You know at first it seemed like a nice come back for Chelsea when the goals started coming in but Real Madrid had other plans. The French man Karim Benzema wasn't going to give off his chances of proving that his capable of carrying the team on his shoulders to win the trophy from the English side and take it right over to the Spanish side. Chelsea did start on a hood foot though, getting that 3 goals ahead, knowing fully what was at stake and the fact that, that could make them win it but still Real Madrid had let them, that was some real beem of hope. I guess they got sloppy and K. Benzema is always snooping around.

It was overturned by the referee, the aggregate is still 3-3 now. But I believe Chelsea will win in the second leg and qualify for the semifinals. Real Madrid have really struggled to score so far even though they've had chances a few times, of course that's a problem for them. If Chelsea score the third goal then I really believe their chances of qualifying will be lost. It's been a great comeback from Chelsea. Looking forward to Chelsea's third goal now.

Indeed, Chelsea managed to achieve the third goal, but it was not enough to reach the semi-finals because Real Madrid managed to achieve the equalizing goal, and then Benzema was able to delight the fans by scoring the winning goal.

It wasnt that crazy for Chelsea and Real Madrid as Tuchel was determined on taking down the 2nd leg and yeah he did but if it wasnt for their bad result on the 1st leg then they would qualify.

Mendy, Lukaku, and Christainsen caused Chelsea's defect in the first leg, and Kante's lost pass caused it again in the second leg. Chelsea's players single-handedly gave Real Madrid a ticket to the semifinals.

That crazy Modric assist isn't talked about much; that was some crazy stuff right there.

As for Villarreal, it was insane to hold Munich on a 1-1 draw. They knew that they had to play defensively until Munich score then somehow turn the tide around as if they have nothing to lose on that game. One of the huge favourite to win the UCL is gone and its interesting to see which team would win in the end

Another English final is on the way, and perhaps Manchester City will finally add the UCL to their trophy cabinets for their efforts in the Champions League over the last five years.

I admit the fact that Chelsea have really played really well at home to Ream Madrid, they showed their class which is very quality and professional. Even I was very worried after Chelsea was able to score 3-0 and take the lead. They are amazing. I'm a little worried that Real Madrid won't be able to reply to that goal, especially since Chelsea are playing more aggressively and effectively.

What a day we had in the Champions League! Villarreal managed to make it to the semi finals by resisting Bayern Munich very nicely and drawing with them by 1-1.

I'm really surprised to know Bayern Munich was eliminated by Villareal. Bayern Munich dominated the match and made too many shot attempts, 23 shots but only 4 on target. They are decreasing the effectiveness in attacking, too many shots without accuracy. What's wrong with Bayern Munich? I suspect something bad happens there. On the other side, Villareal played very well and they didn't miss a chance to make a draw in Leg 2. They only have 1 shot on target, but they can convert it to be 1 goal. Even worse, they only dominated the ball position 32%. But I really appreciated Villareal, their effectiveness in attacking and solid defense, make them qualify for the semi-final round.

Real Madrid once again showed us that it is the king of qualifying matches.

The Real Madrid vs Chelsea match was much more interesting than the first leg, Chelsea really showed their best performance. To be able to score 3 goals
first is something extraordinary for Chelsea, Chelsea only need to last 15 minutes to qualify for the next round. But it seems that the winning mentality of

In extra time, Chelsea actually wins the match if the forward can shoot the ball right, but as I can see Havertz and Ziyac always miss and I believe if Lukaku is on in the squad, he will finish it with the winning. And, congrats to Madrid I can't believe they created a balanced goal in minute 80. Karim Benzema's goal in extra time made Chelsea's hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals just run down through a mistake made by Thomas Tuchel's defense, which was punished by Benzema through his header and made Chelsea have to bury their hopes for the semifinals, but the game displayed by both are quite interesting for us to see how the buying and selling of attacks carried out by the two teams made the match very interesting for us to enjoy, congratulations to real Madrid who made it through to the semifinals as a team with a winning mentality

I haven't witnessed an entertaining match between Chelsea and Real Madrid in a long time, and who would have predicted Chelsea to play as well as they did last night? It was a tremendous battle fought even if Chelsea lost to Real Madrid. Mendy didn't learn his lessons at Arena stadium and that's how they conceded to Real Madrid in their additional minutes. Benzema had his opportunities with Mendy and he made sure he exploited them at each possible moment, even if it wasn't scoring until that last moment heading that gave them an additional goal.

Chelsea really suprised me, I knew that they will give it all to Madrid, the early goal Madrid conceded weakens them, It seems Ancelotti has solved the puzzle of unlocking this Chelsea's defence. With what we have seen from the first and second leg, i think Chelsea are not so good at dealing with aerial balls in their 18 yard box. Four out of the five goals they conceded were aerial balls. But to execute this type of plan you need a very good crosser and a master finisher like Benzema who is good in the air and positioning.
