Bayern Munich are still the second biggest favourite team for the Champions League title despite losing Lewandowski to Barcelona.

Many people including me were waiting for seeing them struggling in this season about keeping their usual scoring productivity. They had a time period that they had a problem like that in fact but it didn't take them too long. They are still the same Bayern Munich we are used to watch now. Choupo-Moting is doing a great work and this helped Bayern Munich postpone a top striker transfer to a later date also. But I really wonder what they will do against one of the biggest title contenders which is PSG. These days PSG are having some problems in defense and maybe this can be a good chance for Bayern Munich to make bigger difficulties for them.

But only if you clarify the chances that the bookmakers give to the teams, this second place does not look so serious: City is quoted as 2.5, and Bayern as 6.5. Here I have to say one thing with the resources, quality and performance surely Manchester City deserve the title of the Champions League, but sadly they are the unluckiest team in UEFA history which fail to win this title despite having all things to win but just missing luck is enough for them to never won this title as already mentioned Mourinho is the only coach who won this title with three different teams and many others achieve this all is surely great achievements, but sadly they have never been enough lucky to do this for their own sack even right now I have feeling in this season they will be not able to win because they are having some trouble in last few matches, and they need to fix this all before big show started, and they have to perform as par for the win otherwise this could be again same story for them.

It may not be as expected. In the final they played against Chelsea, everyone saw City as the favourite, but they lost the trophy to Chelsea. They may look bad this year, but when it comes to the cup, UCL is an area where every team player is extra motivated and they will always be one of the strong candidates for the championship.

It is not luck it is just the nature of the tournament, on European soccer leagues the champion of the local league is the team which scores the most points during the season, so the best team should be the one to win as consistency is the key in such a format, but when a tournament follows the knockout stage format, in which a single loss is enough to eliminate them then anything can happen as even teams which may not be as strong can eliminate better teams if circumstances happen to favor them on that particular day.

yes, Chelsea still has time to make its best squad in the best performance before the meeting with Dortmund. this will probably require quite a lot of hard work from the coach to do it. the names of the matches will be replaced by new names, and of course, it will also take time for players to have chemistry.

The major challenge that is causing Chelsea failure in this season is in the area of midfield because, since they removed the old midfielders and replaced with new ones has reduced Chelsea performance to zero level in this season. I guess, Chelsea can still get it right to improve in all their position to give their fans joy because, many people are not happy with their current performance. I believe they will beat Dortmund 2:0 to prepare the mind of people for a bigger victory.

After looking on each clubs performance in their own local league, I think Club Brugge, FC Porto, Chelsea, Tottenham and Leipzig will lose since they'e not even reach top 2 on their own local league especially Chelsea which currently at 10th position. Chelsea's performance has not been good in the last few matches. Players have lost form. They are failing to give their best performance. So Chelsea won only 1 of the last 5 matches. I hope so. Being drawn with Liverpool in Chelsea was not so bad. Chelsea is now even better than before. I hope that new players that will be coming to the Chelsea will make the team able to go up again. Chelsea must have at least participated in the champion league or europa league next season.

not really, teams like PSG and Man City struggle in the champions league even with the good players they have, their leagues and the Champions League are two different competitions and we saw some inconsistencies in their performance and one bad match is all it takes for th to be out of it.

The inconsistencies that happened with city and PSG already happened since a few years ago. I know both have sent so much money but yeah those clubs were not so lucky competing in the UCL. PSG and City have been hiring great coaches but these two teams seem very difficult winning UCL trophy especially pep guardiola who has been aiming to get UCL since he was coming to manchester city, city was very consistent in the EPL but it's not in another competition like UCL.
That proves that it doesn't matter how big your team and winning UCL is still a very difficult task to be done.

They have money, they have very quality players, they also have a great coach. But those facts do not guarantee that there will be great success for them in the Champions League. They are still unable to compete with a team that has a sweet history in this Champions League. Even so, they are quite lucky because with the money they have, they can talk more about the Champions League even though they haven't tasted the title yet.

I don't know why people were always picking those clubs as most favorites while they never won UCL at least 1 time.
