I am not sure whether the other teams would agree to an Indian chairmanship of the ICC. This was one of the reasons why the Big 3 supported Barclay of New Zealand rather than putting up their own candidate. Also, Ganguly didn't had much of administrative experience before he became the BCCI president. Let him stay with BCCI for some more time, before he moves to the ICC.

In that case, I need to take back my words. A couple of years as the BCCI president would give him enough experience before he aims for the ICC post. However, he may face opposition from two completely different circles. First of all, the cartel of businessmen who currently control the ICC would oppose him to tooth and nail. And secondly, the test nations who are not part of the Big3+NZ cabal would oppose someone from the big 3 becoming the ICC chairman (unless they get written assurances).

Is anyone watching the match between Bangladesh and West Indies? Bangladesh is the host of the series. In today's match, Bangladesh decided to bowl after winning the toss. West Indies lost all their wickets by just 122 runs. Shakib bowled only 7.2 years for Bangladesh. He was able to take 4 wickets for 8 runs. Great bowling. Mustafiz and Hasan Mahmud took 3 and 2 wickets respectively. I hope Bangladesh will win today's match easily

Exceptional comeback to the international cricket by Shakib Al Hasan. He picked up 4 wickets after conceding just 8 runs in 7 overs. West Indies included 6 debutants in their squad and apart from Kyle Mayers, none of them performed well. With such an inexperienced squad, I am not expecting the West Indies to perform any miracles during this series.

Bangladesh was able to win with 6 wickets left (with 97 balls remaining). Tamim Iqbal played an innings of 44 runs. Shakib and Mushfiq scored 19 runs each. It was a very easy win for the Bangladesh team. The West Indies board sent a very inexperienced team. This team does not seem to be able to win a single match

Saurav Ganguly can win this spot without any serious problem but as JSRAW already mention he love to stay at BCCI because its much better place for him and after completing his tenure if he likes then he can manage this seat as well because he is good in leadership with very strong back up from his own board and few other boards as well for this spot about Sangakkara can stay in England for few spots like Michael Holding because he is also doing good here with different things.

I also think that Sourav Ganguly is not fully mentally ready to be the president of the ICC at the moment. He will serve as the President of BCCI for a few more years. Then maybe he will fight for the presidency of ICC. And if he wants to fight for the presidency, BCCI is ready to give him full support.

I would love to see Rahul Dravid as the coach of the Indian senior team rather than Damaadji. But then, he may not be willing to act as a rubber stamp and that may lead to confrontations with the star players. Maybe he should remain as the head of National Cricket Academy (NCA) for some more time. He is doing a really exceptional job with the NCA, by helping the emerging players.

Who watches Ranji trophy, even the national broadcaster is not broadcasting Ranji matches. All eyes are on IPL because it is the only domestic cricket that is given attention by the media. Ranji is still crucial but the problem is that it does not have the coverage.

This West Indies team is not experienced and due to board issues no big-name player is in the team. But yes, the score batting first in both matches has being less than 150 which is really a worry sign for them. Bangladesh played well as a team unit in bowling and as well as in batting and was a easy win for them. Want to see them batting first in 3rd match and see if they can cross 300 runs or not against this WI team. Not expecting any huge surprise from WI in 3rd match and mostly should be a whitewash.

IPL can have its own benefits and demerits. Younger players without international experience are getting opportunity to play along with the superstars (such as Virat Kohli, Steve Smith and Ben Stokes), and the last tournament helped a number of relatively unknown players such as Rahul Tewatia and Shivam Mavi. But at the same time, it made some of the younger players quite arrogant and in the long term, it may hurt their career prospects.
