we all know that Dortmund prioritize selling players over winning titles, although they have come far in the champions league they are undoubtedly more interested in selling their best players so chelsea will be playing Dortmund without their good players, I don't even know to what extent dortmund already sold players this january but i'm guessing they sold their best players

Very interesting to see Chelsea performance because they were very active in this transfer window and apparently Potter want to rebuild Chelsea and if we see Chelsea current squad they have very complete players on every positions but lets see whether those new players will adapt quickly with Potter strategy or not but their new player Joao Felix has worst debut that on premier league he got red card which caused he will be punished suspension however seems Chelsea has promising squad and lets see in the next few matches whether they can improve their performance using new players or not but if Chelsea performance getting better I think beat Dortmund isn't hard for them

I am so surprised that they have little taste in fixing it.

Well , we have loftus cheek .. kante .. kovacic and zakaria who recently get recovered from the injury and some of them cannot play yet , so there is no point to bring new midfielders in as we gave plenty of them , the injury crisis makes chelsea have to shop more in the january transfer.

So they can get more serious facing a prestigious competition like champions league.

I have no idea why you can say Manchester City is the most successful club in Champions league because their biggest achievement was on last season where they become a runner up, Manchester City haven't become a runner up or champion in Champions league.

Real Madrid, AC Milan and Bayern Munich have bigger achievement rather than Manchester City, they're the most consistent clubs in Champions league.

Looking on Manchester City's performance in Premier League, I don't think Manchester City will become a champion in this season.

Who knows maybe Real Madrid would be their opponent again and we would see a similar scenario. Guardiola has a really difficult task to perform for reaching the title.

Sincerely, Chelsea winning the champions league is very unlikely to happen because of their poor form, maybe they can try in the next season but for this season I doubt it will happen. The team is unstable and needs some more time to get organised especially with the new signings. Real Madrid, PSG and Manchester city are far ahead of Chelsea, the blues will need a miracle to win the champions league this season.

Saying Madrid is not in the favorites I agree but when saying Madrid is weak I don't really agree with that.
As for the actual Favorites in recent seasons it has remained the same and Manchester City has obviously always been at the forefront but the problem is as you said not all predictions are right especially for the Champions League. It's not impossible that this season there will be some surprises even though for those who are in the final it's clear that only the top teams will be there.

I don't know why people keep saying real madrid was not even strong. This is also happening since last year but yeah real Madrid was always winning UCL so many times what makes them called that the real madrid club a weak club. that's a very weird statement for me to see that. It seems like those people didn't know how good real Madrid is. Bookies were also underestimating real Madrid at this moment by giving bad odds for Madrid. I don't know why bookies were preferring Liverpool in the upcoming match rather than real madrid. Madrid has a bad odd during the first leg of last 16 against Liverpool.

Chelsea seems to be managing both Potter and the players than people actually think of Potter as the main character of Chelsea, the decisions of those new signings are mostly not his but the new management, he said something in metaphor regarding the new Chelsea new players after their yesterday match against Liverpool. If the management or the new owner feels the strikers are their problem in which to some extent I think, they would see the result in time.

It has been a while since I watched Dortmund matches in Bundesliga but when I checked their performance, they are clearly falling out of the top standing by losing matches, it isn't too late for Chelsea to adjust to the new players if they want to advance out of the group of 16.

Yes, we agree that there are a number of problems that the Blues must fix first. I very much doubt Chelsea will be able to qualify for the next round phase, maybe to overthrow Dortmund in the last 16 round later, Graham Potter's squad has a chance for that.

but it will not be easy to overthrow their opponent later, because Dortmund looks like they will start the second Bundesliga season with a positive trend. Now, Edin Terzic's squad have no problem with their injured players, Sabastien Haller may be Dortmund's differentiator in the second half of the season in their domestic league. but, this is just my assumption how it will be later. let's see, Dortmund will carry out the match today in its domestic league.

I can't say they are one of the most successful teams in this Champions League because they are still fighting for trophies here. City have a great squad and probably in a round-robin tournament they would be clear favorites, but in knockout games, how the bookmakers evaluate them is simply ridiculous - the odds for City to win the Champions League are 2.45. In second place is Bayern with a chance of 6.45. Absolute nonsense. City is not so stronger than all the others.

I am one with you. The most serious problem for Chesley now is their injury problem. Several key players are out of the squad due to injuries. In tournaments with playoff stage, yes, money can't buy everything (although it can buy a lot). Unfortunately, in round robin tournaments, money bags easily achieve results. Their resource is simply incomparable with other honest clubs. Nevertheless, this season at least (if a terrible thing happens and one of the cheating clubs win the Champions League) one pleasant event will happen: either City or PSG will once again be left without the desired trophy
