Tottenham were basically the favorites in this match, but things didn't go according to initial plan. Ange Postecoglou has to think of several strategies that can make Tottemham win this match, but as far as the first half goes, I don't think Ange Postecoglou can do much. Brighton closed the first half with a win, which was good for them.

Ange Postecoglou and his team have struggled to penetrate Brighton's defense so far, so that was one issue he had to think about in the second half. Meanwhile, in another match, Arsenal trailed West Ham 0-1 through Tomáš Souček's goal. The referee finally approved Tomáš Souček's goal after reviewing VAR.

A very interesting match today between Brighton vs Tottenham where Brighton was able to take the lead in the first half with a 2-0 lead. The match has entered the second half where Brighton played quite well in this match because they were able to build quite a neat attack that they carried out in the first half. I saw that in the first half Tottenham had difficulty in attacking because Brighton were able to stabilize their performance in defense so that Tottenham didn't have a good chance in the first half.

So, I think Tottenham will make the best use of the second half to reduce their deficit in today match. As for Son and Richarlison, They didn't play well enough in the first half and I hope they can play better to help the team avoid defeat in today match. But if Tottenham lose then they have given up the top 4 place to Manchester city.

Arsenal definitely knows if they want to be table till the end of the year they have to win this match but this does not mean West ham will be sleeping in the match. I guess we all can agree that Arsenal will win this match but I don't they will be topping the league for long, Liverpool more likely will be crown Epl champion, since City are far from their best and still continue to have injury woes

Arsenal's play is getting better right now. I'm not afraid of West Ham because I know Arsenal will do admirably against them. West Ham is a minor team from Arsenal's perspective, given their efforts and achieved the draw with Liverpool. When Arsenal plays West Ham today, they should be able to overtake Liverpool for the top standing. My prediction is that arsenal should score 2 goals so that we can get full three points make we able celebrate the new year with the first standing at the table.

I think Arsenal are favorites against West Ham. Arsenal will try to regain the top spot in the table in this match. It is also Arsenal's home match.

Arsenal are trying to dominate the match Arsenal players have 72% of the ball possession. They are also trying to create attacking opportunities. However, Arsenal have already conceded a goal. Today we see Tottenham fall again against Brighton. Even if they win against Everton, Tottenham will probably not win against Brighton. At the end of the 55th minute, the Brighton team is leading 2-0.

Looks like a surprise result for Tottenham game despite them playing away against Brighton Lately I am having difficulties to read what are they doing as Tottenham recovered in the last couple of games and now they are losing again.Brighton is not that convincing either as they have been quite volatile themselves but are now winning and playing well.

Arsenal also got down but I think they still have enough tine to turn things in their favor

Everyone seems to have to be prepared to lose money because Tottenham today, how not surprisingly Brighton managed to take a 2-0 lead over Tottenham within 23 minutes of the first half. Tottenham have not made many attempts to score goals, while Brighton has looked good since the match started. Tottenham's opportunity to turn things around remains, but so far Tottenham have failed to develop their game and find solutions to score goals.

The first half of the match was over, Brighton could lead with 2 goals. Sure, it seems many people to lose money because I also believe that most people prefer to bet for the win of Tottenham. We can understand them, Tottenham has a better squad and they are competing for UCL zone. However, it is a football match, it is not impossible for a surprise. We can see this match that Brighton seems more dominating the match although Tottenham is the favorite team to win. Tottenham even got 0 shot on target in the first half. I don't know what's happening with Son, Kulusevski, and Richarlison.  

Arsenal vs West Ham is a good match to watch too, it might be interesting if West Ham is able to keep up with Arsenal until the end of the match. If that happens, then Manchester City will really feel lucky because they have the opportunity to reduce the gap in points between the two to 1 point. Arsenal has a high probability of winning at home, but I hope this is not an easy match for them.

West Ham is leading with 1 goal now. It is very possible to see another surprise today. However, I still believe in the capability of Arteta and Arsenal players. I don't expect that Arsenal to lose points at a home match. They should score goals and win the match today. 3 points is important to keep the hope of winning the title this season.

I know that Arsenal could find it difficult to win against Westham because of the recent form of Westham in the Premier League. All hope is not lost for Arsenal, but if Arsenal fails to equalize Westham in the first half, it could be more difficult for Arsenal to beat Westham in the second half.

Very incredible night for Brighton as the club is leading Tottenham Hotspur with 2 goals just within the first 28 minutes into the game, although the match time is still good and if tottenham team are able to make any equalization but as it stands, their chances for such possibilities is very slim and Brighton won't be giving them that chance.
Many of the time, we have seen how such matches that start in this nature end up favouring the losing team innthe early minutes, because Brighton players may slack and believe the match is already in their favour,  but then until the 99 minutes are over, no one can declare a game as over.

I would say that I am surprised about Brighton's performance tonight against Tottenham. Although the match is still on and the both teams will soon head to have 15mins rest for the second half. Where my surprises lie is that, Brighton has just won 1 out of their last 5 matches while Totenham has won their last 3 consecutive matches. People were expecting Tottenham to consolidate on their winnings.

@Odusko, talking about Tottenham coming from behind to win Brighton, I don't think it is an easy task. It is Manchester city that does that easily and the one done by Manchester United last match. It is not something easy to do. One goal is understandable, but two is hard to equalise and win.

I am also surprised myself because this is a game I thought Tottenham Hotspur will win with ease but reverse has been the case here, currently Brighton are winning 2-0 with 58 minutes played already, I agree with you that going by the statistics of this match I don't think Tottenham will be able to get a comeback, is as if they are already demystified with the by this 2 goals against them, however if they can get a goal, it will try to build back the confidence of the Tottenham team and then they might fight for a draw.

It’s getting more difficult for Tottenham to equalize as Estupiñan for Brighton has managed to score another goal. With a beautiful strike from outside the box, he worked the keeper and scored an amazing goal.
The scoreline now rests at 3:0 in favor of Brighton.
Today isn’t Son nor Richarlison’s day as neither of them has been that useful to create chances for goals. Richarlison has had two attempts at goal only to be found offside. I bet that would have been really frustrating for the player. It’s the 68th minute now and Tottenham has yet to score a goal.

In the last five matches between Brighton and Totenham, Totenham won four out the five game played, then brighton won only one, thatsi to to say that going by the history available, Tottenham will win the host team,  when we look at the both team recent form we will find out that the away team is in more good form than home team, though anything is possible in football, Brighton will like to close the gap of the history but I don't think that Tottenham is going to give them that chance, the away team might utilise the lapses of the home to win this match, I see the visiting winning ecsues the have all it takes to win this match.

Tottenham have lost consistency and ever since then they have been dangling with no stop both Tottenham and Brighton started well but along the line they are both placed in the same position, Brighton is already raining down on  Tottenham with two goals the same Pedro that gave assit for the first goal scored the penalty for Brighton and sometimes record don't work when it comes to predictions, because it might just fail. See whats happening Tottenham won four out of five and Brighton one out of five and see who taking the lead now in the game, and Brighton is already leading so my is even if Tottenham will score it only be one goal and if Tottenham should scored then the game will change because one their is no much time so Brighton will play a defensive game with them. Because they are already at 62 minutes of play so nothing much to display. I know a lot of people would have gone for a straight win for Tottenham.

I knew already when they got 2 goals down that things maybe would get even worse because of that saying that says the sun can be spotted early in the morning and if you watched the first half you saw a completely disorganized Tottenham as those players like Son and Richarlison should normally create quite some goal scoring opportunities.

Brighton on the other side is on a good night and for now for Tottenham is game over as they look completely surrendered now and I doubt they have the power to come back to fight just for that honor goal,no they look tired and without ideas.

It's an overwhelming and a  shocking poor performance by Spurs tonight in that first half. It's high time the young players on the bench be giving a chance to prove capabilities and skills. The midfield and defense of Tottenham tonight is really lagging behind in this game getting out-runned  by the Brighton's players all of the time.  If it continues this way on the second half more goals will be conceded by Tottenham.

The second half of the game has kicked off and is already more than ten minutes played but the shoreline haven't still changed as Brighton are still leading by two goals to nil and are still even playing better.
Tottenham manager seems like he's not getting this one and probably doesn't know what to do at the moment to change the current scoreline. Considering the current performance of both teams in the game tonight, I wouldn't be surprised if Tottenham Hotspur concede more goals before the end the the game.

The two favorite teams to win the match are behind their opponents. Brighton really destroyed Tottenham's hopes today, Brighton even had a 3-0 lead at home. The match is not over yet, but Brighton can almost certainly win this match at home.

Arsenal is also 0-1 behind West Ham. Arsenal dominated this match with several good chances, but so far West Ham's defense has handled it well. West Ham did not attack or build attacks much, but West Ham was very dangerous when they were in their opponent's penalty area. Tottemhan was likely to lose after Brighton went 3-0 up, but Arsenal still had time to make lots of changes in the second half as long as West Ham didn't double their lead.

Arsenal - Westham match just begun and Arsenal is losing already, this is the reason why Arsenal have been finding it difficult to win the Premier League for a long time now like they will start well till a certain stage they will start flopping just imagine them conceding this early goal and they will be thinking of equalizing before even talking of winning which may be difficult for them because with the way the match is going i don't see Westham giving them that opportunity.

Regarding the incredible odds they gave for Arsenal and West Ham United and seeing the actual result, I am a bit perplexed. It is definitely nice to see gunners dropping points, eventually since only the first half passed, in order to see Manchester City equalising them since they have one missed game and they are 3 points behind.
It is true West Ham United are annoying a bit Arsenal but gunners missed few opportunities to score. I expect them to get the draw if Hammers will not add another goal.

In the other match, Tottenham Hotspur are humiliating themselves again apparently with only 15 minutes left on the game approximately and they are down with 4 goals to 0.. Epic fail Spurs

It's not that Tottenham lost, but it's really shocking that they conceded 4 goals. Brighton & Hove Albion are a good attacking team, they score goals in almost every match. It would have been normal for them to score 2-3 goals in this match, but they also scored the 4th.
What should Tottenham do from now on? Now they scored 2 goals but it's too late. They should have thought before playing so frivolously and conceding 4 goals. I expected it to be a difficult match for them, but they had a harder time than I expected.

Winning points become very important for Gunners as they're down by 1-0. Halftime and the scores is 1 nil. Good to see Westham leading in grand style against Gunners. We should give credits to Westham United players who have been serious all through the first halve and not giving any room for relenting efforts. Westham coach, David Moyes looking for three points at Emirate stadium, despite the heavy domination, they still have a way to scout out golden opportunities to net more goals in the second half. Westham United are not gigging because they would want the very best.

I think this is exactly how West Ham played against Manchester United and they got the results in that game as well. Arsenal seem to be doing too much in front of goal, the players are being too stylish when they should be taking the shot. Arsenal need to start talking their chances in the second half. West Ham will do everything to defend their one goal lead, David Moyes style is more defensive than attacking.

We really did not expect that Tottenham would be defeated like this although Tottenham is trying to catch up but it seems there is no time to do it, Tottenham has just scored 2 goals in 5 minutes in the 81st minute and 86 and now the match will end in 5 minutes really unlucky day for Tottenham. If Tottenham could do it since the first half might be a different situation at least they can equate the score. It's a shame that Tottenham had to end their winning streak in the previous 3 matches Tottenham should be able to compete with Manchester City and Aston Villa because they only need a few more points to get there especially Aston Villa has also just been defeated by Manchester United.
