But it still makes the point that USB ASICs are a good idea. Even if you don't think that the guv will build a custom ASIC to sabotage DRK, there's still enough hashpower out there that if even 1% of the GPU mining community shifted to DRK, it'd bend the needle to 99.999%.

This was a very, very short-term spike. It didn't even budge the 24 hour chart:
http://conventionalstupidity.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/chart.png
And, the REASON it was a very, very short-term spike is: DGW3.

They jumped in, and then ran away cuz it instantly sucked for them.

I thought most of GPU miners already switched to X13-X15 because of the profitability and lower energy cost, is that the case or you are saying most GPU miner still on LTC? any info, link or data on that?

Godammit, does that mean everyone else has to suffer just because you choose to? Make better choices == don't worry about Office Politics.

Why are you surfing the web at work? Do you work for a company that specializes in researching Cryptocurrencies? Why are you wasting company time doing shit you shouldn't be doing, then bitching at everyone else about it?

You choose to be a slave, that's your choice. Don't push your bullshit on everyone else while breaking the rules of your slavery.

only 640GH/s on LTC now, and thats scrypt hash rate... will be much lower if converted to X11 hash rate...
