Unfortunately Bumrah also was not spared today and went for 38runs . It was Stokes century and Samson 54 superb batting that build a good partnership and made it look easy chasing this huge score and won comfortably in the end by 8 wickets . From last couple of days match is swinging for the team which in start does not seems may win , but in the end result is different.

This edition of the IPL is getting more and more unpredictable. CSK performed in such a pathetic manner till now, and now they are going to win against RCB in such a convincing manner. RCB's hero of the last match (Mohammed Siraj) was thrashed around the park, while relatively unknown Ruturaj Gaikwad has scored a half-century for the CSK.

That's why I lost my many bets. Bet today on RCB and MI and both lost the match while MI was about to win tha match as the runs they scored were good enough to defend. They failed to take wickets. Except for MI and KKR, the surprise teams are Bangalore and Delhi competing for the 2nd and 3rd position. RR and Hyderabad are at the bottom.

So it will be some kind of record for Kieron Pollard to win 15 consecutive matches as a captain and they should have won the match if not for the performance by Ben Stokes and this is the first time he scored something meaningful for the team and the series is getting tougher and the every team is battling out to get a spot in the semifinals.

A great run chase in this IPL season's history against a best performing team. I didn't thought that RR have the ability to chase this huge target. But they did it. Stokes and Samson have made a great partnership.

Before the match i picked RR to win the match in the IPL fantasy but when MI went on to put 195 runs with some impressive power hitting by Hardik Pandya and i thought it is impossible for RR to chase this total but even though they lost the wickets they kept the run rate and then Ben Stokes just proved his worth and i am glad to see Sanju Samson staying till the end.

Rather than good batting from the RR players, it was poor bowling from the Mumbai Indians which shifted the momentum in favor of the former. They have great bowlers such as Bumrah and Boult. But the problem with them is that they are not consistent. Boult got 4 wickets in the previous match, and he was looking quite average in this one. And the lack of a quality spinner is hurting MI. They need someone like Chahal of RCB or Ashwin of DC.

I would agree with the last part of your post. There are players such as Kedar Jadhav, who are completely useless. If they don't have the necessary skills to face world class bowlers, then it is understandable. But the issue with Jadhav is that he doesn't even want to score runs and wastes a lot of deliveries during the final phase of the innings. I understand that he is one of the players with good relations with powerful people. But for the CSK, it may be better to give him the role of the fielding coach or the physio, rather than wasting a crucial slot in the playing XI.

It was a match between two teams of equal strength. Delhi Capitals prevailed in the end, because they had better depth-over bowlers in Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje. Also, Tewatia magic didn't worked for RR yesterday.

I have to disagree. How exactly are RR and DC similar in strength? Currently, DC and MI are equal in strength while RR should be compared to a team like KKR. DC is far better in literally every aspect.

Yesterday also RR needs very few runs and Tewatia is on the strike but he couldn't because he doesn't have much range of shots and that should be analysed when the player is in the ground itself if they want to make strategical wins.

Tewatia messed up yesterday along with other RR batsmen like Smith etc. Smith has been out of form recently while Kohli has retained his form which has affected both their teams in a big way. RR continue to lose while RCB continue to win.

I can't believe KKR couldn't arrive at that score. They didn't cover half of the score and lost all the wickets in starting.
RCB won by 82 runs; most likely, their players worked admirably, particularly Ab de Villers, who convey 73 scores in only 33 balls.
I was expecting Eoin Morgan and Andre Russell; however, the two of them fizzled. Anyways there are still a few matches left. I wish a good look to the Knight Riders.

He can do some fine job in both department, he's arguably one of the finest fielder in the world and if dare to say then only Jonty Rhodes come close to him.

CSK needs serious introspection and they need to take some tough decisions. Deadweight needs to be removed and I would be happy if they start with Kedar Jadhav. Irrespective of the experience and closeness to the top people, non-performing players needs to be kicked out and young blood needs to be brought in. I am not sure about Suresh Raina. It looks to me that the relationship between him and CSK management is permanently ruined. In that case, he may be moving to another franchise, and it is going to be a big loss for the CSK.

Yes, An excellent start from Punjab, very early strike put into the pressure KKR! There already a counterattack by KKR after losing 3 early wickets, run rate quite good at the moment. Morgan played a good captain role, Gill on the pitch right now. As must win match for both teams so we expected big total!
