WTF?

Vitalik Buterin of etherium is working with Promotheus scammer? XC is already dead. Time to dump ether as well, i guess.

https://ounce.me/blog/the-current-state-scum-of-alt-coin-development/

Eh, read that whole thing. The (tiny) part about Vitalik seems like it could mean several different things.

Wait, is it even possible to sell back your etheriums? Cheesy

Oh dear, that's exactly what I was worried about.  I'm seriously worred these kids are going to get themselves in trouble with that IPO stuff.  They're so young and reckless, but I don't think they're out to scam.  However, a scammer can easily take over, just like moohla did with mintgox.

I already knew that by day 3, LOL.

It's definitely not off the table. Actually, it's been replaced with a multi-path routing algorithm. Instead of the one direction communication like the old way, this will support 2-way communication without revealing your IP.

https://darkcointalk.org/threads/open-source-announcement-and-future-plans.2528/

Hey Evan, if you're still reading the thread, I'm wondering if the ip obfuscation you are working on would or could be the foundation for a tor like network access?  Have you given that up, or have you only decided to concentrate on Darkcoin core issues until they're all flushed out?

It wouldn't be tor, it would be tor-like, in that it will be a gateway service that allows you to access the internet anonymously.  I don't see why Evan's plan for a two way communication system couldn't work for private internet access?  And if we could do it, why not?

TOR has been cracked, we need something new!

Do I need a separate VPS for every masternode I run or can I just get a really beefy one with multiple ip addresses? If this is possible, is there a guide for this somewhere?

IMHO the legalities around running an exit node and also the poor performance of the service if you don't have enough exit nodes is the killer issue.

As long as you have unique ip addresses there is no problem.  The easiest way I can think of is making a user account for each MN.  However, there may be a better way.  I know there was at least one guide on Darkcoin Talk to do this.

Where the heck is Chaeplin?  And why the heck do I worry about people when they step away for a few days, LOL.  Not like I don't do that!  But worry I do!

Yes you can run multiple masternodes on a suitable VPS.   I have run 15 on one before and know of people who have had up to 50 on one instance.

There is an AWS oriented guide to five one one on DCT. https://darkcointalk.org/threads/ec2-multiple-remote-nothing-mn-max-5.1660/

I haven't played around with the undocumented ability to have one cold wallet with multiple masternodes but that should make things a lot simpler.

Just out of curiosity, which instance were they using and how were they able to get 50 separate static IP's for only one instance?

Sorry for facetious reply

1)  A big one!
2)  They asked Amazon to increase their EIP limit for the region.

I'm not being cloak and dagger here, will PM you.  I just don't think it is good form to discuss masternode configs of a third party without them being involved in the conversation.

For the record, each EC2 instance has a max number of EIP that you can have per ENI.  If you have enough EIPs to spare, there is nothing to stop you running multiple ENIs.

For example an M3.2XL can handle 30 EIP per interface and there is nothing stopping you running 3 ENI therefore attaching 90 EIP to that instance if you know your way around network routing.  The biggest hurdle to overcome is asymmetric routing once you start enabling multiple ENIs.

Cost wise, Amazon charge for each EIP hour so in most use cases it is cheaper in terms of service fees to have loads of T2.micros where you get one IP for free.  Having said that, it all depends on how much value you put on your time having to update 90 masternodes individually using smaller instances or one instance with 90 masternodes.

Also, Bitfinex!

I'd raise a red flag with them. My balances were wrong. All of them. (I was in margin) Numbers were, how to put it, skewed, in their favor, of course. I wrote to everyone, with a precise calculation describing where the "error" lies.

Never got a reply. I decided to take a hit, sell with (stated, erroneous) loss and withdrew everything. If an account's balances could be fraudulent...

I'll be speaking at the Crypto Money Virtual expo, Dec 5-6! It's like crypto meets the sims, should be pretty cool. My talk is going to be entitled "Darkcoin, creating the perfect eCash" and will cover the masternode network, passive mixing and InstantX. It should be a great intro into Darkcoin for future use.
