Now in near future we will face some good number of controversies like this because franchise cricket is going to grow in very quick way and this is good for players to have some good money from them as many boards are not able to provide any finances compare to these franchise in small boards, so hopefully we will have some better policy regarding this issue and all parties try to settle things in positive way right now any issue like this can create more problems for this game of cricket which is already having too many issues just because of personal ego's and political base.

Now we can't afford any controversy like this which create negative impact on this game and relationship between players and boards.

Muralitharan is a Sri Lankan citizen and he, along with his parents were born in Sri Lanka. Tamils are not fighting against the central government in Tamil Nadu (which is a part of India). There is an ongoing conflict in Sri Lanka, where the Jaffna and Eastern Tamils are fighting for the recognition of their religion and language. Muralitharan is an Estate (Central) Tamil and his group is not involved in any of these conflicts. Muralitharan on the other hand, worked a lot to build good relationship between the Sinhalese Buddhists and the Tamil Hindus.

I agree with you. The only relation of Muttiah Muralitharan with India is that he played his one-day international debut match against India. Other than that I don't find anything relatable with Muttiah Muralitharan and India. As far as I also know, he is a Sri Lankan citizen by birth. I have no idea from where the information was taken and I would really like to know about the source of the information.

As you said he is not picked up by any team in IPL 2022 then skipping national duty doesn't mean he is going to play IPL. AFAIK, players need NOC from board in order to play any league. I don't think this controversy has any truth in it.

Recently I was reading that he had never been good against India, so this is also acceptable because when he was on top in India we have some greatest batsmen those were great in playing spin, and they have great time with their technique at home which give them this disadvantage.

It is true that Shane Warne had a hard time playing against India, he made his debut against India and Ravi Shastri scored a double century in that match and he never had a great time playing against India. The next time he toured India, Sachin Tendulkar was in his prime form and it was a great battle and Sachin Tendulkar took Shane Warne and he won the series against Australia when they were literally defeating every other country.

Shane Warne was a great bowler but his stats are not great against India.

I don't think that the state is bad but considering that he was the greatest leg spin bowler ever and dominated almost every other batting team this certainly looks a little below par.
But in his defense, India has always been a great batting team who plays spin really great particularly.

BCB main complaint with Shakib is that he's not taking Test cricket seriously, mainly away series. Every time there is any away tour is schedule, Shakib pull out his name for various reason and its becoming a norm for him.

Shakib feels that board didn't treat him fairly, specially BCB's president and sometime it does look like that they are running character assassination campaign against him, not sure what's the real story.

So its clear that BCB and Shakib are not in good term and both parties have genuine grievances. From neutral point of view it looks like Shakib genuinely wants to retire from the Test cricket but Board is against it.

They never give him any clear idea if he can take part in full IPL season and when its not clear (which is necessary), then he attracts low bid (last year) or no bid at all (This year). Surely politics has big influence in BCB and just because of this they never have any proper set up even now after introduction of BPL they are having some good income and Government is also helping them for having some good set up which is worst for them and allowing players like Shakib to blackmail management on these occasions. Similar sort of situation was seen in BCCI and kohli recent row but BCCI take a bold decision and tool back all three format captaincy from Kohli. So now kohli will be a disciplined player. Same sort of decision must be taken by all boards if there is something related to discipline no matter how key a player is.
BCB keep compromising despite Shakib continuous discipline issues. That's why he never maintained his discipline.

IPL NEWS: Kolkata Knight Riders have signed Aaron Finch to replace Alex Hales. Although there were many hitting batsman in Martin Guptill and Dawid Malan. Martin Guptill, who is in better form than Finch, would have been a better choice, according to my understanding.

He get central contract in all three formats Apart from Shakib, the BCB continued with Mushfiqur Rahim, Litton Das, Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam for the all-formats contracts, just as they had in 2021
