I strongly oppose this! Forging will never be profitable. Fighting over measley return is useless. nxt fee should be lower but people keep fighting for this 6 cent fee and that brings an average 0.1% yearly return. That's right, instead of lowering fee and making it better they wanna keep this "gigantic" 0.1% yearly return (i suggested we stop comparing ourselves to nxt yet i keep doing it, i apologize i know it's hard)
PoS forging isn't supposed to be profitable. It can't be! You forge to keep network secure and that's it. That's enough incentive. You forge to keep your coins valuable! Fighting for stupid 0.x or 0.0x% yearly return is stupid because it doesn't really make a difference unless it was more than 1% and if it were 1% nobody would use such currency due to being so expansive.
If we are cheaper in fees, more people will use qora and we'll have more tx. That will earn us more fee too. I think this fee is good and I see no reason to raise it. So far we've had 0 attacks so forging incentive is working. I think we'll need to decrease it in the future if price goes up.

This is my opinion. Let's keep Qora competitive and never become satisfied.
Also, regarding forging I think we shouldn't be below 2.5b coins forging. We are at ~18% right now and we should aim to never go below 25% so I'd like to ask everyone to forge. I contacted bter and poloniex not to stop forging since they have big stakes.

Coudn't agree more. Forging is the attracting feature for Qora network supporters. They can't do it with lowest profit.
Let's raise current fee from 1 to 10 coins. Now we have minimal transactions activity.

When closing I see the same warnings/errors appearing in the bat command window as before.
NO message saying "wallet closing" and command windows stays open showing Qora still active.
Also when I check data directory I see "data.dat.t" has not been merged into "data.dat.p" as it should do with a clean/correct shut down.
Since yesterday I have started and shut down Qora many times and still no clean shut down of program.
Looks like problem has gotten worse...

Please fix properly, because this is getting annoying, to say the least.

Why don't you quit complaining and start from scratch. Restore from seed with a freshly extracted files?

If that doesn't work upload your files for qora to investigate.

Use seed to reload your wallet.

I agree it could be great but why is Jean Luc so negative about it? we need to walk into it with eyes open  and cautiously at least.

I consider Qora and NEM to be backups for NXT.
If AT has a critical bug, it will be revealed and then when it's fixed, NXT can adopt AT as well.
The only problem is, Qora itself is still buggy because it's still alpha, if AT bugs are added on top of Qora's own bugs, it could be a nightmare for users and developers. I am not sure why CIYAM is in such a hurry to put AT on the live net. NXT is certainly not ready for AT yet, and AT is not ready for NXT yet.
