One of the most important things for me considering this season is whether Manchester United will be able to start performing at the level they should. They are a big team and have already a great lineup too. The only problem is their system. As of Rangnick's joining the team as the new manager, I'm just hoping to see the team getting better day by day. But for now, they continue to struggle as we saw it in the game against Wolves. But once they start playing solidly, they can fight for the title too. Maybe not in this season but in the next one.
Chelsea and Tottenham both played with their usual starting elevens as I can see. But Chelsea really dominated the game from the start to the end. They literally owned the first half though and didn't even let Tottenham shoot for once. And they finished the job by scoring two goals in this half. In the second half, Tottenham got more chances but there was no happy ending. Chelsea got a decent 2-0 win and captured a good advantage before the rematch in Tottenham.
Since Sir Ferguson's departure in 2013, they've been saying that next season is our turn, but despite spending millions on players and coaches every fecking season, they've never come close to winning a trophy, and they're gradually slipping out of the top 5- 7 teams. They have one of the best squads in the league, but something is still missing somewhere; they need people like Pep and Conte to turn things around; some players need to be motivated; they need a disciplined coach to awaken the team spirit; Mourino was building something, but his time was cut short due to the English media's hatred of him; he was the only one who ever led them to a trophy since Ferguson left; they will continue to be in shadows of other teams if they don't get things right from the management board.

It's funny how managers take the blame for everything even when it's not their fault.Give the manager some time. See the problem with United players is that they  cant even do a simple 6 yard pass. They are too lazy and entitled to do some running and put the pressure on the opposition. Rangnik strategy is based on pressing and without it they look him look bad. Some players are not on board with what the new manager wants to do which is in itself not good.

Manchester United are playing badly, here you can't blame the coach. Mutual bonding between the players should be made by the coach.
But there is also the fault of the players. Every Manchester United player is talented, almost everyone is a star player. The coach will not teach them the game now. Players must have a tendency to perform well. But I rarely see the tendency for Manchester players to perform well and win. Earlier, Manchester United used to play as a team. But now the midfielders feel that their responsibility is over only by passing the ball to the forward's player. If they continue to play like this, they will not be able to win any match by performing well.

@Minor Miner I agree that Manchester United player’s need to shoulder the blame for their sloppy performances so far, but Ole and now Ralf is to be equally blamed for favouritism. Lastly until we get a a coach who picks player’s based on merits, promotes harmony this Manchester United won’t win and we’ll also lose player’s like Van De Beek, Lingard who deserve to be starting and he should seriously consider dropping other non performing player’s.

Manchester United seem to be in a big trouble now. It is halftime and I'm really surprised as they managed to keep the score at 0-0 somehow. Because I really admired Wolves' great performance in this game until now. Manchester United seemed really desperate about defending their opponent. And they couldn't have as many attacks as Wolves in the first half. Rangnick should help his players gather themselves up somehow. Or it really looks like they could even lose this game. I really don't like to see Manchester United playing this poorly.
a club as big as manchester united is very unfortunate because they have not found their best game like when sir alex ferguson was a coach, until now there has been no coach who can make the game manchester united improve, manchester united is still playing inconsistently, manchester has not been able to show their best game, whoever coaches manchester united must have strong pressure, because coaching a big team has a lot of different pressure from us training a small team, the defeat of manchester united last night made it even more difficult for them to get a ticket to the champions league this year..

A team that has really improved is Arsenal,a team that was at the bottom of the table some couple of months back has come out running with speed for top four finish.

They have shown class in their last games, proven to be a tough side with the level of game and performance on the pitch.
This Arsenal side consisting mainly of younger players are really very good and have displayed class and team work.

+1!  Nobody could really deny that Arteta is doing a great job in turning things around with the Gunners.  I was laughing at them at the beginning of the season, esp with their signing of Ben White for around 50m GBP or some crazy price for him.  I still think Arsenal paid too much for him but it seems like he’s doing a decent job?  Dunno...  I’ll watch more Arsenal matches more closely.  I haven’t been watching football like I used to tbh.  Been watching and betting more UFC.  But I still do have an idea what’s going on at the EPL.

Basically, the manager is responsible for 80% of the team performance because it is what the manager tells the players that they can actually play to, he sets the formation, he makes changes, he chooses the players he wants in his team, and if he has everything he needs, who is to blame if the players do not perform to expectations? Of course, the manager, the players are there to serve the club and the manager, and if the team does well, the manager also gets credit.

Pep Guardiola, as well as seven other first team players, can now be isolated after testing positive for COVID-19. In total, there are 13 players available from their first team starting in the next match out of a squad of 20 players. It is still possible to beat Swidon Town FC tomorrow despite that. It is my wish that they recover quickly before their match against Chelsea and do not lose points like other teams.

I was thinking that the EFL Cup game between Chelsea and Tottenham would end in a draw. But I thought like that considering that Tottenham would play well too. But that wasn't the case truthfully. Tottenham showed a terrible performance after some time. Chelsea had the dominance nearly the whole game. Chelsea finished the job in the first half and won by a 2-0 result. Conte should make his players motivated for their next games.

Arteta is really doing a great job at arsenal but he still need support in the transfer market, they need more experience no disrespect to the younger guns like Odegard,Saka and smith Rowe, and Tierney they are doing a great job.but they still needs experience if they want to achieve anything in this new Era players like Isco and Coutiho we do well in this arsenal team and a very good top striker.
Even though they were underestimated at the start of the season, Arteta managed to prove that Arsenal still deserves to be called a big 4 team today, but I agree with what you said, if Arsenal currently still need some players to be able to support their performance in the league, even though do not have a busy schedule, but arsenal must be able to back up their main players with other players who are also good if later injured or absent from the game, apart from midfielders I think defenders and strikers should be arsenal's main priority in the current transfer market, because I have seen several Arsenal matches, lot the goals that were created did not come from players who played as pure strikers.

First step forward, chase Woodward away, secondly, get a new manager like Pep Guardiola.
Thirdly strip of the captain armband off Maguire, be should watch Jones henceforth, four, reduction of salary they pay unserious player's around, wanting to be pensioners soon.

Else they'll be the next Arsenal we saw three to four years back.

To an extent you are right, arsenal are need a proper striker Auba is a disappointment and lacarzeth is not consistent and unreliable so I think they should go for a proper nine, the guy at fiorentina would have been a better option but I don’t think they can have him to many competitions for his signature, they are good at the back but they still need a player there in case of injuries.
With one of the worst start of this season now they are staying at fourth really great achievement for them with Arteta is doing great job with few young players but sadly now they have few issues like Auba is out with disciplinary reasons and Lacazatte is also not interested to review his contact and want to leave, so club is looking for other options which are in their range and few days back we have rumor they can sell Saka if they needed for buying few skilled players but right now many things have to come in next few days because now they are on good track, and they need few good players for better results in next season and having good end of this season few teams already in touch with them for having better spot.

If it motivation, everybody knows Conte knows how to motivate his players and that is simply what he has used to win league for his former club. And ever since he came to Tottenham, they have been much more better than how they were before. It was just a bad day for them, and they also missed some of their important players like Eric Dier.

Firstly, the expression that the team always wins, and the head coach always loses has not been canceled yet Wink Therefore, no one is surprised when, in case of failures, the main culprit and the main victim is the head coach of the team, but with a successful performance of the team, much less attention is paid to the aspect of the head coach. Of course, the head coach has a significant impact on the team's game due to the reasons already mentioned above, but no head coach will be able to go on the field and implement his ideas by virtue of his ideas or, conversely, correct team tactics mistakes, except in very unique cases, which, due to their rarity, can be neglected.

@igehhh,  So far, we often hear this every time team lose a match, but when the team wins only a few praise the coach performance Grin, indeed what you say is true, if the coach is in charge of formulating strategies and so on, but I don't fully agree if in this case the coach is fully responsible for a defeat, because sometimes we often see if the coach screams outside the field and even with an emotional face because the players don't do what the coach says, I think when on the pitch the players will improvise by their own style of play and did not fully follow the instructions of the coach, so I think the players should also be responsible for the defeat because they directly had a big hand in the match.

I’m pretty sure it will be another fixture that’s going to be postponed if by next weekend they’re still sick with covid.  Everton had 5 players who got suck and Benitez protested why that match wasn’t posponed.  The FA eventually did a day before the match.  The FA should start taking care of the welfare of the players before they start thinking of going on strike imho.

First step forward, chase Woodward away, secondly, get a new manager like Pep Guardiola.

Lol.  Have you been following the comings and goings in the EPL?  United had Van Gaal and Mou back to back at one point.

And the next Arsenal?  No...  They’re looking like the next Liverpool after the 80’s.  It took decades to get back to their former glory.

Coutinho has joined Aston Villa until the end of the season, probably because he knows his playing days for Barcelona are over and because Villa manager Gerrard was his teammate at Liverpool before he moved to Barcelona in that £146 million move in January 2018.

Kieran Trippier joined Newcastle United, he moved from Atletico Madrid for £12 million.

Which other notable transfers have taken place so far?

With the joining of coutinho to aston villa automatically makes all the speculation that countinho will go to arsenal has ended, , But I am a little surprised by the agreement reached between aston villa and barcelona now, previously arsenal had also submitted a proposal to recruit coutinho limited to loan players, but barcelona openly refused because they intended to sell coutinho this season permanently, but who knows what special offer was made by aston villa so that barcelona agreed to their proposal to borrow coutinho?
Coutinho and gerrard do have a close relationship but if  could choose between aston villa and arsenal, I think coutinho would prefer to join arsenal which is a big team.

I don't think that in the January transfer window there will be an important transfer, because usually clubs will keep their best players at least until the end of the season, besides that many players who play in the champions league or uefa league will not be targeted by other big teams that also play in the champions league or uefa league, from the past usually an important transfer market will always occur in the summer transfer market.

Aston Villa made a really good transfer by signing Philippe Coutinho. The Steven Gerrard link must have been effective especially. He has been loaned to them and there is a buying option which is 40 million euros. It is good to see Coutinho back in the Premier League of course and we will see how much he will perform in the remaining matches. If Aston Villa find his performance good enough, they might think of signing him permanently too.

I don’t think Arsenal needed him. They already have a player who plays the No.10 position in Martin Odegaard. The young boys are hungry and want to impress in every game because they want to win something. Coutinho has won few trophies in Bayern Munich and he’s 29Y/O at the moment. Arsenal are trying to shift their recruitment around younger players. Steven Gerrard showing how big name managers can attract top players. I doubt Coutinho would have gone there if Dean Smith was still the manager. Steven Gerard is the perfect manager to get the best out of Couthinho. I think he'll do well at Villa and looking forward to seeing him play. I just hope he can rekindle some of that magic and help Steven Gerard and redeem himself in the process.
You can't compare or put Odegard ahead of coutinho in anyway,I think arsenal miss a good opportunity by not signing him he would have brought so much to do,his experience, skills  and magic, and the young ones like Smith Rowe and saka would have benefited from his time with them.
Big one for Aston villa they always come up with suprise transfer just like they did with Danny Ings but this coutinho signing by Aston villa shock me.

It wasn’t really much of a shocker if you consider that Coutinho played with Gerrard a while back at Liverpool and Gerrard was even captain.  Gerrard also rates Countinho highly judging from the statements I’ve read.  So between Arsenal and Aston Villa where would you go if you were in Coutinho’s shoes?

I hope he does well tbh and Aston Villa actually acquires him during the summer.  I think it’s high time that he got some favorable situations from here on out.  He has been unlucky.
