WIN A FREE BAG OF JERKY

From  now until Sunday June 30 at 11:59pm(mst)  All orders placed will be entered in a change to win a free bag of jerky.

Another way to be entered into the contest is by sharing our link on your Facebook page and post a link to your Facebook page showing you have link our page in here on this forum.

Thanks much for all your support. More great fun stuff coming your way from JaysJerky soon.

Jay, that's the third time you have posted this exact same advertisement here in the last 48 hours.

The majority of OctoCoiners who are jerky lovers probably know about your business. no need to spam Smiley

I agree.  It's great that you're taking orders in Octo and it's great to have you in the community but I only needed to see one of these ads.  Maybe the best place for advertising products that can be bought with Octo would be in a sub-thread of the reddit?

Thats a great idea....Thanks much,   I do apologize for my being a bit over zealous.

Jay

Not sure if you've noticed jay, but i did include you in my weekly article i write for OctoCoin. Should be plenty of publicity on that side too.
Consider making a post on /r/OctoCoin about the free jerky although I'm not sure if the redditors who follow OctoCoin have much 888.

Still worth a shot though Grin

Thanks for including JaysJerky in your article, I did indeed miss it, please share link to article , I would enjoy reading it.  I did go ahead and place a post on octocoinmarket place.  So no more jerky blast in here everyone  Smiley  Hope this helps

OctoCoinMarket was a subreddit project of mine much before i started the weekly articles. It never really took off.

Its a better idea to post to http://www.reddit.com/r/OctoCoin instead

I would like to have a KnC Titan, but can't really justify spending that much cash (or BTC) when I'm preparing to move my office out the house to a leased space. Plus we are finishing up the plans to start building a new house this Summer, so I'm sure my wife can find a use for that 10 grand or so somewhere... But mining at 1.1 Mh/s isn't too much fun, right now either.  Grin

I may hit the Murray pool again before they switch over to Scrypt: 2048 or find something with low diff that I can mine and make a few satoshi to buy more Octo. I did see some relatively inexpensive 5 chip gridseeds on eBay a couple of days ago, so I could always expand my micro-farm to a mini-farm.  Wink

Do you get any error when trying to send the coins? If so, what is error?

And yes, i found a bag.

Dev pay attention to this:

Problem with wallet was in regional settings in windows. My regional settings implies decimal separator as  ,(comma) thats why i couldn't send any amount of coins.
When i turned separator (in windows regional settings) to .(dot) transfer started to work. I think you should know about this bag.

Sincerely!

How recently did you download the wallet? It seems like you are still using the first "1.8 preview" wallet that was posted. Try the one in the OP or on the website. If this is an actual bug in the most recent version I haven't noticed. In any case, I believe they are working on a new update to the client anyway. Good stuff.

what do you guys think, how many people have more than > 100000, > 500000, > 1000000 octos?
any place to view such statistics?

I only know of one person with > 1,000,000. I'm getting close but not there yet. Hash rates have been high and steady almost the entire 3 1/2 months since launch so 888 is really spread around. Probably no accurate way to view an actual "rich list" as coins typically are spread among multiple addresses even if held in the same wallet.

I keep meaning to have a go at producing a rich list from a bitcoin-abe instance running against the octocoin blockchain but just never get the time.  But you're right, it's only representative when everybody keeps their coins all in one address. I have a nice amount split between a few addresses.

Since getting into Cryptocurrency I've had many bags, all but two have varied over time.  Those are the two I see in the mirror where my eyes once shone.
