First of all, if a manager such as Pochettino decides he wants a player for his team because he fits in to his ethos then that alone is a massive compliment but when the club currently owning the player decides to use that against them in order to try to get more money then they are taking a risk especially as the manager can refuse to get in to any negotiations.

I can understand there is a need for clubs to hold out for a higher price before any of the transfer windows close (summer or winter) but overpricing players have one serious outcome and that is the chasing club will go elsewhere to find a replacement.

West Ham have sold Rice to Arsenal for £105 million therefore if they have money to invest. They will want to strengthen their squad because they do not want to be in a relegation battle next season. Maguire might be a good fit there, Moyes is a good manager that could help Maguire get his form back with regular playing time.

honestly it's hard to understand Tottenham, today they had a friendly game against barcelona, it was a game in which barcelona scored first, but 20 minutes later tottenham draw and minutes later tottenham scored another goal and with that they are already winning. tottenham could have won the game, until the 81st minute barcelona scored a goal and the game was draw, but what was expected happened, in just 3 minutes tottenham conceded 2 goals and lost the game, why do i say that was already expected? because last season it was normal for tottenham to win and then the opponent drew and won the game, in friendly games tottenham only beat weak opponents and in the game against a strong opponent they lost

the reason I said all this is because, strangely, Harry Kane, who was playing in the 2 friendly games against weak teams, was not playing today in the game against barcelona, this seems to me a strategy by tottenham to show that the team does not he wins games when he doesn't have Harry Kane playing and for that reason the price of Harry Kane has to be very high, but they are ignoring the fact that Harry Kane is 30 years old, even when bayern buys him, I doubt it that after bayern some other team in europe will pay a very high price for Harry Kane, not even the Arabs who are spending a lot of money on signings will not spend a lot of money buying Harry Kane in 2 or 3 years
