Aslo there are no news about compensation they promised 3 weeks ago. I, also cannot understand why there is such a big deal with announcing this important for us information. Do they have some sort of financial difficulties which make them so undecisive what kind of compensation package they shuld offer to us, so they postpone it as long as they can?
Compensation was promised for October so any news will be just news and nothing else. I think it's pretty obvious he wasn't expecting the compensation now rather... "What compensation package they should offer us" I also think they should announce this already the SP30 is preforming 20% under hashpower and for the vast majority of buyers they were already looking at a less than 20% ROI with the original specs. Without adequate compensation the SP30 is definitely a loosing bet... it will never ROI... Even if you got your GB SP30 today (probably wont show up at your house for another two weeks) and difficulty increased by only 15% it will mine about 8 bitcoins in it's usable life since it cost about 10 at the time of the GB, that's a loss of 20% (Not even including the power/hosting costs)... Now you see why the compensation is critical to this 'investment' paying off or not? That's why it would be good to have some news now... I'm sure it would put at ease all those GB customers that have now lost bitcoin on the SP30 venture (pretty much everyone).

searched but found nothing about underclocking the sp30. there was only a conversation about underclocking for running it on 110V circuits. so anybody have any information about underclocking and extending the sp30 lifetime in light of the giant difficulty increases?

So there will definitely be another difficulty rise before our SP30's ship :*(
No it won't! SP30 will ship next week. This. Also, spondoolies hasn´t been sitting idle and have been shipping and producing miners for most of August now. As stated, the groupbuy units were the most discounted as they are scheduled to ship last. Spondoolies has over 1000 units ordered for the 2 August batches, and producing them between 50-100 units a day takes time (- weekends etc.) what the hell do you mean scheduled to ship last !? I didn't see anything in the group buy info stating we would received our machines in September due to them being most discounted... So basically you are telling me now only will we receive 20% less hashing power than promised... we also receive our machines at the end of the line due to us all committing as a group to buy a large amount of boxes similar to what a large mining operation would order and thus get a bulk rate discount. The whole point of a GB is to allow the manufacturer to lock in their profits using economies of scale i.e. its more cost effective to produce 400 sp30s in a large batch than 1 here 2 there etc.: we save them money buy ordering in bulk and thus we get a group discount. What fine print are you reading I never read anything about us getting our machines last what the f is this all about ?

The actual number of paid GB machines were under 200. They won't ship last. We'll compensate for the missing hash-rate, as explained.
Edit: We're honoring the 250 machines price point although less than 200 were actually paid.

By scheduled to ship last I meant spondoolies is honoring the shipping qeue, however many units were ordered before the groupbuy even existed, e.g the farmers choice bundle. Obviously some units were also ordered after the GB, and they will of course ship after the groupbuy units. Sorry for miscommunicating here, I guess spondoolies has already clarified this. Also, how did you come up with September? All August units will be shipped in August.

I hope enough people see this. I won't praise SP-Tech for this because people trolls will say I am biased, but this should be remembered. No drama here..but just a note that on the group buy above.....the closed group buy page shows 386 units sold and less then 200 paid for according to Spondoolies...wow! https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=575499.0I did not realize that on such group buys (perhaps?) you can have such a drop in NOT paying etc.... Kinda shocked that almost 50% do not pay..IN FULL....maybe this is common just pointing it out.... Searing

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

searched but found nothing about underclocking the sp30. there was only a conversation about underclocking for running it on 110V circuits. so anybody have any information about underclocking and extending the sp30 lifetime in light of the giant difficulty increases?
Very easy. Set max-voltage to 0.675 in settings tab for top and bottom. UPD: If you want even lower, ssh to station, and edit /etc/mg_custom_mode to something like: FAN:60 VST:630 VSB:630 VMAX:640 AC_TOP:1300 AC_BOT:1300 DC_AMP:150 Enjoy.
