The problem with Blades is that you have to use a pi controller (OK you can use a computer, but it's a pain in the ass). I have 2 pi's, #1 has 5 blades on it, it connected to the pool with no problems. #2 has 10 blades and it kept resetting when it connected to the pool. I used different workers, so I have no idea. For now I'm going to leave it where it's at and wait until I get back from vacation. I guess it wasn't easy as pi! I've been mining with cgminer 3.7.2 for gridseed from an old laptop (Win Vista) and haven't had any issues. I'm running a small orb farm, but the latest revision works for the blades, too. Have a couple of Pi's laying around that I intended to use for seeds, but they are working so well with the laptop, that I haven't gotten around to setting one up, yet. I have a new asic that should be here sometime this week (finally), so I either need to get a Pi ready or set up another old laptop to run it. Too many projects... not enough time. And my pesky clients keep hounding me to get their websites done, too.

I moved 30 Mh/s to Fedaykin's pool. 3 blades and the Hurricane X3!

I'm sure that they will. Regarding machine etched glasses, I should be able to spend most of tomorrow working on some more tests, been looking forwards to a chance to do so for what now seems like an eternity. Can't wait to see what Friday brings in many regards!

Happy 8/8 pals!
I too hope for the devs to deliver today.
Remember that setting your hopes too high is bound to leave you disappointed

Any news on the Fusionhash Scrypt N pool?
On the subject of which, is it common knowledge that FusionHash and Octocoin share an IP address? I knew they were closely related but not that cosy. Seems a little odd that both announced big plans and forthcoming releases and neither has delivered, at least so far. I don't think there's going to be any big announcement today, surely if there was going to be a big fanfare for 08/08 there would have been some marketing activity to whip up excitement in the days beforehand? I'm actually beginning to think that no news is good news because without news at least there's still a glimmer of hope. Whereas news, when it comes, may be a huge anti-climax and right now it doesn't look like the market can take that kind of blow and recover.

Since getting into Cryptocurrency I've had many bags, all but two have varied over time. Those are the two I see in the mirror where my eyes once shone.

I know that fusion hash offered to host murraycoin website which bholzer took up, so I take it its the same for octocoin

“A simple rule dictates my buying: Be fearful when others are greedy, and be greedy when others are fearful. And most certainly, fear is now widespread, gripping even seasoned investors. To be sure, investors are right to be wary of highly leveraged entities or businesses in weak competitive positions. But fears regarding the long-term prosperity of the nation’s many sound companies make no sense. These businesses will indeed suffer earnings hiccups, as they always have. But most major companies will be setting new profit records 5, 10 and 20 years from now.” -- Buffet

Anyway, fingers crossed I'll be proved wrong on the 08/08 thing in a few hours.

Fair point. I just think that the hope-o-meter needs topping up a bit with something tangible. For comparison, take a look at the SaffronCoin ANN thread. It may be comparing apples with oranges given that SFR has one full-time dev and Octo has 6 part time but the developer there has an incredible work rate and is rolling out all sorts of interesting features and ideas. I'd even go as far to say he seems to be creating a country coin for India from the ground up without any of the bullshit of airdrops. He's also active in the thread and posting regularly. EDIT: 2 or 3 of weeks ago it was hovering around 600-800 Satoshi's pretty much tracking Octo so on the plus side it shows what Octo CAN do with some positive news. It's not really in my own interest to vent my frustration with Octo though and I still want it to succeed and for all the faithful here to prosper so I'll STFU now

Being an Octo fan can be frustrating sometimes. We have seen this in the past where the dev has laid out time frames and missed them but they have always came through in the end. It's hard to not be anxious but I say be patient. They are planning on releasing some apps soon so that's a plus. I think we can get that momentum back. It happened in June/July when it hit a penny and that was based on Octohub and a few consistent dev updates. When people start to see some serious apps I think it will swing back up. If you think about it, it only needs to hit 10 cents to get a great return but the potential is there for way higher prices IMO.
Let's hope for a lucky 8/8 update but if not we will get them soon.
I've been so busy with my real job lately that I haven't had time to even get too anxious waiting for this. I am pumped thought just because an 8/8 update would be significant.
