Is the demo going to come or is there no demo after all?
Well, one guy charged back his order so no demo for you! He had it refunded, from what I understand, not charged back. 2 different things. |

Well, one guy charged back his order so no demo for you! He had it refunded, from what I understand, not charged back. 2 different things. If i got flu, i can cough or have running nose. 2 different symptoms from 1 problem. |

well for ppl who got the refund, thats good for them. But what about others who do not participate in this thread? Only BFL can know. What you do know is people asked for and received refunds, most scammers don't hand back the money once they have it.... If you're not excited by the idea of being an early adopter 'now', then you should come back in three or four years and either tell us "Told you it'd never work!" or join what should, by then, be a much more stable and easier-to-use system.

been following this topic from the start and at this point I really don't have an opinion on whether its legit or otherwise, but if I were a legit company such as BF Labs is claiming to be, and had a product initially priced at $599, then posted a thread that blew up like this one did, I would certainly raise the price as well...

I just spoke to BFL and they agreed to demo the current development hardware/firmware tonight. However, I am otherwise already engaged tonight and they agreed to do the demo tomorrow afternoon.
Part of the agreement of me viewing the development hardware and software was that no hard numbers are released for this particular demo, although I will confirm what I actually see without providing exact numbers until they have a production version of the software available for release.
Not exactly what I know we all want to see, but at least they are willing to provide something. Having developed both hardware and software products in the past, I am inclined to be a little lenient with expected production issues to a moderate degree.
So anyway, I will report back what I see, just don't expect hard numbers for the demo tomorrow.

Agreed they should close the bets now. But it does go both ways. If inaba publishes its findings and announces the first units are being shipped, anyone can still bet a few 100 BTC against the statement diluting my bet completely even though I was one of the first to bet against it when odds where 4-1 of this being a scam.
If there is an official announcement and confirmations, we will close betting and cancel those large bets done after the announcement. Betting deadline is not strict.
