A coin made of piss could be pumped to 0.012 and have the same hash rate as of darkcoin right now.
And?
I am totally going to design an ice-cube tray shaped like a coin... For reasons.

Oh, and it'll be based on a guvpaper theme, cuz guvpaper is piss money...

donate the icon to Uro, they don't have one yet.

from mn,and this hash power. I can't believe ltc1btc.com is friendly to drk. They are doing bad shit now. They want to destroy drk for protecting ltc they hold. Guys, we need to do some thing now.

Smells like desperation to me.

I wonder how all those KNC Titan suckers feel about now?  Grin

The answer to possible 51% attacks is simple - incentivise p2pool somehow over regular pools. Wouldn't have to be by much - 18% MN service fee instead of 20% would probably do it.

Better yet, make p2pool mandatory. The only people who'd would lose out would be a few pool ops and we'd have the best hash distribution you could get. p2pool node ops could still make a percentage.  Smiley

Lets play the coinjoinsudoku game.  You will lose.

Guess we'll soon see, as the coinjoinsudoku author will review DRK source.

Yeah... but, why are they paying him in Darkcoins to do the review?
Because we are the DRK community. Would the Bitcoin community support development using Litecoin? No.

If the implied, but not stated question is "doesn't that risk contaminating Kristov Atlas's analysis, because he will then be incentivized to give a good review so that his holdings of 300 DRK will go up?" If that is the root of your question, I think Atlas's reputation is worth far more to him than the ~300 DRK he'll get for reviewing the code. That small amount could not possibly have a corrupting influence. If the amount were 100k DRK, then I think we risk a real problem. But 300 DRK hardly compensates him for his time. I think it's a red herring non-issue that you're raising.

as far as I know, x11.ltc1btc.com is just a pool mode most of chinese GPU miners looking to make a ROI... Yes, they were late paying the MNs, but its 20% of their profits in their mind, now they are paying with wafflepool now.
It sucks if you mine with them, wafflepool takes 2% cut, they take another cut and don't have to do any coin exchange work  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

I think they are not for or against darkcoin, their faith is in BTC or cash.

This.

But the trolls will still call it bribery. Whatever. They sold their DRK when they should have hodl. Cue Nelson Muntz.

Haters gonna troll. Trolls gonna hate.

Dell kinda sucks, but lots of dumbasses use them... This is a sign of mass adoption; when those that cater to the stupid see a reason to join the party.

Check darkcoind is still running on your server, and check the 1000DRK are still where they should be.

edit: have you recently 'withdrawn' some MN earnings? There's a way to do this, and a way not to... in case it helps anyone else, the easiest way is to load up the MN wallet in the qt client, Settings > Options > Display tab > tick Display coin control features then under the Send tab click the Inputs button in the Coin Control Features box, expand the MN wallet address thingy and you can then tick the inputs you'd like to spend, and leave the 1000DRK lump sum alone.

He's not being paid in the way you imply, and let me clearly state that he's receiving no funds from the Darkcoin team.  He mentioned that he has to manage his time based on what'll help pay the rent, and community members organized a donation drive completely of their own volition.

You pay a pen tester to tell you if there are flaws in your system.

They make money trying to break stuff. Then they tell you how to fix your stuff. It's normal.

All in one: ltc1btc.com sucks for their shortsighted.

+1 for the P2Pool incentives.

This is the best project in crypto----DarkCoin. Time will tell and don't blame you miss it.

I was thinking about how much money is needed to keep the same price, regarding to coins generated per day and did some little calc.

Bitcoin 616$ ~3600 per day  = 2.217.600 $ per day
Litecoin 8,32$ ~30.000 per day = 249.600$ per day
Darkcoin 5,89$ ~2880 per day = 16.963$ per day

I was flabbergasted when I saw these figures, am I doing it wrong Huh

I was a bit confused by your comma and decimal points notation, but I think its an interesting topic.
I think the money it needed to keep the same price came from the mining equipment and energy cost, I read it somewhere that the energy being used to mine bitcoin everyday can power the the whole country of Cambodia, so thats about the 2 Million dollars you are talking about to sustain the price of BTC.
With Darkcoin, I bet it cost the world more than $16963 per day to mine those coins, so the price should really go up more.

576 drks being paid to MNs every day, if there is 1000 MN (600 now), thats 0.576*365/1000 = 21% annualized interest rate.
If there is 2000 MN, thats still 10% interest rate..
Why sell your DRK at this cheap price?

My 1000drks are intact and when I do "./darkcoind getinfo" then the latest block shows up ... Is there some other command I should try ,

I did "./darkcoind start" but just received a error message code: -32601, "message" : "Method not found"   Huh
(maybe cuz its already running? I dont know)

So darkcoind is already running. What does ./darkcoind masternode list | grep 'your.MN.ip.address'  give you?
