why is a diamond more valuable then medicine. Why is an arsenal win over spurs more valuable to me then $100 but not a $1000.

The Mona Lisa is to me personally worth very little but to an art lover invaluable. It's rare,beautiful has historical emotional value which converts to financial value.  

Bitcoin has value because its relatively rare, innovative, has utility and has gained a reasonable amount of trust. Aurora coin has value because it has utility, somewhat rare, speculative value and sentimental value.  

What is the most important component for value creation. How would Nem be valuable to people.Sorry I am just daydreaming.

NEM would be valuable because people give it value.

It begs the question, why is anything valuable? The answer is that there is nothing intrinsically valuable about diamond, gold, silver or other precious metals. The idea of 'intrinsic value' is nonsense.

Which begs the question why people apart from us stakeholders give it value  . How do we make people fall in love with NEM? Doge was brilliant, it appealed to the better side of human nature. It started by being fun, making fun of the greed culture among miners and being generous. wow its really hard to think of ideas that are effective.  

Doge's momentum is based entirely on a joke which, like all jokes, will get old. People will get bored of it (I know I'm already sick of it). It's dead in the water as a legit cryptocurrency far as I'm concerned.

To make a cryptocurrency appealing it needs to be
(a) Easy to obtain and use with a friendly, supportive community.
(b) Offer innovative features that sets it apart and lifts it above the competition
(c) Able to be spent at certain places.

Part (c) is important. What the Bitcoin website and subreddit lack is a huge obvious list of where you can spend your Bitcoin. If NEM were to (eventually) make it really obvious where you can spend your NEM, then people will be more inclined to do so. I think it's important to get across that it is an actual currency and not an investment, or a tool to get rich.

So, just to clear things up (for me and others):

• Final contractual stakeholder list - sometime this month
• Final logo decision - sometime this month
• Alpha of client - sometime next month

Any more specific timeframes than these?

There will be a Development Contract Announcement this month. I am going to set it tentatively on March 29. The Development Contract Announcement will specify clear terms on core development team, development team, NEM community, respective expectation for each groups, development shares, current and future governance of reserve shares, development timelines, total NEM for each stake etc. After the announcement of the Development Contract, there will be a refund period. Anyone can get their money back if they wish to do so.

As I said in the past, the fund raising period  was more like a "call for participation" or if you take an investor's POV, the fee sent in is more like a reservation fee. As it is written in the disclaimer "No contractual promise is made to anyone" and it is indeed the case until the Development Contract Announcement.

The current estimates for the alpha version on testnet is in April and an official launch in May, but more specific time frames will be announced in the Development Contract Announcement. Official logo will only be needed before the official launch for the press release and promotions and the logo committee will take care of that.

On the administrative side, we are finalizing the refunding list after the public auditing, then we will invite more people in the waiting list to join. The final list will be ready before the Development Contract Announcement

Stakeholders can provide services for Nem. Of the top of  my head the only service I can think of is that I can scan their old negatives for Nems. But you get the idea, something that each individual stakeholder can offer.

NEM definitely needs to do something like that. I believe this will help add to the value of NEM. We can add a subdomain called "foundation" or "charity" to the ournem.com site.

2) Another way of getting profit for transactions - visualize Blockchain, and make it fun way : MMO tower-defence game(like Plants vs Zombies). Transactions are "monsters", and you can buy "towers(mining powers)" for NEM or other resources(see below). Each transaction have it's own "monster" type. Every 10 NEM = 1 health, so even if you have 1 small tower, you can get some for transactions.ALSO, the tower-defence game should have RATINGS(everybody should see how much another player gets.
3) Make few currencyes ON nem, that you should mine with game too (like this) http://ponga.ua/play/6752/mega-shaxtyor ; like 'gold' 'wood' 'iron' - to buy 'towers', passive mining powers - another MMO mining game.

I am not programmist, but planning to start time-depended currency based on NEM/NXT codes, idea is to make 'non-material' service currency for musicians, designers, developers, so people can buy other peoples time, or just to thank them with it.
I think the future of crypto is local/country-currency, looking way to make phrase 'time is money' the soul of project. If you find something usefull in this message, will be grateful for any suggestions how to make it =]

Non-material service is a good idea. There has been infostry.com but maybe not anymore. It had some points used as money. If nem is used in such service, it may be more productive.

I hope the nem team has more plans and experience than stakeholders have excitement.
