Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release. Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5% Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1) = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

i do not think everyone is trader. there are too many people that does not know how to trade. average people does not trade weekly basis.
Does not matter how many people trade or dont trade, its enought for small percentage of traders to affect the price. In fact, random people barelly affect the price, is the few big players that do all manipulations.

Why is Counterparty sinking so fast ?
The only thing I've heard from them recently is that the two Counterparty founder developers that had joined the Medici project (Overstock's CEO Patrick Byrne project to "replace Wall Street") are no longer part of that project. Apparently Byrne wants Medici to work on all blockchain's not just on Conterparty/Bitcoin. Being associated with Byrne can only be good, so maybe not being associated with him any more could be interpreted as if there is a problem? I've never understood markets...

Because all the devs know how to do is steal other people's work? I was an original investor in the proof-of-burn and used to have a lot of respect for the Counterparty devs. But when you blatantly life someone else's work (Ethereum's), even if it is open-source, I lose a great deal of respect for you. They got a brief bump but then I think the market figured out that the only innovation they are able to do is copying and pasting, and reacted accordingly.

0.0081 wall growing slowly. otoh is that your new growing wall from magic: the gathering I think there are other whales basking in these waters now.... that fine to me if we raise about 0.001 every week.
A couple of days ago I moved the floor up to .0074 which is really just for chart visibility, but I've placed no other orders and neither bought nor sold any since my .00666 wall got nibbled a bit.

Totally agree. I stayed out of the pump for exactly that reason. I thought - "all the value's in 3rd party technologies; Etherium & Bitcoin". But why then does Paycoin have such a high market cap ? Lets review the top 10: Bitcoin - I can understand, great project Ripple - ok, grudgingly, it's not "crypto" but banks can use it Litecoin - historical reasons but still has high liquidity markets BitShares - I can understand, great project Paycoin - ? Dogecoin - I can understand - great project on the adoption side (although I wouldn't put my hard earned BTC into it) Stellar - don't know a thing about it, need to read thisMaidSafeCoin - I can understand - great project (not invested) NxT - I can understand - great project DRK - I can understand - great project 8 of those occupy absolutely unique territory. (Apart from possibly Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogue which are kind of a shared space). To me, Paycoin seems the only one that like.....w.t.f. is it doing there

It's artificially inflated and something like 90%+ of coins aren't in circulation but controlled by one entity. It's pure garbage. Look at the 2 stars next to it on coinmarketcap. Filtering by non-mineable and premined is the best way to look at it really.

I'd like to thank eduffield and the other developers for this critically important evolution in virtual currency. DarkCoin is what bitcoin should have been. Some might call it "Bitcoin 2.0" but would do better by saying: "DarkCoin is digital cash." - Child Harold - February 28, 2014 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=421615.msg5424980#msg5424980

Close to NXT folks! We've been behind them for a considerable time. I expect so serious trading considerations if we overtake and hold position. With IX in its final phase of testing, couldn't have come at a better time!! Also technical analysis seems to favor a bullish run for DRK it seems, so we really have something good going on right now.

Sort of. What we all should be celebrating is that this economic mechanism is working. I never thought it would. Way back last year I remember seeing the Darkcoin strategic roadmap for maintaining a minimal masternode population using a supply / demand formula where the coin valuation traded off against the masternode population. At the time I thought to myself "nice theory, but life is chaotic - good luck in making that work in practice. Setting up masternodes is a hassle and we'll be lucky if we get 100". Look now - we've got 2000. I really can't believe it. The formula's working. Only thing is - does the Darkcoin network still have any hashrate after all this masternode stuff ? A paultry 100 GH/s. 0.1% of Maza coin's hashrate. Should I be concerned about that ? It is a POW coin after all. At coin school I was taught that a high hashrate was good for security. EDIT: It's just been pointed out to me that I'm mixing apple's and pears with mining algo's. Sorry about that. Back to coin school for some revision for me

Maza coin is SHA 256, mined on ASICs. You can't compare it to Darkcoin - X11 mined on GPUs - and derive much of meaning from those numbers alone. And security relies on distribution, something Darkcoin's hashrate doesn't enjoy much of. It would actually cost you far more to rent 100 GH/s X11 per day (if you even could) than 100 TH/s SHA 256.
