Idena isn't a good platform for scammers because of everyone has one and unique account. A lot of people trying to sell invites in telegram, new users should be aware of them. It's easy to get an invite by joining their discord channel, just with prooving that you're able to make good flips.
There are just too few invites available. The invitation scarcity is a real problem.

I have been wondering how to do a proof of person concept. Really cool to see somebody finally did it. Was there any sort of premine or was this all fair game from the start?

It is not a problem. It is by design. It is not so hard to get invitation. Make some flips in Telegram and Discord and someone will send you one, if flip is good. If not, then make few more flips

I have one for you if you are committed. I have been wondering how to do a proof of person concept. Really cool to see somebody finally did it. Yes, if my memory serves like 36M coins were preminted.

There are just too few invites available. The invitation scarcity is a real problem. Join to discord channel, go for #flip-school, make some good flips and you'll get an invite from a verified user. It took 1 day to get an invite for me There are not invites in high ammounts, it's about creating a way to healthy network grow.

A guy named Railai started this selling thing and he thought that he can make people greed like him, glad that people are getting an invites, not only that they are getting help from people who wants to connect their wallet o VPS thanks to Andrew Idena and Rioda for all the help, we can make this a great and fair community, one account per miner.

Yes, if my memory serves like 36M coins were preminted. That's quite a few coins compared to the total supply, but considering there is some innovative new tech it's not so bad. I'll probably grab some and sit on it for awhile and play around with flips and such. At least this is an original idea and not a copy pasta coin.

Indeed is a big premine, but this should not be a big problem if the team/investors are not dumping the premine into the market. Is normal to have a budget of development, so you can pay expenses, developers and stuff. Otherwise who will work for free...

This is sad. I agree with a collateral being used so the ones who gets invited is more committed to make the validation/s but selling the invites I do not agree with. I also understand the frustration when someone waste your invite and you don't get nothing, and even I do not agree with selling the invites (because this is not ethical) I can understand the move and I don't judge. The good thing is that this community is awesome and you can find a lot of really nice guys, so getting a free invite is quite easy and you don't have to pay for it, for now.

Reminder to everyone that next Idena validation is in just 2 days. Don't wait last moment to create your flips or ask for invitation if you are new. There are 505 new candidates so far: https://idena.today/

It's very rare we can find an original idea like this, but expect copy paste coin in the future, once developers see the potential of this coin it's not yet that popular but always on top of this section, it's only a matter of time, this is one of the coins that we can call one person per machine coin.

One or two per machine As much as I like the idea many things need to be solved regarding bad flips and rating. I don't know if developers are thinking or doing something to fix this, but so far I did not see it.

On-topic: I agree that bad flips are a pain, especially in the Short session where you can't report them or think too much what the user wanted to say. What I don't like is the last minute updates, not tested and sometimes the client is buggy.

I just heard about the Idena project from the Indonesian group telegram, mining a coin with only a laptop and VPS, something that is cheap and effective to mine a coin. Are there any articles or video that explain in detail the stages in mining Idena Coin?

Actually you mine it with only the VPS (as a matter of saying) because is not real mining where computational power is involved. Idena mining is actually about running an Idena node, which is preferably to be run on a VPS due to the stability, and validating your identity once per cycle (the cycle last for 12 days now). Idena client is only use for validation, making flips, sending and receiving coins. Apart of this the client is most of the time turned off. There is not much to explain about "the mining", you just turn it on from the client (you have a button) and that's it. If you run the node on your PC you'll need to keep the client/PC on, if you run the client on VPS, you can turn off your client.

It seems simple to run Idena Node, but I don't know where to start to run Idena node, do you know the article that can be used as a reference to run Idena node?
