I know that Arsenal could find it difficult to win against Westham because of the recent form of Westham in the Premier League.

The difficulty is because you have seen the score of this match now via the related application. Hopefully I'm wrong about that.

All hope is not lost for Arsenal, but if Arsenal fails to equalize Westham in the first half, it could be more difficult for Arsenal to beat Westham in the second half.

Arsenal's game in the first half was still very good compared to West Ham United. Arsenal's goal conceded through Souchek's goal cannot yet be the final decision if Arsenal will lose.
Indeed, in their last 2 meetings in the London derby, Arsenal had difficulty facing West Ham.

The match seems to be tough already because West Ham are already leading with 1 goal in 13 minutes, which was scored by Soucek. although this is just the start of the game as they are still yet to even reach the quarter-finals of the match, it seems to me that West Ham seems to be much stronger than I expected. Seriously, West Ham dominates these matches. I can’t really predict what will happen as everything can change, but seriously, West Ham are doing well already.

However, let's see if Arsenal are going to take advantage of being at home and win West Ham in the flowing minutes of the match. As you said earlier, they have a good statistic in playing at home against West Ham. I hope they will continue dominating and secure the point we need in the match because Liverpool have already taken their position from them in the standings; therefore, they should do all they can to get back there.
 

Arsenal is dominating the match with both ball possession, shorts on goals and are playing better than West Ham United, the early goal is great advantage to West Ham which they will like to defend, but if you see how Arsenal have been winning their matches this season, you will know that anything can happen because most Arsenal goals are coming in the second half. I am not given up because Arsenal in in control of the match and Arsenal will likely equalize and maybe win the match.

Arsenal - Westham match just begun and Arsenal is losing already, this is the reason why Arsenal have been finding it difficult to win the Premier League for a long time now like they will start well till a certain stage they will start flopping just imagine them conceding this early goal and they will be thinking of equalizing before even talking of winning which may be difficult for them because with the way the match is going i don't see Westham giving them that opportunity.

Regarding the incredible odds they gave for Arsenal and West Ham United and seeing the actual result, I am a bit perplexed. It is definitely nice to see gunners dropping points, eventually since only the first half passed, in order to see Manchester City equalising them since they have one missed game and they are 3 points behind.
It is true West Ham United are annoying a bit Arsenal but gunners missed few opportunities to score. I expect them to get the draw if Hammers will not add another goal.

In the other match, Tottenham Hotspur are humiliating themselves again apparently with only 15 minutes left on the game approximately and they are down with 4 goals to 0.. Epic fail Spurs

It's an overwhelming and a  shocking poor performance by Spurs tonight in that first half. It's high time the young players on the bench be giving a chance to prove capabilities and skills. The midfield and defense of Tottenham tonight is really lagging behind in this game getting out-runned  by the Brighton's players all of the time.  If it continues this way on the second half more goals will be conceded by Tottenham.

It's not that Tottenham lost, but it's really shocking that they conceded 4 goals. Brighton & Hove Albion are a good attacking team, they score goals in almost every match. It would have been normal for them to score 2-3 goals in this match, but they also scored the 4th.
What should Tottenham do from now on? Now they scored 2 goals but it's too late. They should have thought before playing so frivolously and conceding 4 goals. I expected it to be a difficult match for them, but they had a harder time than I expected.

Winning points become very important for Gunners as they're down by 1-0. Halftime and the scores is 1 nil. Good to see Westham leading in grand style against Gunners. We should give credits to Westham United players who have been serious all through the first halve and not giving any room for relenting efforts. Westham coach, David Moyes looking for three points at Emirate stadium, despite the heavy domination, they still have a way to scout out golden opportunities to net more goals in the second half. Westham United are not gigging because they would want the very best.

I think this is exactly how West Ham played against Manchester United and they got the results in that game as well. Arsenal seem to be doing too much in front of goal, the players are being too stylish when they should be taking the shot. Arsenal need to start talking their chances in the second half. West Ham will do everything to defend their one goal lead, David Moyes style is more defensive than attacking.

We really did not expect that Tottenham would be defeated like this although Tottenham is trying to catch up but it seems there is no time to do it, Tottenham has just scored 2 goals in 5 minutes in the 81st minute and 86 and now the match will end in 5 minutes really unlucky day for Tottenham. If Tottenham could do it since the first half might be a different situation at least they can equate the score. It's a shame that Tottenham had to end their winning streak in the previous 3 matches Tottenham should be able to compete with Manchester City and Aston Villa because they only need a few more points to get there especially Aston Villa has also just been defeated by Manchester United.

The VAR controversial moment should have not affected the game since it was an early situation in the match, Arsenal should have score equalizer before the end of the first half, but as it stands now, I think they will lose this match because scoring two goals will not easy within twenty minutes against West Ham. It is a London Derby, and Arsenal have been winning in this same venue for long, I think it is not bad if West Ham win today.

I think this is exactly how West Ham played against Manchester United and they got the results in that game as well. West ham United has just scored a second goal and going by your analogy of them being on the defensive side and trying to protect their defense, it will be very difficult for Arsenal to break in, this is 56 minutes of play, can Arsenal try to equalize these two goals and possible win this match, that I think will be near impossible because West ham have been pushing forward and it's more like their morale is being heightened up because of the second goal they've scored. If Arsenal could try and get a goal maybe it will also help them to put up a good fight before the end of the game.

This football thing is really shocking, how can Tottenham Hotspur a team that has been on fire lately be defeated by Brighton that have not been consistent this season with how they have performed in games. They conceeded four goals, lost the points and also the opportunity to be in fourth place ahead of Manchester City, just like Arsenal are loosing currently to West Ham. Maybe the players in these clubs (Tottenham and Arsenal) are already with their families for the new year in their hearts, and did not give the game all they could.

If there is something I expected from this fixture between Brighton & Spurs are goals because its goals galore when the festive season is here and both teams have been playful of late and fortunately both teams delivered in a 6 goal thriller..

Btw I didn't think Brighton had it in them to beat Tottenham especially since their form is inconsistent of late and credit to the bookies for leaning towards the Seagulls to be favourites.. which is well deserved!

The game between Brighton and Tottenham Hotspur is over and contrary to my earlier prediction, Tottenham Hotspur were thrashed tonight despite having back some of their first team players that were earlier injured. Joao Pedro was Tottenham Hotspur's biggest threat of the night as he converted two penalties in the game.
Brighton will be very happy with the result and would definitely want to build their confidence from there as we are still in the very busy schedule time of the English Premier League clubs. With the result, I think it'll be very difficult did Tottenham to come back to the top four of the league table

Arsenal definitely knows if they want to be table till the end of the year they have to win this match but this does not mean West ham will be sleeping in the match. I guess we all can agree that Arsenal will win this match but I don't they will be topping the league for long, Liverpool more likely will be crown Epl champion, since City are far from their best and still continue to have injury woes

Arsenal's play is getting better right now. I'm not afraid of West Ham because I know Arsenal will do admirably against them. West Ham is a minor team from Arsenal's perspective, given their efforts and achieved the draw with Liverpool. When Arsenal plays West Ham today, they should be able to overtake Liverpool for the top standing. My prediction is that arsenal should score 2 goals so that we can get full three points make we able celebrate the new year with the first standing at the table.

Seems like the gunners must have partied and drank too much. I don't like how they've take this game so soft especially at home where they have not lost a good number of five games. I'm keeping my fingers crossed if they can finally comeback into the game to win or at least draw the game amd share a point. London derbis are like this, you'll either get to win or lose so prepare, the best side must definitely win the game at the end of the season.

Playing brighton at home will be very challenging for them since brighton is not an easy opponent especially as they have a lot of players missing out due to injury or suspension. Tottenham managed to pull two back but it was not enough as the damage done is too much. I believe if tottenham players missing out was available it would have been a different story, all i want to see now is the complete player that that started the season for spurs on the pitch again and see how they would perform.

Such teams that remain compact in the back after scoring early are usually hard to penetrate. Arsenal will have to do something extraordinary, maybe pull off a foul in the oppositions box because the forwards don't seem to find enough spaces right now

The way I see it, they are going to drop points tonight and Liverpool will remain at the top for now.

I think Arsenal will soon turn things around and win because their dominance is very strong in this match. It's just that their execution was too slow and it's true, Wets Ham was really able to take advantage of opportunities that, even though they were small, could be really effective. Arsenal are already 0-2 behind West Ham and it is now the 82nd minute. So, it will be quite difficult for Arsenal to take over. unless their trainer can make something happen unexpectedly. but this seems quite difficult.
