Do you understand that the world is not completely free from covid-19 yet. BCCI and any other board should not resume all the matches including the domestics ones. Resuming domestic games at this time will mean that all the players have to take covid-19 tests and there will be risk of getting infected. So why not keep domestic series on halt until the situation is back to normal.
Sporting activities have resumed all over the world. Apart from India, almost all the other countries are conducting domestic tournaments right now. One of the most popular T20 leagues, the BBL will start next week. When all the other boards can conduct cricket matches, why BCCI is having so much issue in doing the same? Even in India, the infection rates are declining.

If a cricket board or any sporting board has the finance to conduct the test and resume the games under a bubble they can resume that rather than holding back the matches and the careers as these players depend on matches to earn their living.

Economic activity has restarted around the world. Now medics are more informed about the COVID 19 pandemic, and it is easier to set up bio-secure bubbles. Even the BCCI was planning to conduct the IPL 2020 in India, before they decided to move it to the UAE (for saving tax). The salary of a domestic player in India is not that high. It is much lower than what the English players receive from county cricket. So lack of tournaments can push the domestic players to the edge.

What the heck are you talking about? How do you expect the BCCI to organize tournaments effectively when the world is struggling thanks to the pandemic? Very silly statement to be honest. The players had plenty of time to focus on their fitness thanks to Corona.
If they could organize an 8-team IPL tournament in UAE (which has one of the highest infection rates for COVID 19 in the world), then what prevented from organizing a few domestic matches in India? Almost every other cricket playing nation has restarted the domestic tournaments and India is probably the only one which hasn't done that yet. Obviously domestic cricket is a very low priority in India. Many countries are now hosting domestic matches. Domestic matches are also being held in Bangladesh, a country next to India. As far as I know, even though spectators are not allowed in the stadium, but the matches are being broadcast on their national TV channel. If Bangladesh can host a domestic match, why can't India? It seems to me that BCCI will not be able to make much money in the domestic game. So BCCI has no interest in organizing domestic games.

I have read in a thread here that the domestic players are earning around $500 per day or something like that in India and these players need to play the match to earn their living as they will not be having any other source of income and i hope that all the domestic sports starts inside a bubble rather than pushing the athlete to leave the sport and do something else to earn a living.

For a four-day domestic match, the players receive around ₹140,000 ($1900) as the match fee. For T20 and ODI matches, it is around one-fourth of this amount. In a normal domestic season, a regular player can expect to earn around ₹2,000,000 ($27,000), which is not a bad amount in India. But the problem is that in Indian domestic cricket there is no contract system. So the players will be unpaid, if there are no tournaments being conducted.

As a cricket lover, ICC should be included the present players to know the new persons who belong to different countries. They have included the retired players in the squad.

Don't want to complain much, but the ODI squad without Kane Williamson looks hollow for me. And the inclusion of Ravichandran Ashwin as the spinner for the test team is debatable. Despite his recent improvement, his performance outside the sub-continent is not up to the mark. And the complete absence of West Indian players for the ODI/Test squads is surprising. And I would have included Brendan Taylor in the ODI squad. Williamson is up against Virat and AB de Villiers, so hard to fit him at number 3rd and 4th. Putting him down the order is not justifiable as well. Brendan Taylor is WK-batter and Dhoni is already there so hard to argue. Ashwin away records are debatable but when it comes to home records no off-spinner comes close to him, guess that's the only reason he's there. Windies players are disappointing and not many players comes to my mind except Holder (Test) but you can only choose 1, Ben Stokes or Jason Holder.

Brendan Taylor may be the best player Zimbabwe produced in two decades, but unfortunately his record is not as impressive as that of MSD. And the absence of West Indian players really saddens me. They won the first two ODI world cups and once upon a time they were regarded as invincible in the test format. But it is a reality that West Indies no longer produce quality test players. Perhaps Shivnarine Chanderpaul was the last world class test player they produced.

Also there’s no Pointing, no Tendulkar in this team what is wrong with ICC how can they leave out such legends?.

ICC released the list of their winners of the decade and I agree with all of them. Check the link. https://www.icc-cricket.com/media-releases/1956755Kohli and Perry dominated by snatching several awards and they totally deserve them. I was especially impressed with Perry who is one of the few female Cricketers who is awesome in almost all departments. MSD winning the spirit award was epic too. ICC nailed the winners in my opinion.

Because he's not genuine batsman or bowler and can't compete with likes of Kohli, Smith, AB de Villers, Malinga, Starc etc. He's all-rounder and he got spot in Test and ODI squad, it big achievement for him. Requirement was min 5 years of cricket in current decade and Sachin, Ponting belongs to 2000s batch.

Cricket Australia takes good care of it's women's team, unlike other boards such as the BCCI and the PCB. There are a lot of talented female cricketers in India, but they never get the same amount of opportunities.

We all discussing about the awards got by the men cricketers. We need to take into conversation about the ICC Female Cricketers. Ellyse Perry making a clean sweep grabbing awards on the three categories is really a big achievement. ICC Cricketer of the Decade, ICC Women's ODI Player of the Decade and Women's T20I Player of the Decade.

Hardly anyone attend the women's matches in the subcontinent. In countries such as Australia, New Zealand and England, they have managed to build small but loyal fan armies for the women's national teams. And the WBBL has been the biggest push for the women's game, for the last two decades. It has grown in popularity, and has become even bigger than the women's world cup.

I mentioned Perry already in my earlier post. Everyone are aware of her brilliance in Women's Cricket and there is no denying that. She is easily one of the very few female Cricketers that I probably will never forget due to her skills and looks. I don't think this will ever change. The gap between both will always be huge just like other sports such as Soccer etc. However, interest is slowly rising thanks to domestic competitions.

The only thing surprise me in T-20 list is absence of Pakistani players. At least Babar seems much better choice in comparison of Aaron Finch when playing at no 3.

Ellyse Perry is a superstar in Australia and her debut at the age of 17 was a celebrated one because she played for the Australian national soccer team before entering cricket and she is a highly talented all round player and she was forced to select one sport and hence she choose cricket . I usually do not watch women's match but i usually watch the matches Australia woman is playing because of the level of standard they display especially T20.

The gap will always be there. You can never expect the women's games to have the same viewership as that of the men. However the recent viewership stats for the WBBL are very encouraging. That said, some of the boards (especially the CA and the ECB) are very supportive towards the women's game. And that the same time, boards such as BCCI have refused to offer much support.
