Manchester United 3-0 Leicester City

Manchester United had a good win over Leicester City in the final game as interim manager for van Nistelrooy. I was disappointed by Nottingham Forest losing specially after they had taken the lead but Newcastle United played well.

Ipswich Town recorded their first win of the season after going a goal down at Tottenham. It seems Arsenal played better than I had expected but still Chelsea did enough to win the game and would b disappointed with a draw.

United were impressive, lucky day for them after facing a weak team. They require this same energy to meet up a better position on the table at least to end up qualifying for the Europa once more because they might not be the champions this time to forcefully knock out the team that finishes 6th in order to qualify once again.

Chelsea also played well but lots of correction needs to be done, the forward needs a bit of more communication to enhance their performance same with Sanchez (Keeper) who has a bad passing skill, i will commend Onana for his absolute brilliance in that aspect.

I don't know what will be of Tottenham this season, they have lost close to half of their already played matches, the players are quality but unfortunate for them what they always get as the outcome, finishing among the top 6 might just end up being something they dream about.

So far for Manchester United, I think Rashford and Garnacho do not fit into Ruben Amorim's playbook. They may play well individually but I think they need another team to prove how much the are worth despite their 3-0 will over Leicester.
Arsenal may be struggling this season and it was shown in their last match, although Martinelli's return from injury did prove to be beneficial due to the goal he scored, the other players need to wake up if they intend to maintain their top spot now, seeing that Manchester City is also struggling to find a rhythm after having lost almost four matches in a row. Also as Chelsea has regained form as well, it might become increasingly hard for the previous league winners to maintain the top spot this season.

Nottingham has done well in recent games but I'm not convinced that they have what it takes to compete at the top level and remain in the top 4 — Newcastle made that clear today with that comeback.

Nottingham Forest do not have the same amount of money that the big clubs do therefore they cannot compete with them over the course of a full season but if they stay injury-free and play with their regular starting eleven they might be able to finish the season in a much higher position than previously expected. At least they are not in a relegation fight this season.

Next set of fixtures are gonna be a couple of weeks away.  But looking at the match ups, I don't know about you guys but I think Man City to win vs Tottenham at home could be a good bet after City lost to Brighton away.  It's gonna be at the Etihad and they just lost their last game...  They'll be out for blood.  Hopefully the books put more value at City thinking they're declining.  No...  These guys are EPL champions.  These guys will bounce back and give the Spurs a total trashing. 

...  Dunno tho.  But seems like City at -1 could be decent bet of the odds are say around 2.30 or higher.  But again dunno.

Easy wins for Chelsea, Liverpool and probably Arsenal. I know Nottingham often acts like they can do great things to big teams (they did it to Liverpool at anfield this season) but Odegaard is back so there's good vibe with this Arsenal team. I'd expect Tottenham to get at least a point at the Etihad because they lost horribly to Ipswich last timeout. I need them to fight hard against City because awin for Tottenham is a win for Liverpool or any other team looking to break City's monopolized reign in the Premier League.

I think this is the only match I will be looking forward to after the international break.
I would like to see what the new United manager has in stall or his new team. I was against the decision to leave Sporting mid-season, but I can blame him for answering the call because this is a very big step in his career.

I watched Sporting a few times and I saw how good they are. I even watched their last match against Braga up till when Sporting equalised.
Manchester United fans should not be over-excited because Ten Hag was very good at Ajax too.
I just need to watch the new manager's team against Ipswitch. The players at United are not as bad as they have been made to seem. If the new manager can get their confidence level up and play them according to their strenth he can get a competitive team out of them. I'm a little bit hopeful about this new era, but I don't expect United to start challenging for the title this season.

Teams like Nottingham Forest usually have blistering starts to their PL game but it's very easy for them to lose momentum and steam when the going gets tough which is usually during the second half of the season. But for now, I want them to deliver an upset to Arsenal and Tottenham delivering a blow to City would mean more points for Liverpool which would come in handy down the road.

Also, Man Utd to lose.  

I would not be surprised if they lost. Playing away at Ipswich Town will not be easy.

The general concensus is that Man Utd will get good now that they have Rúben Amorim as their head coach. But I think that we might not see quick success like Arne slot have had with Liverpool. Statistically speaking, Man Utd >>> Ipswich but the possibility is always there.

In all honesty, teams such as Nottingham Forest are usually fighting relegation all season therefore it is refreshing to see them around the Champions League spot at this stage of the season. With their name added to the list alongside the usual names, it gives hope to smaller clubs.

I hope they get back to playing how they were before the home defeat by Newcastle United and show themselves to be difficult opponents.

Nope, not easy for Arsenal imho...  Nottingham Forest has been playing really decent at home and away in the EPL.  And surprised to see that they are above the mid table in the league.  They're playing Arsenal away and their away record is looking pretty good.  They got max points from Liverpool and got a point each against Chelsea and Brighton even tho they got a record for both matches.  The Nottingham Forest squad got grit.  And it won't surprise me if they get three points against Arsenal.

Draw no bet is at 5.40 and the double chance is at 3.05.  Decent value bets me thinks...

We can't be relying on Cole Palmer always as when he doesn't perform, we don't play well. Nkunku, Felix needs playing time because these players have alot to offer and the small minutes isn't enough to have an impact.

Different players usually bring a positive impact to the team and Chelsea players have the quality to bring that impact. Enzo Maresca’s selections can change the atmosphere in the team in a positive way, the team needs that positive atmosphere.

Cole Palmer is doing more than his share and we can’t expect him to perform well in every match. There are a lot of quality players in the team and if they get more space and motivation, the team can go to the next level. The Premier League is a tough competition and if you make the wrong squad selections, it becomes very difficult for your team to climb the ranks. Chelsea need to make good choices and show their quality on the pitch or things will get even harder.

This only matters to teams like Arsenal and City that are heavily dependent on 1-2 players. Arsenal with Odegaard, City with Rodri/KDB. But it's a good call though.

I didn't mean all the B team players, alot of them are shit/have not developed properly for the premier league but there are some big names that aren't happy that they're not getting minutes in the premier league. Nkunku and Felix are the two standout names. Joao Felix tore off his sock ties in frustration when it became clear he wouldn’t be coming on against Arsenal according to reports.and for Nkunku there's rumours of a possible move although Chelsea has denied it but we know there's no smoke without a fire.

That's my point too, he shouldn't be predictable. We have different attacking options, he should start using/combining them properly to give us results and keep the players happy too. Some of the A team players are becoming too comfortable like Noni because they feel their position in the team are guaranteed.

Basically, there has been a long break in the Premier League because of the international games and the players and fans cannot wait for the season to continue. With that in mind, adrenaline will probably be running high as all the players will be wanting to make an impact and that could lead to more surprises. For me, it is no longer a surprise to see Manchester City lose games therefore if Tottenham manage a win or get a point, that is to be expected.

If Fulham win at home to Wolves, they could jump to 3rd place if other results are in their favour but either way would have 21 points with a stunning W6 D3 L3 record for a small club. Nottingham Forest could be on 22 points if they win their game against Arsenal therefore the smaller clubs have a lot of incentive to go out and play attackign football.

On the other note; There hasn't been any injury concern yet, and players have been withdrawing from international games since the first week to reduce fatigue before league games return; most of the games are unless, and players didn't want to take the risk.

The internationals went well as far as injuries were concerned therefore if fully fit players are in the starting eleven then we could be witnessing an excellent weekend of football. I found the international games a little boring and did not pay too much attention but I was (and still am) eager for the Premier League to return.

Chelsea have an excellent opportunity to add points by playing away at Leicester City as they want to remain in 3rd place behind Manchester City. Arsenal are on joint points with Chelsea and they too would want to add points when they play at home against Nottingham Forest. Away from the usual teams Fulham, Nottingham Forest and Brighton will be trying to upset the bigger teams as they try keep up their attempt to remain part of the chasing pack.

Uh...  More or less agree.  But I can't see Bournemouth winning against Brighton.  Maybe add that to your choices for draws as that's the best result they could get in that spot.

As for your predictions for draws, I think Man City will come back strong in their next match after back to back losses.  And Liverpool too, I also can't see them losing against Southampton of all clubs...  I like the Nottingham Forest pick for draw tho.
