Penalty again.... This happened so many times recently that I think developers need to refund some of the coins to us. It's not our mistake.
I support this, I was penalized with no idea why I got penalized and I lost a whole day of mining just to pay this penalty, I hope it will not happen again I'm closely monitoring my peers and my connection now to see to it that it will not go offline which I think never happen the last time. I have never experienced a penalty. I only heard that story from users of the Telegram IDENA group who said the penalty count depends on how long you are offline when your wallet is mining. I totally agree with this because it will really help me in being careful before doing anything and to prevent it from happening.

What does button "terminate" serve for in the wallet app?
It is used to terminate your Idena identity when you don't want to mine and solve puzzles any more but you want to keep your coins in main and stake wallet. It will "zombiefi" your account and you will be able to spend the stake part of your wallet. There is no other way for spending staked coins but to terminate.

And it looks like I am gonna get penalized again my wallet has been offline for 10 minutes no wand counting and I did not deactivate the mining yet and I thought, they already fix it, just before the start of my session I was having 10 to 20 peers but now all of it are offline.

Penalty system must be corrected... Time must increased, because 1 hour is too fast; there should be an official notification system, built into the wallet, and not a third-party script; at least three notifications before the penalty. Current system is uncomfortable and malfunctioning.

Right now I'm paying for my penalty again and I going to waste a day of mining to pay my penalty, and it's not even one hour I think it's more of an accumulation of wallets offline, so if you are out in front of your computer, be sure to off your mining if you cannot monitor your wallet, or you will be paying the price.

The Idena team should have made this a lot easier for miners to engage in mining the coin. The process so far is very rigorous and has stiff penalties for mistakes which results to a miner losing valuable time. Thank goodness I wasn't the only one observing this. Please the penalty time should be looked into and adjusted.

The mining penalty is fine but the amount should be adjusted every epoch, It should depends on the number of validated nodes. Since mining rewards become lesser every week. Also the time could be adjusted 1 hour is too much, I once experience having a power outage and im praying that power will resume soon because my mining is ON, 3-4 hours should be ok before penalizing the node.

I strongly agree with your opinion, the penalty time must be at least increased by at least 2 hours. For this warning system that is very important and very necessary, hopefully the dev team will immediately add these features because most people often forget.

I hope Andrew is reading this, I am only three weeks in this project and all these three weeks I always had a penalty, the penalty should prolong to at least 2 to 3 hours, you want to mine 12 hours daily but you cannot keep up sitting all these 12 hours, sometimes you have to go out or do other stuff and sometimes the connection is lost or the power went off, without you in front of your computer.

As you can see i didn't get even a single one during epoch 21-28 and 28-31. (epoch 19 and 20 was made because of windows updater that i shout down later on) Current situation have something to do with update that fixed peer connection and ... team is working on it. "We are investigating the node crashing issues. The new node version with more fixes will be released soon. Please follow the updates." I understand your anger with penalties but everyone is getting them... so there are more coins being burned, supply is getting down and no one is taking advantage in this situation. I hope you get my point. For now on i suggest you to try realRioda method. I've run my node like that. Let's see if tomorrow morning i'll wake up without penalty.

Why total mined sum differs so much on scan.idena.io website from one epoch to another?
Example: for epoch #0011 (10/08/19 - 10/12/19, 4 days) total mined is 363,101.98 DNA for epoch #0013 (10/16/19 - 10/20/19, 4 days) total mined is 247,992.00 DNA
Other epochs also differ significantly from each other. Why is that? I thought that this sum is easy to calculate for any epoch of 4 days: 51840 x 4 = 207,360.00 DNA.

it differs on the number of blocks mined during those epochs for epoch #0011 Block Mined - 30 256 for epoch #0013 Block Mined - 17 299 There could be 1 possible scenario, there are not enough node running/mining on epoch #0013 to move the blockchain faster like epoch #0011 i am not yet on that epoch so i don't know if an update was introduce to greatly reduce the emission after epoch #0011

Those users that selling their invite via telegram is just probably joking to troll those users that keep asking for an invite code every week. Someone even asking for 20 invites in one go because of the misconception that the invite code is the only requirements to start mining

What is easier? 1-Investing 3000$ in 1 antminer to mine bitcoin and hardly go on profit (or not)? 2-Investing 3000$ in 4x 1080TI to mine ETH and hardly go on profit (or not)? 3-Investing 3000$ in shitcoin to mine POS and loose 90% of money due to price fluctuation? 4-Download node and run it on 8$/month VPS or old PC and do validation each week I couldn't imagine easier option to start mining. I'm also not yet on Idena that time, there are a lot of complaints on Idena channel about wasted invitations one guy even go to the extent of selling his invitation code, so people who got the code will verify and it will not be wasted I don't think it's a good idea even if they promise that they will give back the money if they verified, why if the newbie fails the test, it's too early to monetize the code, we need more people coming in.

Someone even asking for 20 invites in one go because of the misconception that the invite code is the only requirements to start mining Out of my first 5 invitation only 1 succeed. It is really pain in the ass if someone takes invitation from you and inform you day after validation that he was too busy... You know why? Even now you can get up to 1700 coins per invitation if someone will validate 3 times in a row. 1700 coins is equal to 1700 DNA * 250 sat/DNA /100 000 000 * 9200 $/BTC = 39$ - that's how much one waste because of someone else's stupidity. That's why people are complaining

I was lucky to find this thread, because this coin is different from coins that are currently crowded. maybe this will be a new idea and will be followed by other developers. I have read and studied this, it will become very popular in the future

Yes, mining gets a new audience. Different from the classical nerd or investor. And I think it is one of the most climate friendly coins.

Peer number has been limited to 18 as I have read from other people experience... I see this as good thing, it limits the connections number, produces lower bandwith... less chance of node hanging in home grade router enviroment, and less vps monthly GB quote...
