They were really horrible last season and something really needs to change significantly. Pochettino has come and there are players coming and going recently. There is no guarantee for anything maybe but it would be nice to see Chelsea fighting for the positions they should be this season.

Even though Manchester City is still the strongest contender, I think Arsenal will be the team that will push them the hardest.

I don't think the team to fight Man City for the league will be Arsenal. My bet is on Liverpool. Liverpool have done very good business this summer and they are not yet done. They ended the season in a very fine form and I think they will pick up that form from where they left off. That will be the difference better the coming season and last season. Last season, Liverpool started very badly. They lost so many mwntchs and that made them drop down on the league table, but it would be different next season. Klopp has identified the things he lacked last season and he's filling those holes up little by little.
MacAllister is a very good midfielder and he's part of the missing link of Liverpool. Klopp need a player that can connect the defense to the attack and MacAllister is that man.
I look forward to seeing the title race between Manchester City and Liverpool next season because it would be an interesting one.

Well, it is pre-season and these are friendlies (even of there is a combative edge somewhere in the games) and anything can happen. Though Pouchettino might not have top European trophies his name but I think his presence would have an impact to the Chelsea team because he's has good coaching mentality and have had experience in England while coaching Tottenham before leaving, he's a coach that knows how to bring out the best in young players and gives them opportunities to showcase their talent and with the Chelsea team filled with a good number of young talented player would mean alot to their team

Man I'm not concerned about Poch; I'm concerned about our transfer activity and the kind of players we have; we have talent, but in the Premier League, talent is never enough; we need more experienced players; and we've been very slow in our negotiations since the window opened. Poch has to be supported in the same manner that Potter and Lampard were. We can't compete with this squad.

We are not Tottenham, and managing Chelsea comes with a lot of pressure.

Brighton are adamant they will not sell for less than £100 million, which to honest is ridiculous for a player that has that much potential but has not fully proven himself yet. Mac Allister was an important factor for both Brighton and the Argentinian national side therefore the £35 million Liverpool paid truly was a bargain. I cannot understand why Brighton and trying to stall for more money when they could lose the deal altogether.

I think Brighton are overpricing Caicedo as well. 100m pounds for him, really? After seeing Rice's being transferred for around the same sum of money some teams must have affected by that too much. As Chelsea are a very rich club now Brighton want to push their luck to the end.

However I don't know if Chelsea would still be keen on signing him. Isn't there any alternative to Caicedo who can be more reasonable to be signed in this situation? Chelsea still have some more players to sign after they lost so many from their squad this summer. Hence I don't know if they would like to meet Brighton's asking price now.

No way we are backing out on Poch primary target he's worth every penny and he's exactly what we need and Brighton knows that. They're simply complicating matters because we refused to return Colwill to them. Brighton is currently only trolling and attempting to get us to pay a high price to get him.

First of all I won't have big expectations from him in his first season. Because he wasn't impressive in the Serie A. He is still very young. I know Haaland is also young but doing amazing things. However he has always been like that unlike Hojlund.

Caicedo must submit a transfer request and pressure the team to lower the asking price if he truly wants to move; otherwise, he risks missing out on the chance to play for a bigger club. We completed the Sanchez deal in less than four days, but we have been working on the Caicedo deal for more than a month.

Supporting a manager is important, but if every club tried to get every player a manager wanted at whatever cost, every team in Europe would be in substantial debt. What clubs do is allow managers to present a list of players they want as well as an alternative B list, but at the end of the day, the club decides what deal is best for the club in the long run, not simply because the manager says so.
 
Paying 80m for Maguire was ridiculous, and on the other hand, Maguire ruined his career by moving to Manautd; he didn't live up to expectations, and the pressure is always on him every time he plays; the fans don't rate him, and he bears the blame whenever the team loses; and the coach doesn't rate him, as evidenced by stripping him of the captain's armband. 20m is a decent price for someone who is now a third-choice CB to get him off his high salary. West Ham have sold Rice to Arsenal for £105 million therefore if they have money to invest. They will want to strengthen their squad because they do not want to be in a relegation battle next season. Maguire might be a good fit there, Moyes is a good manager that could help Maguire get his form back with regular playing time.

We struggled last season without a proper DM, and now we're set to embark on another season without one. We have spent almost €200m on academy players this season, with more to come...if those funds were invested wisely on the senior team, we would not have a problem.

If he isn't ready to give over a transfer request, walking away from the deal is the smartest thing to do at this moment.
