sait etienne continues bad football. after 17 matches in league 1, it is in the last place. in the last match, they played bad football against rennes. they anchored at the bottom of the league by conceding 5 goals. they have had a very bad performance this season. will they manage to hold on in league 1? i really wonder because for me they are a legendary team. i love green jerseys and their ardent supporters. my childhood was spent in the city of another team with the same colors. that's why i have an emotional attachment to saint etienne. i hope they hold on to league 1 this season. they don't have much of a chance against reims tonight. but i hope they win.

This is probably the worst season for St Etienne.
Apart from being stranded in the last position of Ligue 1, they are also the team that has conceded the most goals and now 37 goals have been scored against them during Ligue 1 this season.
Their performance did not improve and even tended to decline even more.
with results like this continue I really doubt they will be able to survive in the top caste of the French league and will be thrown into ligue 2

Should be a lot of goals in matches like these between these two teams. I would go honestly for over 2.5 goals between these two teams i would be afraid less . Because still expecting PSG to go beserk and win heavily against a big opponent. They did good in cl so expecting a good result for them in the league aswell

Ligue 1 can have the championship split in 2 and I think PSG would win both of them and this is not funny at all as Ligue 1 is still not attractive for a lot of people , even if Messi came to PSG,  but regarding PSG , none of the other teams can fight for UCL or Europe titles this year.

For me , it will be attractive until the end as I don't want to see Saint Etienne relegating as that would be super bad for them in the position they are right now.

Ligue 1 isnt attractive to people like for example premier league or laliga. Lots of teams are really bad and gigants such as Lyon or Marseille are really bad in last couple of years. Messi made a small impact on people to watch the league but only for a short time period

A lot of the criticism for Ligue 1 I believe is right but I'd still have no doubt its easily the 5th best league in Europe. Thierry Henry came from the Ligue 1, Zidane came from the Ligue 1. Nearly all the players that won the world cup in 2018 came from Ligue 1. The Ligue 1 creates probably the most superstars and then the premier league just buys them, leaving no space for English players to shine.

came from ligue 1 but most of them didn't stick around, some are in the Premier League, some in Spain etc,  only Mbappe comes to my mind thinking about a good French player that is playing in Ligue 1 and even him probably even stay as rumors keep favoring him moving to real madrid, Ligue 1 needs more teams to be at least close to PSG's level.

The reunion of the best player Monaco has, Mbappe. We hope he doesn't take the emotional for ex-club. Monaco is strong enough, they never got lost in the last 11 games. they also have a chance to make it draw like another game, but PSG so far is seeded 1/2 Voor. I'm not sure PSG will release to make it win, when I look, the different points are far, this showed PSG have control for ligue1 and definitely to be Champions.

Currently, St Etienne is the worst team into French League with the worst defense and very poor attack currently with their way of playing looking like they are going to be relegated as they have no signs of good play in last few games just half of this season is going to end, and they are 20th place mean they need some magical things for doing some better and improvement which need some good funds and better management.

In another match Brest ruined by Montpellier 0 - 4 which end their very good run of wins, but this defeat is worst after having too many wins in their pocket for last one month.

Out of 5 matches played, both the teams have won two matches each, one match has been drawn. Monaco may now be a bit behind in the points table but their gameplay is stable. They have not lost in the last 5 matches. They will fight for victory against PSG. Because their attacking lineup is good enough. They are able to score regularly.

Currently, no team is going to have some serious threat for PSG into French League as they already have 11 points lead from their opponents. Monaco was good in last season but in current season they are failure as they have very poor run and currently staying at 7th is also very poor from their standard their current form is good, and they can improve some more into coming days.

Today we have a match between Nantes vs Lenz after end of first half Lenz was leading by 0 - 2 but after start of second half home team done very good job and won this match with score of 3 - 2 with 3rd goal in injury time.

actually in the last 5 matches it can't be said to be good enough even though 2 wins and 3 draws were obtained, but indeed if they can win the match against psg of course this can be a turning point for the revival of monaco because they managed to beat the strongest competitor to get the title this season.
Their current choice is only a defensive strategy so as not to concede the ball and rely on a quick counter-attack by taking advantage of the carelessness of PSG players.

In this match, I actually hoped that Len would win the match because I bet on them and in the first half with a 2 goal advantage, I was actually proud because I could win my bet.

Many will argue that he should have let Messi take it, but i don't see any reason to. it is now getting shape? It already did weeks ago. There is a literally zero % chance that PSG is not going to win the season title. There just is no chance. The contenders aren't delivering on a weekly basis and even that would be the maximum need to do and would still have no chance probably. PSG is just a superpower that will win season after season. That is even worse than Bayern in Germany.

PSG have a really extraordinary dominance in the Ligue 1 now. They hosted Monaco today and obtained another victory in their home game by 2-0. I thought like maybe Monaco would cause them to stumble considering Monaco's recent good form. But it didn't happen. PSG players were so determined to win that they finished the job in the first half. Mbappe and Messi are the best for them now. Their incredible efforts help them move every obstacle they come across out of their way one by one. And it seems like they are going to be the Ligue 1 champions by dominating the season completely.
