- The launch was not perfect, nothing was hidden, Evan wanted a relaunch but the community said no.

As I understand it. what was proposed and voted on was not a relaunch but an airdrop. i.e. creating more coins out of thin air to give away.

But the vote was in fact rigged, by closing it early.

It looks like that happened because a few whales didn't like the idea, and, according to Evan (his words), "You can't change the rules in the middle of the game".

And, yet, the rules were changed in the middle of the game to cut supply, instead of increase it, boosting the share held by instaminers, instead of reducing it.

So it seems you can change the rules in the middle of the game, as long as you favor the right people.

Something stinks here. Big time.

Whoa! only 110 votes with 5% difference between yes and no and you decide to abort the vote and lock the thread before 24 hours and conclude that everyone decided not to airdrop?

 Roll Eyes

After I asked many investors that purchased $10-100k USD worth of Darkcoin came out of the woodwork and said that would rob them. You can't change the rules in the middle of the game. It's in the past and we're moving on.

Can you imagine buying $30000 worth of something and then the developers making it worth $15000 overnight to appease a small group of users?

So the community didn't vote, the big holders did (the ones that instamined with you)

Gotcha.  Wink

Nope, it was the community that voted.

You just said that you asked the investors, it's even quoted here.

Ah wait, you call "big investores" = community. Gotcha

I asked the community to vote and many of the investors came out of the woodwork (and replied saying what's above). Sorry, my original sentence was confusing.

Community vote for less than 24hrs with 45% for and 55% against, then you canceled the poll and got the thread locked, that's far from a community vote. And you keep admiting that the people that posted had the final word because they had alot invested in DRK.

LOL you just admitted that the "community" = big holders.

I am unclear with my maths,
if bitcoin has 5,998 active nodes in 87 countries
https://getaddr.bitnodes.io/dashboard/

and Dash has 2756 active nodes in 48 countries,
https://bitinfocharts.com/darkcoin/nodes-active/#other

and there are 38 countries with masternodes making a total of 3020.
http://178.254.18.153/~pub/Darkcoin/masternode_locations_stats.html

so do we count these together as 2756+3020 = 5776 active nodes?
If so, this means we almost have the same number of seed nodes as bitcoin already but in only half of the countries, and both have the weakness of virtually none in the Southern Hemisphere.

Dash is 27.3 times faster with syncing and updating than Bitcoin and 93.7 times faster than Monero. Bitcoin (v0.11.0) has a Tao ratio 11.2% faster than bitcoin (v0.10.0) release.
Dash (v.0.12.0.49) = Tao sync ratio = 0.15 seconds / hour of update || Dash (v.0.11.2.23) = Tao sync ratio = 0.24 seconds / hour of update. V12 versus V11 speedup = +36.5%
Bitcoin (v.0.11.0) = Tao sync ratio = 4.14 seconds / hour of update || Monero (v.0.41.1)  = Tao sync ratio = 14.2 seconds / hour of update

You are a disgrace to a fried i286 motherboard in a landfill. Have you no shame? Go write some code! Actions, not words!

You quote, but fail to quote in entirety of context. Very very low tactics.

.

why did you change the number of coins "in the middle of the game"?

what did the big investors say to that?

 Kiss

We didn't, it was going to have an infinite supply, 1M coins added forever. We added a 7% decline per year to the block rewards (starting next January).

Facts...

Several Bitcoin investors in BC(British Columbia)  including myself bought a 10's of thousands of DASH in those first few weeks. As part of a larger group of other investors,    we voted to not relaunch.   I, was a member  group of majority holders, as I've sold some over the last year. Many others have since bought in.   So what is your point? It's a dead horse smooth!  Dead... Done,  so you guys can now move on to something people can actually benefit from like breaking our anon code.

Where was the vote not to relaunch? All I see is a vote not to do an airdrop, which was ended early by Evan, when he said "You can't change the rules in the middle of the game"1

Everything you are doing is what a scam dev looks like.

Please stay on topic and reply as the subject of Dash, and comment on the substance of the matter, instead of resorting to the fallacy of

Person 1 is claiming Y.
Person 1 has a vested interest in Y being true.
Therefore, Y is false

For example, getting back to Dash here:

After a difficulty of 100, no matter what the blocks will return 15 DRK.

How much do the blocks return now and was that changed "in the middle of the game"?

It appears to me that it may have been. What do you think?

BTW, is "no matter what" similar to "definitely"?

What is amazing to think of through this absurd ongoing wave of trolling in this thread - and top marks to smooth the Monero dev - is that, again, actions speak louder than words.

Absolutely no-one to date has been scammed by Dash, Evan, or any big investor or known community member.

Dash has indeed been used for scams. Like any other form of currency/value. There was an early shared MN provider that skipped town at one point, a dodgy website called "Dash Something" and mimic'ing the newly released Dash logo and forum look, selling smartphones tv's mining gear etc promising the world in prices, one dude scammed through IRC trade offer... They all ran away with a few bucks under their belt.

.. but I've yet to see the "grand conspiracy" behind Dash. No one has ever come forth claiming being scammed. Scammed, how ?

90% of the team is DOX'es with perfectly validatable real life identities. Code is in github. Steady price for almost a year. Constant ongoing pioneer development. Foundation in place taking it's baby steps into the future. Constant growing community of sane individuals freely contributing to many non-coding initiatives. Kick-ass Testnet team. Good vibes, education and manners, are evident by a quick glide into www.dashtalk.org. A forum fully documenting the entire life and all aspects of Dash... a coin is but a year and a half old.

I mean, if this is a scam conspiracy, man! They should make a movie out of this!

What do you have to show for yourself?

What is amazing

What is amazing is that you claimed the community voted against a relaunch, yet we can find no evidence of this, only that a few whales, with Evan's cooperation, managed to put an early end to a vote on whether to do an air drop.

If there was a community vote on a relaunch, where is it?

By pointing out you are an obvious scammer Smooth, with your repeated (1000s of times) attacks on your competitors, and your shady workings with your own coins, it voids everything you are saying here as your motives are obvious.  I think that is on topic.

[mod note: edited out off-topic quote]

BTW, it's funny you want a mod to delete my post because pointing out that an attacker is just a scammer is 'off topic', you should practice what you preach:

People posting things you don't like goes with the territory. Get over it.

BTW too, don't bother starting an argument, i'm not going to get involved.  You seem to not have any self awareness, I bet 90% of people on BCT think you are a scammer, but you have the support of the whales on Poloniex to lock your price where they want, which gives you the free run to go around with your trash talk....seriously, you/Icebreaker should go and get some help.  To most people here, it's obvious why you are here and what you are like.

Sorry for replying to Smooth, but seriously, he is supposed to be a core dev of a competitor and he is here trashtalking everyday.  At least people need to point out that he has a ridiculously obvious conflict of interest and also is an extremely shady character when you put all his actions together and his aggressive, purile attacks and bullying of all his competitors.  This kind of behavior belongs in the gutter, and will destroy BCT eventually, it shouldn't be allowed to continue.

yeah its pretty clear what smooth is up to in this thread or in pretty much any anti-dash topic in the altcoin section.
I have never seen a developer sank so low as what i saw him post in some of those. Appalling behaviour of the
worst kind.
