Hi all,

How are you doing? I need some support from fellow ethereum members.
I bought end 2014 some Ethereum during te pre sale period. I saved my ethereum backup json file and pasword on a usb stick.

After a long time not following ethereum, I saw on litebite it is almost 2.50 euro.

So I decided to import my json file through below site:
https://www.kraken.com/ether

I was suprised to see there is no ETH in my pre-sale wallet using kraken.com/eth. When I check the ETH balance, it does show that I have ETH on my ETH adres.

I am a bit confused and don't know how to transfer my pre sale  ETH from my json file into kraken.
If it is arrived on kraken, then i can leave it there for a short while.

Does anybody has the knowledge and the experience to guide me!

Thank you for you time and support!!

Best Regards,

Amsjef

I didn't buy ETH at the pre-sale but isn't there a private key in the json file that can be imported to the MIST wallet?

I think you should write in support of the Kraken, the window - https://www.kraken.com/ether - the right to be credited, the coins should have been credited.

Ethereum – A week of Turbulence
Ethereum has had a turbulent week as the price has shot up over the 0.006 BTC per Ether on strong volume pushing 35,000 BTC in a 24 hr period – twice. This has led to some quarters naming the price move as pump and dump, but is there something more fundamental taking place?

great forces at ETH, more than billion dollars of investment. let us arrive with power!

Ethereum has more potential than Uber, imagine a market cap of over 40 Billion US$...

Alphabet (Google) is the most valuable company in the world now. It is a software company. Ethereum is also software based.

Many false informations are being spread, especially about the final distribution which is very important in my opinion as nobody will invest in Ethereum if they think that final supply is unlimited.

Feel free to chip in:

How many real users and 2nd layer projects does ethereum have?

VButerin: "one of the best explanations of the benefits of ethereum I've seen in a while "
https://twitter.com/VitalikButerin/status/693605148711653376

Note that the mentioned projects there are all purely hypothetical, AFAICS. It would be good to have some measurable metrics on this.

There is some percentage of coins lost : difficult to mesure but real and significant.
Does the "gas" used for using the eth network is "destroyed" or redistributed ?

What do you think about developing a dapp service for desktop application protection ?

A replacement of "serial code"/activation .

Have your own crypto token! Tokens by themselves can be useful as value exchange on local communities, ways to keep track of worked hours or other loyalty programs.
Ethereum in practice part 1: how to build your own cryptocurrency without touching a line of code.

https://blog.ethereum.org/2015/12/03/how-to-build-your-own-cryptocurrency/

excellent blog from Alex Van de Sande, the lead designer on the Ethereum foundation.

Here is an example by two of the big boys ....https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1XOPIqyP7A  , IBM & Samsung live demo of ADEPT using Ethereum

Banks will be doing the same with their own currencies using the Ethereum platform.

Technically Bitcoin is a fork and Bitcoin Cash is the original blockchain. When the hard fork occurred, people had access to the same amount of coins on Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash.- NIST
