Yep, have a node that earned 1 DRK in 22 days - folks here suggest this is a natural result of random distribution which I am afraid it is not.
Yep, I have studied probability & statistics so do not try that one on me.
If there is 45% chance of getting paid on any day, what is the probability of getting 1 positive result out of 22?   You tell me :-)
In a bigger scheme of things I do not mind but the distribution is far from random.

If I weren't so lazy, er, um, busy, I would have redone my masternode (see above) with a new ip etc to get rid of the bad luck, LOL.  What I'm trying to say is that you could just reset it to see if your luck changes.  Then again, sometimes I think that all the bad luck has passed and my node is due for some good luck??  

Like I said, that's why it's nice having 2 nodes because it is more likely to even out.

This argument was made a long time ago, and is the reason it hasn't been open sourced yet.

RC5/OpenSource is not the end of the line for DRK developments. Evan made it clear that this is V1.0, and he fully intends to do a lot more with 2.0. From this I glean that he intends to make the clonecoin market better, and then keep going with DRK after that.

If Darksend+ works the way I think it does then coinjoin sudoku is going to be like banging you head against a completely uniform brick wall. Timing analysis too becomes impossible.

Try to remember that what we're seeing now is DRK 1.0 in the making. Once Open Sourced, Evan said he'll be working on DRK v2.0...

Let me answer with a counter-question. Which of the following would you rather use and/or invest in?

1) the coin that that has produced innovation after innovation (e.g., x11, darksend, darksend+, enforcement, masternodes), has an existing strong community of backers (e.g., developers, testers, graphics designers, marketing experts), has the third most liquid market (behind only Bitcoin and Litecoin in trading volume), support from major exchanges including USD markets, and a slew of enhancements on the horizon actively being worked on (e.g., new wallet, new website), OR

2) one of ten indistinguishable clone coins with no history of innovation (other than copying from another coin), a nascent community, limited exchange support, and low trading volumes (i.e., illiquid markets)

Darkcoin has the early mover advantage. Clone coins will have a very hard time siphoning support away from Darkcoin. It has too many advantages, and a growing network that is difficult (though not impossible) to replicate. I would say the only chance a copy cat could have would be to start innovating faster than DRK, AND be lucky enough to have DRK stumble irrecoverably in some way.

x11.ltc1btc.com and wafflepool have been mining drk separately for a while already, and they always had over 30-40% of the blocks, its x11.ltc1btc.com dumping 80g of chinese hashes onto wafflepool making it more obvious.

They actually made wafflepool less profitable for old miners
