What I have said previously in this thread seems to be true that there is no team show their consistency this season. Who predicted that Arsenal and Spurs will lose with 2 goals difference?

Many do not believe that Tottenham and Arsenal should suffer defeat in this match, both teams are favorites to win the match. But in the end Tottenham and Arsenal had to accept the fact that Brighton and West Ham were truly surprising.

For Spurs, some people might predict that it would not be easy game for them but conceding by 4 goals earlier is something unpredictable. On the other match, Arsenal wasted the opportunity to overtake the 1st position from Liverpool in the standing. I think the upcoming window transfer will be the key for all teams to improve their squads. Most teams has the same issue, its all about missing players due to injuries but they dont have good secondary players to contribute to the team when the main players are unable to perform well.

I am absolutely sure that there are many gamblers who lost money because of these two matches.
Arsenal and Tottenham have a good probability of winning, but the reality is different. Ange Postecoglou had to get Brighton to lead by 4 goals before his team finally got back 2 goals late before the game was over. Arteta was no different, it was a surprising defeat which could result in Manchester City equaling their points in the next match.

Now Liverpool leads the standings with a gap of 2 points from Arsenal, meanwhile Manchester City, who will play at home against Sheffield, will most likely win that match to climb up to second place in the standings. Manchester City has the opportunity to be 2 points behind Liverpool if they win, but victory is something very convincing for them.

Everton yesterday did played well, they had a very active attacking force which at some point almost affected the rhythm of Manchester citys attack and they even made good efforts to be penetrative at the defense line of Manchester city, I was impressed too at Everton's performance regardless they weren't able to win of course city was bigger.


Manchester city did absolutely well, been able to absorb the pressure Everton was trying to bring at them and later took charge of the match, calmed the whole pressure and won the game by the end of the second half after Everton was leading at the end of the second half, without haland I expected a fewer goal but again Manchester city proved they are not very much dependent on any single player but collectively they play to win, as their team spirit is top notch the victory was very much deserving and the game was such an interesting one.

Everton did make several attempts to attack and make Manchester City defense fooled but they failed, they couldn't make Manchester City make mistakes that could give them the lead.
Just look at Manchester City turning around, all the front line players started launching attacks and dominated every minute of the match and of course made all the Everton players feel difficult pressure.

What is clear is that this match was truly worthy victory for Manchester City.
I was quite impressed with their appearance.

Even though they were playing without Haaland, Manchester City were still able to perform quite well and in today match they managed to beat Everton with score of 1 - 3.
This victory made Manchester City get the full 3 points and slowly they managed to catch up and narrow the gap in the standings.
It was pretty good game and Manchester City really dominated the game from the start of the match.

I got decent odd for the team that is seeded and the favorite.
This is an impressive victory that Manchester City gave us all.

This is a prove that without De Bruyne and Erling Haaland, Manchester city can still dominate which they used Everton to show example to other teams by defeated Everton 1-3 in the home of Everton to embraced three points to make their coach happy again. I know that Manchester city will not just give up like that in this season despite the injuries challenges they are experiencing but their coach has tried some players in the team and they displayed well to prove to people that they are capable to do what De Bruyne and Erling Haaland  can do. If Manchester city can succeed in this match without De Bruyne and Erling Haaland, I believe they will do everything possible in their next match to embrace another victory to continue matching forward.

De Bruyne and Erling Haaland are two very important players for Manchester City but in the match against Everton they proved that without these two important players they can still play well and be strong team.
Just imagine what if De Bruyne and Erling Haaland could appear and strengthen Manchester City in that match, wouldn't that be much better opportunity for Manchester City to win big.

Arsenal team has performed very badly today, while Arsenal team is currently second in the points table. The West ham United team is very experienced in the attacking department which is why they have been successful in two attacks despite having few attacks. The West Ham United team scored the first goal just 13 minutes after the start of the game. Many people have lost their bets on this game by betting on the strong team they were sure of but at the end of the game their money failed. The Arsenal team's defense was left in a state of disarray as they were unprepared to deal with the two attacks.

We have seen another VAR drama again in the game. it seems like that this result deserved by arsenal caused by the team was playing so garbage against westham. Thanks for westham caused by this club has been helping city so much in climbing up to be even closer to the arsenal and aston villa. Glad to see that arsenal lose three points. The chance for this club to win the game becomes even smaller than before. Im hoping arsenal to lose another match. It will give city a time to pass it easily without even going through the hard competition against arsenal.
Arsenal has been trying so hard in winning the game but it keeps failed to do that. All of my appreciations for westham caused by this club was surprisingly able to beating arsenal without evens scoring a single goal.
Arsenal is getting another bad result and this may be costing this club a lot like last season. Arsenal needs to be ready for the worst situation that is going to happen with the club.

Liverpool might be on the run for the title, winning games and getting business done but I think they're not yet considered as the favorite and if I'm to pick I'd go for Manchester City as the favorite because they knows how to make use of their chances in terms of outstanding games, is a must win for them. But Liverpool, I don't see then getting far as to touching the title. Arsenal are jokers and I won't blame the player Zinchenko like you did because the position he has been playing depending on where the manager puts him, he has been pretty good, the problem is the whole team and Arteta in general.
You went about business against your closest opponent Liverpool and you played out a draw and coming to play against a team that ain't sure if they can win or even get a corner in a game and you lost to a confused team, it only shows that the Gunners are still counting their feet, they don't know or should I say they have forgotten how important winning the league title means to them.
But I still see the Gunners getting a bounce back to top the league, we still have one last dance to witness before heading to 2024, either we see Liverpool lose or Manchester City to lose.

Is Haaland still injured and is it know for how long he will be out? I thought he had recovered already during the FIFA Club World Cup, but it seems that Guardiola doesn't want to risk anything and give him more time to make sure he doesn't start early and get this injury break out again. But Manchester City is still a very respectable team without him. Alvarez is a great player who is able to score from lots of positions and without any big issues. He is one of the most important City players I think. But when Haaland is back, they are definitely a stronger team with him.

As updates are coming about Eric Haaland most chances he will miss few more matches but coach already give date he could be available in of the February which is surely good news for them because he already missed few matches, and now he will miss few more matches, but these are mostly against weaker sides which will not create any problem for them, and they will be able to have him before Champions League big match and with this he will be also available for few Premier League matches which will give him good practice before this big match.

But, as they suffered in last few matches due to injury of their two big players KDB and Haaland now in January transfer window they will be able to have few new faces into their squad which will give them better performance in further any injury case in coming weeks.

Pep Guardiola has prepared a good strategy even though Erling Haaland is injured, and in reality Manchester City can still performed well in the Premier League and can wins the match against Everton. Indeed, the absence of Erling Haaland is very influential because Erling Haaland is a key player but fortunately Pep Guardiola can overcame this problem by replacing Erling Haaland with another striker so that Pep Guardiola is still quite confident at the moments. And the good news is that Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne will soon returned to Manchester City at the beginning of next year to make their contribution to the club they brought, but Pep Guardiola will also remain alert and warning his key player to be careful in maintaining their body condition and maybe will only use it when facing a fairly difficults matches.

Yes, maybe Manchester City will add new player to their squad which will of course further strength them. The same thing will definitely be done by other clubs to further tighten competition.

Arsenal who's consider to be in race with Liverpool for the the EPL title have suddenly dropped from the race,  what do we expected from these clubs now that they lost to Westham United? A recovery back to winning track? The matches are becoming complicated for elite clubs, their opponents are not stopping behind and keen on holding them down and denial of three points. The EPL race is changing into another dimension, we would be expecting new challengers and there's Manchester City who will surpassed Aston Villa and Arsenal who are relenting in their actions to win EPL matches.

This could very well happen, after Arsenal's defeat at home against West Ham made the competition for points from the top teams even fiercer and Manchester City is still being counted on for that.
In my opinion, what happened is not surprising because in the midst of a fairly busy schedule, it certainly has the potential to make players tired and decrease in performance and Arsenal is experiencing this and I don't see this as a decline in Arsenal's performance, they are just unlucky in this match and I am sure in The next match Arsenal will be able to play as usual.

Premier matches are always unpredictable. It already happened since many years ago. So, we shouldn't be so surprised to see the funny matches of Arsenal and Spurs. Specifically for Arsenal, they very often lose points with weak teams. And it will lead them to a decrease of their performance in the next matches. I honestly don't know why Arsenal often started the season impressively but they end the season with a very bad way.

I don't think so. Guardiola seems harder to win the title this season. Don't forget there is Liverpool in the top of EPL standings. I'm sure Liverpool has a big ambition to win the EPL title this season. If we compare between Arsenal and Liverpool, Liverpool seems to be more convincing to win the title. Liverpool also has a more experienced coach (Klopp).

All soccer fans around the world know about this English Premier League is one of the toughest and unpredictable league which can create many shocking results and surprises in one day as we have yesterday first Brighton completely thrash Tottenham, and then we have embarrassing defeat for the Arsenal which bring them down to the 3rd spot as now Manchester City is going to face relegation zone team Sheffield United on Saturday.

Arsenal now drops 8 points into their last 4 matches which is surely going to hurt them at the end again like last season I was checking the highlights of this match and feel Arsenal were aggressive but sadly their luck was not with them, and they have done good job but still not able to score any goal which is surely problem, and they need to fix this in January transfer window if they want to have title otherwise things are looking not good for them, and they can stay into top three but have no chances for the title again with Manchester City is back and Liverpool is having only 2 points lead.

What gives you the assurance that Liverpool will be the club that will be this season EPL winner. You are too quick to judge because we just got to half of the season with 19 matches played, this cannot make you give Liverpool the favorite club to win because they are topping the league. If Arsenal has being topping the league for few weeks now and still they can't beat their chest to say that they will be the winner. Manchester City started topping the table in the beginning of this season but now look at where they are. Every club will still be faced with their misfortune and whoever an overcome it with losing much points will win the league.

I was wrong thinking Arsenal would win against West ham but I would say in the long run Manchester City as better chances of challenging Liverpool for the Epl title but they continue to suffer injury crisis and this season might be an unfortunate for them just like how Liverpool were unfortunate except Pep can turn things around like Ancellotti which I think he can't now and things just got worst with John Stones injury but I guess he could get some players this January. Arsenal are too inconsistent among the 3 and so even if they top the league for weeks that won't guarantee us to say they will win it but you see Klopp and his men are different

Arsenal played very well yesterday but failed to convert the many chances created. West ham were ruthless and decent. They converted two of their three shots on target, while Arsenal squandered a host of opportunities and they have now missed the chance to move top of the league.
Sometimes I don’t understand why Arsenal dominate their opponents and find it difficult to score them. Yesterday, they had 77 touches on the opposition’s box but failed to register a goal.

I think desperation doesn't win matches, tactical plans and execution does, no matter how much of opposition area touched or chances created, the better side will always win based on execution of a well thought out plan.
Arteta needs to address his players and find a better strategy on converting their chances if they are to contest for the title this season.

They was really compact when defending the ball, they made good use of the corner to seal the game from Arsenal's former defender who was sent out to the hammer's.
Declan Rice also gave out and calculated a ball wrongly which lead to penalty but they failed to score. Raya not getting complemented because they lost the game.

Only if Arsenal had a good goalscorer, then they should have won the game tonight. Gabriel Jesus should have converted the both headers but he failed to do that.

Unfortunately, Arsenal didn't win this match, even though Arsenal had tried hard to win because it looked like they always kicked at goal several times and showed that Arsenal had tried by showing that Arsenal's possession of the ball was better than West Ham's, but in reality, West Ham's defense is difficult to penetrate. Feeling really frustrated with this result even Arsenal were in complete control through the match, but they were unlucky to have no goal even we have 30 shots from them on goal with 20 in just second half, but this was not their day and surely this is going to be the biggest disappointment for them and their coach with this defeat now they could be slipped to third and things could be not easy for them in coming weeks they have to bring some changes if they want to stay alive for the title race Manchester City is now also back in business, and they will surely not disappoint their fans with any further poor result.

There is no doubt this could be counted as embarrassing defeat for the team and coach Mikel Arteta who is doing good job throughout his tenure at the Arsenal.

It was quite surprising as a lot of people envisaged an Arsenal win. I did too as I had expected Arsenal to win the game with some difficulty. I had predicted both teams to each score a goal but Arsenal coming out victorious but I got both my predictions wrong.
Arsenal didn’t win the game nor did they score a single goal. I’ve never been one to consider playing at home to be that much of an advantage, if any and it was again shown in that game. West Ham United seems to have figured out how to defend against Arsenal. Arteta's lineup, formation, tactics, and especially his substitutions have become quite predictable. Arsenal made a mistake in their formation, and West Ham took advantage of it, mercilessly defeating them. Arsenal's performance was very poor, and they were slow in their build-up to attack. West Ham strategically had many defenders in the middle, making it extremely difficult for Arsenal to score.

The game was not so bad at Arsenal, after all, 30 shots on goal is a lot, just could not realize and in addition Areola played at West Ham excellent. In addition, the moment with the goal, when the ball probably went out of the field was very controversial.

Apparently Arteta is right when he says that Arsenal dominated all 100 minutes of the game, but unfortunately it did not affect the result much and in general I agree that Arsenal to become champions such matches must win, at any cost otherwise the champion this season he will not become a champion.

But west Ham is in good condition even though the previous week was slaughtered 5-1 by Liverpool and 5-0 by Fullham, but over all in the last five matches is quite good, from the way they collect points and goals have a good level of progress in the midst of this league , so far collecting 33 points, 6th position in the standings, far better than Manchester United.

If you think it looks silly because it is like an illogical thing, but what is name as a ball and every team on the field can recognize the weaknesses of the opponent, then the opponent will be defeated by the match. Arsenal did have a non -stability to win the second half of the league until the end of the season, like last year, maybe it was a curse for the Gunners.

But speaking of winners in my opinion Manchester City seems to want to return the trophy this season, Guardiola has the same ambition for treble this season.

Arsenal who's consider to be in race with Liverpool for the the EPL title have suddenly dropped from the race,  what do we expected from these clubs now that they lost to Westham United? A recovery back to winning track? The matches are becoming complicated for elite clubs, their opponents are not stopping behind and keen on holding them down and denial of three points. The EPL race is changing into another dimension, we would be expecting new challengers and there's Manchester City who will surpassed Aston Villa and Arsenal who are relenting in their actions to win EPL matches.

They have not been eliminated from the competition, Arsenal's defeat against West Ham was quite surprising, especially since Arsenal were playing at home, but that's football, many surprising things happen.
However, I think that Arenal, Liverpool and also Manchester City have enough strength to compete for the title and it is possible for these teams to be able to compete until the end of the season. This season is still very long and all possibilities are still possible.

Of course the premier league is a three horse race this  season, the defeat against Westham doesn't mean that Arsenal are out of the title race. Defeat is normal so I don't really see Arsenal to give up on the league title because of their second defeat of the season. It is going to be an exciting season ahead as their are still many surprise ahead.

Why do we keep ruling out Liverpool in the race for the premier league tittle?To me, Liverpool are favourite for that tittle because I don't see Arsenal and Arteta's men win it again as they slip in the race.WestHam had always been a problem to them,but I blamed the manager,Arteta for not using a tactics that will be difficult for the Harmers,instead,he kept on playing Zinchenko who is a total problem when we face teams that have a very good attacking threats.
WestHam always knows how to win Arsenal,and yesterday,was another bad day for the gunners who now sits second to Liverpool.The tittle race is becoming complicated as games become more tough.

You are right and there is still the second half of the EPL to come... But other clubs are in the competition too... Aston Villa is showing great results this season, Spurs will also fight, although their game has become worse, they still have not many less points...
