as soon as we start comparing us with others we'll feel unlucky. applies to every part of life Wink
anyway, i was thinking about buying some btc with fiat to get some more octos.. since I'm only at 250k right now, but decided against... there's always a second chance... and playing games with the godmode-switch enabled was never much fun to me Smiley

The other two projects remain "shrouded in secrecy" for now.

Releasing a new Reddit tip bot and an (optional) wallet update, which may have some type of (beta) stealth address feature.

Many people are not familiar with Vertcoin Stealth Address (First in the world), maybe you're one of them  Wink

Vertcoin have a New Wallet with Stealth Address

Quote
At the moment, we’re working on stealth addresses in Vertcoin. Those of you have been around a while may remember, in the early days of VTC, there was some discussion over zerocoin implementation, and we made clear that anonymous/untraceable payments were not the direction we wanted to go with VTC – we are of the opinion that mainstream adoption won’t come from these features, and that they will actually damage the currencies that go down that route. The fact is, people don’t care about anonymity – if they did, they wouldn’t use social media etc.

However, we do believe in transactional privacy akin to what you expect from your legacy payment/banking systems, such that it’s not trivially easy for anyone to see your entire financial history.

Stealth addresses strike a good balance – all the transactions are still on the blockchain to be seen, but the link between an address and an individual is obfuscated. One thing that not many people seem to consider when talking about anonymity systems in cryptocurrencies is that true anonymous payments make all the blockchain tools you’re used to useless.

Stealth addresses increase privacy for a recipient by allowing you to publish a stealth address, which is like a seed which the sender then uses to generate a unique one-use Vertcoin address for the transaction. All the transactions remain public on the blockchain, but knowing the entire transactional history of your stealth address is now no-longer possible except for you, the holder of the secret key.

My resources about stealth addresses so far:

UPDATE

Joshycoin and I are still working on the Octocoin tees. We have submitted design files to our screen printer and will be getting quotes soon.

At this point the plan is to accept BTC, LTC and 888 as payments. We are not opposed to accepting other crypto or CC payments but will depend on demand for that.

Can't wait, definitely planning on ordering at least one!

What sizes will you be doing?

Since getting into Cryptocurrency I've had many bags, all but two have varied over time.  Those are the two I see in the mirror where my eyes once shone.

adult male size run (S-XL or maybe 2X) first to see what the demand is. i suppose if there's demand for women or kids sizes we can see what the cost is but i don't forsee that being the case based on the typical crypto user.

LOL, that's why I asked, I might have bought for the kids Tongue... don't do a kids run on that basis though! See how they go.

I suspect I'd need a 2X myself

While annoying as hell... at least bots can't vote on MintPal anymore. Well, unless they can solve 3 piece puzzles.

I noticed votes came crashing to a halt for everything except Octo as soon as they added CAPTCHA. Aiden was getting 20 votes/hour now they've gotten 5 votes in the last 5. If this actually stops the bots it will certainly work in our favor.

Attention Please

Ok, just so we can get a general idea of the first size run, we need to see what the demand is.

If you plan on purchasing Octocoin tee shirts when we release them, please inbox me the number of tees and what sizes you will need.

Once we have a general idea of what the demand is, we can work with the screen printer to determine what the first size run needs to be. This is not an official pre order but if you are interested this will help ensure we have enough of the select sizes to meet demand. Keep in mind this is for adult male sizes only. At this time we will not order women's or kids sizes.

There are a few of us large mammals out there...  Wink All of my children are now adults; unless one of their girlfriends comes up with a surprise, I won't be needing kid's sizes.  Grin

Aiden definitely recovered quickly after they were slammed hard. Knew there had to be bots involved, as there wasn't any BTC being spent on their votes. Now if MintPal will audit the past few days votes...
