^^Its dead rubber game for fans except srilankan's fans but today India again experimenting with new set of combination. 5 debutants Sanju Samson, Nitish Rana, Rahul Chahar, Chetan Sakariya and K Gowtham, not much stake for India. On the other hand Sri lanka need to win at least one game and gain some points. In last game they lost some points due to slow over rate.

ODI matches are no longer dead rubber, as the points count towards ICC Men's Cricket World Cup Super League. For India, a win is needed today, if they want to target the no.1 position. For Sri Lanka, now it is do or die situation, as they are placed at the 12th spot (even below Netherlands and Ireland). Their chances of directly qualifying for the world cup look slim, but some hope will be alive if they get 10 points from today's game. It is really pathetic.... Sri Lanka has played 11 matches till now, and they have won just once.  

Indians are hosting and they are already in so it doesn't effect them much but yeah they would like to be in top 3. Sri Lanka does need a points tho and they way match is going they might get some today. Indians are collapsing.

India wanted to give everyone an opportunity for every player and even though they failed to win the match and even though they scored only 225 runs Sri Lanka struggled to win in the end as they kept on loosing wickets and considering the way in which India played in the series Sri Lanka is lucky that the first team is not touring them, if not we would have seen a one sided beating in all of the matches .

Shakib Al Hasan is still a force in the team and in the recent matches he made a 5 wicket haul and took the team to victory and then on another match he batted throughout the innings and took the team home and if not for that innings they would have lost the match and he is the best player in the team and it is not easy to find a replacement of his caliber.

Shakib to Bangladesh cricket is what Virat Kohli is for Indian cricket, and Steve Smith is for Australia. But how the boards deal with these players is diametrically different. Shakib is always involved in some dispute with the board and the BCB members seems to be having ego issues towards him. On the other hand, the BCCI treats Virat like he is the god. Even the coach bows down to him and the team selection is done as per his preferences. Smith is not in a position as worse as Shakib, but CA didn't supported him when he was banned for ball tampering allegations.

Just looking at the India and England team, how far ahead they are going as compare to other teams. Recently England also played and won again Pakistan with their Tier 2 team. They, India and England both have developed 2 teams each which can beat any international team. Aussies are losing the winning streak and the rest of the teams are worthless who only perform once in a while.
