Hi GekkoScience,
Why is my R606 always running at around 200MHZ??? Shouldn't it be at 550Mhz like the T and the command?
Also, Is there a special command to turn on ASIC boost?
What kind of machine are you running it on? Im going to guess and say a win10 machine?

yeah since using .exe file assuming it's a windows box.
Suggestion, try splitting them out. Run in one .bat file the newpac's and run a 2nd .bat file for the r606's. Also you are running the latest copy of the software? Just confirming.
Also what kind of PSU are you running and if you have this attached to a USB 2.0 port or 3.x related ports? As it's best to run on 2.0 is my understanding.

Also assuming you're using a Win10... try this: Maybe use two instances of cgminer... First, with all 5 of your miners connected, but not running, use the Command Prompt from the folder you are running cgminer from and type `cgminer -n' (No quotes, of course...) Look for: USB dev 31: Bus 1 Device 29 ID: 0403:6015 Manufacturer: `GekkoScience' Product: `R606 Bitcoin Miner' Your dev, Bus, and/or Device numbers will likely be different than mine above - the Bus and Device numbers are what you need. Create a separate batch file for your R606. Using my example, add the variable `--usb 1:29' (again - no quotes) to your batch file, remove references to NewPacs and then save it. I run my 606 batch first, then add (in your case), the four Newpacs in a separate batch - no references to R606. After all five are running, you should be able to (if needed), close down the R606 cgminer and restart it again with different settings and the four NewPacs still running... I still check the Bus and Device numbers, which shouldn't change - before I re-run the R606 batch, but hey, we're talking about WinDoze...so - best to check. My R606 runs in a separate cgminer instance. It runs through a GS Hub with NewPacs in it. They all run together to one of the two USB2 Ports I have... I have lots of Newpacs running thru GS Hubs that land on USB3 Ports at the Win10... No problems, here. I believe Asic Boost is now the default, but there is a special command to turn it off. Also - you're working the miners way too hard... Suggested difficulty for you should be: 550 * 6 * 0.228 * 5 = 3762 for the R606 (at 550) 200 * 4 * 0.228 * 5 = 912 for the four NewPacs (at 200) Those are terrible numbers, even for NewPacs at 200MHz - you should be hitting about 45.6 GH/s for each... Just that alone suggests an underpowered hub...What is your setup? Without knowing that, we're playing guessing games... Let us know what your equipment is and we can help you to get better performance. Most of us on this forum are quite willing to help... it's just easier if we know what setup you're using.

Just run 1 NewPac with a fan at 200 freq. Show us results for that.

I received a replacement R606 from @sidehack yesterday. It immediately started hashing away on my Ubuntu 18.04 LTS system along with the NewPac that has been running for several weeks. No changes to the build or settings. Many thanks to all who offered advice here, and especially @sidehack and @rockmoney who worked hard to get a replacement to me. Any suggestions on the difficulty setting or other parameters are welcome! It is a sweet-running mining machine! Here is the output of the R606 with the voltage level set to 4, and the frequency running at 550 MHz running for about 22 hours: cgminer version 4.11.1 - Started: [2019-05-25 21:34:40.673] --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- (5s):749.2G (1m):743.7G (5m):735.1G (15m):732.4G (avg):728.8Gh/s A:10236736 R:3762 HW:1724 WU:10181.5/m | ST: 2 SS: 0 NB: 116 LW: 11307018 Connected to btc.viabtc.com diff 3.76K with stratum as user Block: d3c38624... Ok with a few others showing the Raspberry Pi having decent results with the R606 and I originally was having a hard time with it, I decided to give it ago again for testing. At the time I originally tested the Pi, it was before VH's May 13th update to cgminer. So a lot of my original issues has been resolved with the latest updates in cgminer. I have also done a clean install of Linux on my FX-6300 box. I originally had all kinds of cpu miners, gpu based miners, tested cudo miner and other related apps on that Ubuntu box and believe something was possibly interfering with my system even though none of them were active when running cgminer. My cpu remained at 25% to 35% which just didn't feel right. So I've installed a fresh copy of Linux Mint - Mate 64bit edition as I wanted to try something different, and it's based on Ubuntu. After almost a nightmare of a time getting VNC to work on this box, finally got it up and running where I can remote into it and quite pleased with the results. First, the Raspberry Pi. Started with a fresh reload of Noobs. At 400Mhz on the Gekko Science Newpacs, they worked great. Same hash rates on both boxes. The r606 however kept downclocking on the Raspberry Pi. On volt setting 6 it would not hold at 725Mhz. It continued to drop till ~ 650 on my 2nd R606 and the original 1st one I bought it settled at 624Mhz. I have a screen shot where they were at ~650 for both of them. I thought they had settled however after a few more hours my 1st one dropped to 624. Here is the screen shot at ~650 https://ibb.co/m8mkWTD. Still overall, quite pleased and not bad. Especially since saving on power this route since the Raspberry Pi uses 5 watts of electricity compared to the 80 - 130 watts from the desktop (varied due to processes). Now since switching to Linux Mint, no issues getting the software loaded for the miners. Again the newpacs remained at 400Mhz and pulling the same hash rates as they did on the Pi. The r606 however, both units are staying at 725Mhz on volt 6. Screen shot: https://ibb.co/pdzX5tM. Also have bfgminer running on a separate session for the Moonlanders. Also so far, they have been running stable grouped all together in one script instead of breaking them down into two for the miners. All in all for the Raspberry Pi it seems you'll loose a small % of performance however on the back end you are saving on power usage.

When the list fills in a bit more I will use randomnumber.org to pick winner. If you are on list and win I need two things proof of purchase and an address to send the prize. I realized this prevents a false claim to a certain extent. If you win you do not go into next free raffle. There will be 7 maybe 8 raffles 1 stick to be given for each one. 1) DieselWeaseI 2) Irowland21093 3) Kingofhammers 4) mstrozier 5) gcanelson 6) 7) so anyone want to be placed on the list. I think I will draw on tues or weds. 5 in so far for 1 free compac. sidehack's older rarer usb stick The catch is you had to buy a r606 from A legit seller. if you are picked. You will need to show me proof you did buy it and of course give me an address to ship it to.

Good advice from gc. I'll run every stick in it's own batch file. Mostly cause i'm OCD and like to cater to each sticks "personality". Not too demanding on good decent computer, of course if you have a lot it makes it more cumbersome to manage.

Hi GekkoScience,
Why is my R606 always running at around 200MHZ??? Shouldn't it be at 550Mhz like the T and the command?
Also, Is there a special command to turn on ASIC boost?
AB will turn on if the pool and miner supports it. The plus sign indicates that AB is on ... BM1387:12+ ... You can turn it off with --gekko-noboost. If you are using windows, and are stuck sub 200MHz, you should try --gekko-lowboost or the noboost option. It has shown to helped out in most cases. Switching to Linux does even better. Or try out the latest build. (9e51f0b)

@vh Thanks! Your latest code has all three units running at 550 MHz whereas with the previous I could only see: 544/544/543 with voltage setting 4 on the R606 And, the ramp-up to 550 is much faster!

After a couple days of testing, I've found that Slushpool shows the most accurate stats for these Gekko miners. I noticed that the pool in the PDF instructions was ckpool, but it seems vague on the stats page, especially with these lower TH/s miners.
Is there something I'm missing?
don't know what testing you did. So I don't know. here I am on solo.ckpool http://solo.ckpool.org/users/1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje "hashrate1m": "1.23T", "hashrate5m": "1.17T", "hashrate1hr": "1.24T", "hashrate1d": "1.23T"
and the gui for cgminer reads 1.221t which is pretty close to the numbers above. note I have 3 newpacs set to freq 275 they do about 200gh I have 1 r606 set to freq 767.5 this does about 1025gh that adds to 1230gh or 1.23th which matches my 1 day read out. so I am pretty accurate using solo.ckpool.
