Can't vividly recall the year, Jose Mourinho had a poor season with blues and Chelsea was found below European Competition position on the Premier League Table.

I'm still focused on Manchester United and Arsenal. Manchester United needs the signature of Amrabat done. Arsenal right now needs to get Jurim Timber replacement since he'll be out of the season. ( Saddens me he'll be off this way. )

I don't think the 18-year-old Lewis is a good fit as DeBruyne's replacement. De Bruyne is an experienced player and is one of Manchester city's most important players. An inexperienced youngster cannot be taken into the squad as his replacement. However Guardiola is looking to prioritize youth in his squad. Because of this, in future the retirement of senior players should not have a big impact on the team. guardiola is making a long-term plan. I think he will succeed. He is giving opportunities to young players to play alongside experienced players in the squad. However, manchester city's performance will be a bit slower without De bruyne in the squad. I say this because Gundogan, one of the most important players in Manchester city's midfield, has left the squad. Now, manchester City have needed De Bruyne badly this season.

Lewis is young but on several occasions from last season has shown that he can be very useful in the squad. His versatility and boldness to face challenges has earned him a spot in the first team even if now as a replacement for Kelvin De Bruyne  in Guardiola’s first eleven squad. This contract extension comes as a form of gratitude for his hard work and I really feel he deserves it.

Bernardo Silva is staying at Manchester City and he has reached a verbal agreement for a new contract with Manchester City. He will sign a contract extension until 2026 and it will make Manchester City's midfield as safe as last season. It seems that several clubs that were interested in him now have no more hope except to wait for Bernardo Silva to leave as a free agent in 2026 and at that time he will already be around 32 years old. So for any team will get the same opportunity to secure his services.  After the match against Sevilla today i won't say city are the clear favorites because if you noticed their was not much creativity and they didn't have much chance to deliver a fine pass to Halland and i think that's what Newcastle might Capitalize on, stop the pass from getting to the attacker and press forward with a counter attack, if you notice Manchester City left their backline open due to a high press and Newcastle has a current squad full of attackers with good speed and better goal scoring ability, if they make same mistakes from the back like they did in the 1st half against Sevilla then they'll concede some goals ór likely lose against Newcastle.

@Danny001 if I were you I won't bet on that, for the fact that Debryune won't be playing in their next game against Newcastle and also with how Aston villa were given a 5-1 humiliating win by Newcastle still doesn't give them a viable edge to win Manchester City this weekend. Guardiola is a seasoned manager that is unpredictable and always knows how to cover his lapses so much to confuse his opponent. Ask Ancelloti he would tell you he never saw Gundogan coming up with a goal in the just concluded UCL final against real madrid  previous season.
You may be focusing attention on Haaland while someone like Fodin is doing the job that's Guardiola for you.
