It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

yeah, the word for cash was, not the "decentralized payment system", apparently, but it is funny that SPT has "roots" that are are that deep.

Help
I have one SP20 I can't get online. I can access it over the IP, the box has neither light on, it simply says that the miner is offline, awaiting pool, rebooting, restarting, has no effect.
How can I trouble shoot this? the Asic page doesn't load properly Sad "The miner is not running or waiting for pool connection."

Any idea's, what do I do next.

my experience is not the same.
have an sp20 probleme.
it need to recover.
i can not get work sd recovery  ... get xmas lights but none good after poweroff - on
but it works ok with sd boot.
always same sdcard class 4.

I also have problems with sd on raspbian getting corrupted after 2 or 3 days, but same sdcard works solid rock with same raspberry and RISCOS for remote miners poweroff-on and it works excellent and stable.

It's always best to use a good quality class 10 SD card, but I've also had SD recovery failures with them & had to RMA it, so sometimes the controller board/BBB is to blame also  Wink

Yeah, I always use class 10 cards in my miners, but I only had a class 4 in hand when I tried. Guess I'll go out and get a class 10 to try again. What is the procedure exactly? Write the recovery image to SD, power the machine off, insert SD, power on, and wait? How long should it take? When I tried it (twice) all that was happening was that the green and yellow LEDs were blinking rapidly intermittently. I waited a good 6-7 minutes each time, then powered off and removed the SD card.

http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/blogs/technical-blog/13098521-sp10-sp2x-sp3x-recovery-sd-card-boot-sd-card-creation-instructions

 Smiley

Thanks for the link, PatMan. That's basically what I did with the class 4 card. Maybe I just didn't wait long enough since the lights never stopped blinking between yellow and green. I have to wait until they stop blinking, I imagine?

I'll go try again shortly using my phone's 64GB Sandisk Ultra SDXC.

Anyone care to comment on how/when this thread got lockaed, and no unlocked? Seems odd. I am guessing it was a mistake, and probably not by Spondoolies.

I unlocked it, I'm not sure how it got locked. Maybe I pressed the Lock while reading with my mobile by mistake.
